Job description

Development Officer

Location: Our Sale West
Contract:  Fixed Term Contract,  Part time - 22 Hrs Per week
Salary: £32,021 pro rata

Are you ready to champion positive change in your community?

Our Sale West Big Local, started in November 2015 with £1 million from the National Lottery, has been working to improve the Sale West estate for almost ten years. As we move into an important phase of our project, we are looking for a motivated individual to help us complete our projects and achieve the best results for our residents.

Imagine playing a key role in helping to create a legacy for the transformative Our Sale West Big Local project. As our Development Officer, you’ll work closely with local stakeholders, funders, and our dedicated team, you'll manage lease negotiations, oversee refurbishment plans, and ensure the future of our already thriving Community Hub. This role provides a great opportunity to contribute to a community-focused program with the potential for ongoing involvement through our legacy plans.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience securing and managing external project funding.
  • Has knowledge of building improvements and refurbishments or similar
  • Excels in collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
  • An awareness of the local landscape and community issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

If you’re passionate about community development and eager to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you. View the full role description here…

Please note: interviews are likely to be held on the W/C 23rd or W/C 30th of September.
