The Role:
- Lead on the development and implementation of the Individual Giving strategy and programme to retain, acquire and develop donors
- Manage income and expenditure budgets including phasing, reforecasting and contingency planning
- Take a 'digital first' approach to donor acquisition to deliver long term sustainable income growth
- Develop new products for individual giving, regular giving and lottery recruitment
- Manage and support a team of two Individual Giving Officers
- Work closely with internal colleagues across fundraising and marketing, and manage external suppliers to deliver campaigns
About You:
- Solid experience in an individual giving fundraising role in the charity sector with understanding of wide range of direct marketing activities including digital, direct mail, telemarketing, face to face, inserts and door drops
- Experience working for a national charity is desirable
- Proactive, creative and ambitious
- Demonstrate effective relationship-management skills and ability to deliver engaging content for donors
- Ability to work across multiple tasks, be detail-orientated and prioritise workload effectively

Their main role is to provide one to one advice to clients referred through the charity’s Warm and Safe Homes helpline and to deliver energy advice presentations to groups. Energy Advisers sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.

What you will need to succeed
Working within our Communities Directorate you will have demonstrable experience of delivering Energy Advice and helping others. Therefore, it is vital that you have empathy, confidence and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable low-income households.
You will have knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will also have knowledge of assistance available for energy efficiency improvements to low-income households.
You will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders – with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
The successful candidate will operate within Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands or Eastern region of England. The post holder will be required to work closely with all of our partner agencies including Schools and education providers, youth providers across the county. The post holder will also provide wrap around support, training and education, connection, mentoring and purposeful positive activities for our young people. The successful applicant will have a passion for engaging young people in the following:
- Working together with our young people to hear and share their voices about service delivery.
- With the Team Leader, & Service Manager develop and implement a service user involvement strategy, including establishing and supporting a service user board
- Provide a safe “open access closed group” session, where young people can meet and participate in youth led positive activities, volunteering and training.
- Provide accredited and informal training programmes to young people to enhance their personal, social and learning development.
- Providing the ability for young people to become a peer mentor, leading on groups and helping new members to bed in and find their voice
- Support young people to formally volunteer with the service
- The post holder will be required to build links with all of the young people who are referred to NGAGE young people’s team. They will also provide direct mentoring to those young people who use substances and need extra support and intervention.

We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with drive, intellectual curiosity and technical capability to join our small but dynamic team.
The role will work in both our Azure Native environment and co-location data centre. A significant proportion of our line of business applications remain hosted on Hyper-V based Private Cloud and will need to be “fed and watered” until they are moved to new platforms or technologies, a task that this role will assist with. The Youth Ambassadors role is about prioritising youth representation, identity and community across our charitable activity and beyond. The Charlie Waller Team will provide appropriate training, guidance, and ongoing support to those selected.
What will the role involve?
- Working remotely for up to 2 days (14 hours) a month.
- Attending a Charlie Waller Team day in person in March 2025, in London. Travel expenses will be covered.
- Attending up to six online group meetings with other youth ambassadors and the youth involvement team.
- Preparing for all meetings by reading any specified materials and conducting any preparatory activities.
- Making advisory recommendations regarding the Charlie Waller Trust’s existing projects and programmes in schools, universities, colleges and the workplace.
- Opportunities to be involved in our podcast series, our equity, diversity and inclusion and sustainability working groups, fundraising events and co-delivery of training.
- Co-producing new and reviewing current training materials, resources, and communications.
- Opportunities to public speak at CWT meetings and events, as well as at events and conferences with external partners.
- Attending training sessions around topics ranging from public speaking to mental health research.
- Opportunities to attend mental health conferences on behalf of CWT.
- Opportunities to work with partnership organisations such as The Charlie Waller Institute or the Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Coalition.
- There will be other potential opportunities to co-produce and contribute to other CWT projects and activities, for example as a filmmaker/ researcher/ event organiser/ fundraiser etc.
- There will also be opportunities to bring ideas of your own to the Youth Involvement Team.

How much time am I expected to commit?
We expect those joining the Youth Ambassador group to join on a freelance basis for one year from February 2025 to January 2026.
Hours are subject to change each month but on average we would plan for you to work for CWT for up to 14 hours (2 days) per month. The majority of the working hours offered can be arranged as flexibly as possible around your other commitments
Will I be paid?Ambassadors will be remunerated for their time at a delivery and desk rate of £15 per hour for work both online and in person.
Desk work includes training preparation, resource coproduction or review, attending meetings and involvement in focus groups. Delivery work includes training delivery, public speaking at an event about the work of the Trust or hosting or being interviewed on the ambassador podcast.
Any expenses incurred in the role will be covered in line with the Charlie Waller Trust’s expenses policy (public transport or mileage at 45p mile). Payment will be made via bank transfer following the completion of an invoice or hours claim form. Further detail will be provided if you are appointed to the group.

Our service provides independent mental health advocacy to patients within locked secure hospitals and community-based settings where we ensure that patients who are admitted are given a voice to make sure their rights are upheld.
We provide advocacy support for patients with mental health issues and learning disabilities at times when it is important for their wishes and opinions to be heard and their feelings expressed, for instance, representing them during discharge meetings, ward rounds and at multi-disciplinary team meetings.
The primary users of our services are vulnerable adults however some settings do include working with children and young people.
We are looking to recruit a Self-Employed Independent Mental Health Advocate to provide independent and confidential mental health advocacy to qualifying patients and work to agreed outcomes with the patients promoting an understanding of outcomes and options available to them.
You will be expected to work in line with Mental Health Act 1983 code of practice and will be required to produce written reports with the purpose of ensuring the views of the patient is fully represented.

We are currently looking for an innovative and motivated group worker/ youth worker to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
We wish to recruit a Vaping Practitioner to cover the County of Essex, based both at home and within our central office in Chelmsford. This person will deliver the work of The Children's Society to children & young people who are engaged in vaping through the use of individual support and group work, thereby ensuring the children and young people are educated on harm reduction methods and have access to quitting and reduction support.
This role sits within Youth Impact, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for children who urgently need support.
Your experience is key in securing this role:
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-Experience working with young people in a group and one to one setting
-Have understanding of the risks and vulnerabilities young people face especially in relation to vaping
-Have access to a car and a full UK driving license
-Be able to use IT to support case recording and calendar management
You will need substantial experience in working with vulnerable children and young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. Role Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation Service Manager, based in our South Yorkshire region. You will oversee two Coordinators, with the responsibility for 5 safe-house properties in total: To ensure Service Users are supported effectively, staff are managed well, and internal processes and procedures are followed to a high standard, and that all contractual KPI's and standards are met. Where required, you will also play a role in implementing service and system improvements.
Responsibilities
Service Management
- Oversight, line management coaching and support of Coordinators including effective supervisions and annual appraisals.
- Ensure all Service Users are being supported effectively and assist Coordinators with problem-solving and managing incidents, safeguarding issues, and complex cases.
- Ensure all staff are supported and managed effectively by their Coordinators, this includes leave, performance, wellbeing, and training.
- Communicate with the Salvation Army Modern Slavery team where necessary.
- Regular visits to all accommodation sites
- Work collaboratively with People and Culture staff to support and manage staff as needed.
- Organise and run the on-call rota for the service.
- Oversee other services or a team in the absence of Coordinator (ie. Holiday or sickness).
Safeguarding
- Ensure your team works proactively and closely with the Safeguarding Lead to keep all Service Users and Staff safe from harm.
- Ensure that the safeguarding policy and reporting system are strictly adhered to.
Health & Safety / Facilities Management
- Ensure lone-working safety procedures are implemented and sustained.
- Understand H&S standards & requirements and ensure they are monitored and maintained.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Facilities Manger to raise & remedy H&S issues.
Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all KPIs and standards are met and tracked by staff including referrals, exits, RNAs, and accommodation standards.

- Manage Service User or external complaints with the support of Senior Service manager when necessary.

- Manage all performance issues raised by the Assurance team effectively and proactively.
- Ensure the Service is prepared for internal or external inspection & auditing from CQC, The Salvation Army, etc.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with the Head of Service in developing local partnerships and networks.
- Represent Causeway externally at events.
- Proactively engage in Networks and Forums you are assigned to.
Financial Control
- In collaboration with the Senior Service Manager ensure spending is in line with the MSVCC contract, policy, and budget.
- Communicating with the finance team appropriately with regards to month-end, financial requirements for the service, and problem-solving.
