About the role

We’re looking to recruit a People & Culture Systems and Data Services Coordinator to join our People & Culture Operations team at WWF-UK to help develop and maintain an inclusive, safe and empowering culture in which our colleagues thrive.

As a People & Culture Systems and Data Services Coordinator, you will play critical role in ensuring that the team delivers a responsive service to our customers on all aspects of data, analysis, management information and systems work, as well as support core payroll processes when needed.  This will involve acting as a point of contact for routine payroll, systems and data enquiries as well as ensuring that our data and systems are administered efficiently, that the records we keep are accurate, and that information and reports provided are timely and enable insight.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience of HR administration of the complete employee lifecycle.
• Some experience in the use of HR databases & enabling software, preferably iTrent (Core HR, recruitment, & Learning & Development).
• Excellent Microsoft Word & Excel, SharePoint skills.
• Studying for, or accredited in, or prepared to study for a fundamental relevant CIPD qualification or equivalent.
• Flexible approach & willingness to learn.
• Strong communication, team working & interpersonal skills.

About the role 

This is a new role within the Fundraising and Digital Directorate, which oversees all aspects of the charity’s fundraising, brand, website, social media, email communications, and lead generation campaigns. This role sits within the Public Fundraising Team, which secures donations from individuals subscribed to our newsletters and individuals giving up to £5,000 per year, legators and regular givers.

We are looking for somebody who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and wants to develop their fundraising, and specifically digital fundraising skills to have a major impact on the lives of refugees in the UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

• Working with the wider public fundraising team, support the development of plans and activity to manage a portfolio of acquisition, retention and stewardship campaigns including, but not limited to, gathering content, setting up landing pages, creating graphics and assets for digital content, designing ad content, as well as delivering email and social media communications and digital versions of our supporter newsletter.
• Provide digital support for each fundraising project from start to finish. Lead on creating segmented and tailored email journeys – source content and create briefs, liaise with suppliers, create and oversee data selections, exports and imports and manage sign off process.
• Manage our email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
• Ensure continued communications and strong working relationships with the Direct Marketing Manager and Digital and Comms teams.
• Play an active role in coordinating digital communication plans across the organisation, working alongside the Direct Marketing Manager and Comms colleagues to suggest themes and content as well as creating/scheduling content as and when required.

Role Overview

Location: We have an office in Kingston Upon Thames, greater London. Flexible and hybrid working is offered to all staff.

As the CEO of Refugee Action Kingston, you'll lead our organisation in supporting refugees and people seeking asylum in south west London to lead fulfilled and independent lives. Your responsibilities will include:  

Strategic leadership  

• Developing and implementing annual plans aligned with our strategy, in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, to achieve desired outcomes.  

• Maintaining efficient systems for the charity's operations, ensuring good governance and financial sustainability.

• Working closely with trustees to direct and deliver RAK's objectives according to the charity's strategy.

Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University.  Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.

The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager

The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.

 

Salary –  £30,124.49 (Please not this is NOT pro rata. Discovery is a 4 day week organisation, the salary specified above is for a 28 hr working week.)

Working hours 28 per week (we are a 4 day week organisation)

Normal working hours will be agreed between 9 and 5.30, Tuesday to Friday  with a half hour unpaid lunch break, some out of hours working will be expected for which time of in lieu will be granted. Exact working hours to be agreed with the Director.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Enhanced Hostel Intensive Needs Support Coach in Medway to join us on a fixed term contract until 31st March 25 as part of the Rough Sleeper Initiative Project - RSI (this is likely to be extended but is funding dependent) to provide effective practical and personal support and guidance to Pathways’ clients during the period of their stay in our accommodation to enable them to become more resilient and to live independent lives.

Pathways to Independence is committed to becoming a psychologically informed environment; one which considers and responds to, the potential impact of trauma in every area of its service delivery and design

The primary responsibility of the RSI Enhanced Hostel Intensive Support Coach will be to provide personalised support and guidance to individuals referred to Pathways to Independence through the Medway Rough Sleepers Initiative. This will include assessing client needs and providing support to meet these needs, completing safety plans, ensuring the client can identify and access relevant services, liaising with other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure the appropriate support for clients.

You will be allocated a caseload of between 5 and 7 clients who have a history of non-engagement, rough sleeping and complex needs. You will be expected to be proactive, in engaging clients demonstrating an approachable, flexible and caring style. The Intensive Needs Support Coach will be required to participate in activities to encourage the development of skills and the building of positive relationships within the local community.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. You may need to work flexibly outside these hours as per the requirements for the service, residents and participants. You will be based across multiple projects in the Medway area.

What are we looking for?

• Experience of working directly with people who have experienced homelessness, with issues around substance/alcohol use and/or mental health 
• Experience and ability to build rapport and develop a good working relationship with clients who are using substances, some of whom may display challenging behaviour
• Experience of communicating, liaising and negotiating effectively with a wide range of people including clients, other staff, and representatives of other agencies such as local authorities and statutory services and the general public to build strong partnerships
• The ability to work in fast paced and pressured environment whilst managing multiple priorities and demands to complete delegated tasks or meet deadlines
• The knowledge, skills and ability to assess the needs of people with substance misuse/mental health and health problems and to formulate support plans and risk assessments
• A clear knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation and how it can be used as an intervention; a working knowledge of other interventions in the substance use field
• Proven ability to demonstrate compassionate and creative work practices with residents to address support needs and/or risks
• An open-minded approach to work with vulnerable adults and a willingness to learn new ideas and put these into practice
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience 
• Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system

• Experience working with different agencies/organisations and understanding the multi-disciplinary approach (For example working alongside MAPPA)
• Appropriate professional qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Community Justice/Psychology or professional equivalent

• Liaising with other statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure the appropriate support for hard to reach clients and/or those experiencing multiple disadvantage 
• Utilise knowledge, skills and experience to recognise difficult or challenging situations, and use appropriate communication skills to influence and bring about positive change to behaviour
• To offer advice and support to staff working with residents with complex needs, helping to create a safe and trauma informed environment
• Cover for other members of the team as necessary.
• Assess clients with multiple needs to identify support needs, identify risks to complete safety/risk plans and identifying personal goals/desires in conjunction with the client

In this unique role, you will have a fantastic opportunity to develop your coordination, communication and collaboration skills as you work with patient groups, researchers, transplant surgeons, funding bodies and industry. Kidney Research UK acts as the host of this collaborative network. This means that while your line management arrangements will be via Kidney Research UK, your day-to-day work you will be to work closely in support of the two UKODTRN Co-Directors and Deputy Directors, one of whom is a patient leader and transplant recipient, and the other is a transplant surgeon. The scope of the Network covers all donated and transplanted organs. This is referred to as a ‘pan-organ’ approach.

We are looking for a Project Lead (peer support) who will manage all aspects of  a new project, from developing detailed plans and timelines to collaborating with our steering committee to define objectives and success criteria. By building strong links with the community and engaging with existing support groups and healthcare professionals, you’ll help to create a robust network for those affected by ovarian cancer.
