We support families across London, Surrey and Sussex whose children are facing cancer or a life-challenging condition. We’re there whatever the outcome, for as long as needed, so that no family has to cope alone.

The charity was founded in 2004 by our now Chief Executive and has grown enormously over that time. We currently have partnerships with 9 hospitals who refer families to us for our support, which ranges from therapies and counselling, to respite holidays and special family experiences.

Position: Corporate Fundraiser

Location: East Molesey office (opposite Hampton Court Station) with some home working

Reports to: Corporate Partnerships Lead

Hours: 32 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £20,000-£21,600 pro rata (£25,000-£27,000 FTE)

 Main Purpose of the Role

Momentum Children’s Charity’s fundraising team is highly ambitious, driven by our goal to help families of seriously ill children in London, Surrey and Sussex to keep moving forward. Corporate income currently comprises circa 18% of the overall income. But with our expansion in hospital partnership geography, and aspiration to provide support to more families in the future, the expansion of this income stream will be key to this growth.

Working with the Corporate Partnerships Lead, this person will enjoy helping to develop all facets of the corporate fundraising area, working with and forging relationships with businesses to develop opportunities, fundraising and charitable giving, provide outstanding stewardship and relationship management, as well as helping to research and grow a healthy, robust pipeline of new opportunities.

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Work with the Corporate Lead to maximise current and new income, to ensure delivery of the annual target
• Provide a high level of partnership management through stewardship, and effective and regular communications
• Generate, develop, and implement ideas and opportunities to maximise partnerships for the benefit of the entire organisation, including fundraising, pro bono support, volunteering, and gifts in kind
• Support on the development and management of new corporate partners as assigned by the Corporate Lead
• Support the Corporate Lead with the development and maintenance of a dense corporate new business pipeline through ongoing research
• Manage and oversee the administration linked to corporate fundraising, ensuring information is entered and updated accurately onto the database system.
• Undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.

 Person Specification

Essential

• Knowledge or experience of working in a charity
• Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work on own initiative and to effectively manage and prioritise workload
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Numerate and literate
• Excellent oral communication skills with a high degree of diplomacy, empathy and confidence

Desirable

• Knowledge of Institute of Fundraising codes of practice.
• Fundraising, account management or sales experience in a client-facing environment.

Join our team as a Senior Campaigns Adviser (Digital) and lead the production of our campaigning communications and actions, with particular focus on impactful digital campaigns. You'll be at the forefront of driving positive change for people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) by helping our supporters to influence politicians and decision makers.

In this role, you will work with the National Campaigns Manager to plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate our digital campaigns across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Your innovative approach will help grow our base of digital supporters and create engaging online and offline campaigning tools.

Working closely with our Policy and Campaigns team, you'll ensure our campaigns are backed by solid evidence and clear policy objectives. You will manage our social media channels, creating original content that resonates with our audience, and ensuring our campaigns are consistently engaging and effective.

Collaboration is key in this role as you will work with various teams within the organisation.

What are we looking for?

A dedicated professional with a good understanding of health, social services, and welfare. You will have a good understanding of political decision-making processes at both national and local levels.

With experience in a campaigns environment in the third or public sector, you will have a proven track record in developing, planning, and delivering successful campaigns, with expertise in creating campaign materials and using e-campaigning software like Engaging Networks.

As a successful candidate, you will be outcome-focused, with strong reporting and negotiating skills. You should be able to manage your workload effectively and demonstrate good IT skills including experience with Microsoft Office.

A willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends, is required. Regular travel within the UK, including overnight stays, is also necessary.

Are you our new Global Selection Programme Intern? 

We are looking for an intern to join the Global Selection Programme (GSP) team on a fixed term three month contract. As the Global Selection Programme Intern, you will be line managed by the GSP Coordinator to help you integrate and collaborate with the Programmes Team and with other key stakeholders. The post holder will play an important role in driving improvements to one of UWC’s key application programmes as it prepares for the 2025/26 academic year. 

You will bring your communication and relationship building skills to the fore to help us build and strengthen our relationship with volunteers and stakeholders from across the movement. You will work as part of a well-established Programmes Team and develop skills and experience in the student admissions process, customer service and stakeholder management.

About UWC International 

The UWC International Office serves as the operational arm of UWC International, a UK-registered and Germany-registered charity, and stands as a pivotal entity within the UWC movement. Positioned in central London and Berlin, it collaborates extensively with stakeholders across the UWC spectrum, actively engages a robust alumni community comprising more than 60,000 members, and fulfils essential functions for UWC International's governance bodies. Our primary duties encompass global fundraising initiatives, comprehensive communications strategies, promotional endeavours, support for the network of over 150 UWC national committees, global strategy development and implementation, and support services to the UWC schools.

The UWCIO Programmes team works with UWC schools and colleges and with national committees to enable as many deserving young people as possible to experience a UWC education, collaborating closely with them to build their capacity where necessary and implement new processes, policies and programmes where possible. 

The Global Selection Programme is available to young people aged 15 to 18 from around the world, so long as they do not require any financial support to attend UWC. It is an annual programme that usually accepts applications from September to May for admission in the following academic year. Fifteen of UWC’s eighteen schools and colleges currently participate in the programme.

About the role

We are looking for someone with experience in facilities and contract management, and the drive and desire to find solutions and complete projects to a high standard. You’ll need to be highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to multi task. You must be a compelling advocate for the work of the Trust.

This role manages the Trust’s office facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean and support a positive working environment for staff and volunteers. The post holder will manage contracts, striving to secure competitive prices, support with IT alongside the Trust's IT service provider, and identify and coordinate improvements to the Trust buildings. This role also manages the Business Support Officer.

The Facilities Manager role is for a 10 month fixed-term maternity cover with the possibility of an extension. We would consider between 30-37.5 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days. Other options may be considered for the right candidate.

Safeguarding

• Act as the Deputy Deputy Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
• Collaborate with the Safeguarding Lead to review, update, and develop safeguarding policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
• Support the dissemination and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures throughout the mentoring programme.
• Provide support and guidance to staff, volunteers, and stakeholders on safeguarding-related matters, including responding to queries, concerns, and disclosures in a timely and appropriate manner.

Community Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with our community organisations, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resource-sharing for youth development efforts.

The Volunteering & Recruitment Co-ordinator will be a valuable member of the HR & Operations Team at Richmond Borough Mind. We are a diverse and well-established charity with a workforce of approximately 60 staff and 140 volunteers, and our team deliver a broad range of mental health support services for the community including Counselling, Peer Group Activities, Mental Health Training and Crisis Support. We are looking for a motivated and experienced co-ordinator to help us nurture our growing base of talented staff and volunteers. 

A natural people-person, you'll be a confident communicator with a proven instinct for matching candidates to careers, vocational pathways and volunteer placements. Experience working in the non-profit sector and knowledge of volunteering will be an asset.

A background in volunteer co-ordination and administration within a charity, HR or equivalent experience is essential. A knowledge of employment law, equality, diversity and inclusion, and best practice in HR will also be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and time management abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You'll also be confident working with a range of IT platforms including SharePoint, online meeting platforms, cloud-based database systems, online advertising portals and desktop publishing software.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Edinburgh. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home or other suitable community venue and be home based for telephone for administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

This is a full-time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.

About you

Our client has a new opportunity for a HR Advisor to join it’s supportive, values driven and dynamic environment – this is an exciting time in the evolution of their Charity.

They are looking for an experienced HR Advisor who will support the Charity by developing and strengthening their people processes throughout the lifecycle of the employee journey – if you’re looking for a new challenge in an environment where you will be helping to develop and embed HR practices then they want to hear from you.

The Opportunity:

This is a standalone role and is the first port of call for all HR and payroll queries at the Charity. You will be responsible for providing a robust, comprehensive and proactive HR service across the whole organisation.

The focus will be on developing and strengthening the Charity’s people processes. You will deal with the coordination and delivery of recruitment, learning and development, the updating and communication of HR policies, guidance to line managers on employee relations matters and HR administration support to staff.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• To be the Charity’s link with its outsourced payroll service and act as system administrator for HR and payroll software. Providing advice to staff on self-service use, ensuring the HR system utilisation is maximised by the Charity.
• Manage the day-to-day HR administration at all stages of the employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding to leavers.
• Co-ordinate and manage the recruitment process – including overseeing the selection process and attending interviews as the Charity’s inclusive panel member to reduce bias and ensure equality of opportunity.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding and induction process.
• Ensure HR policies meet legal requirements.
• Oversight of attendance and leave arrangements, ensuring all absence is properly authorised and processed accurately.
• Provide advice on managing sickness absence and on family leave (maternity, paternity, etc.), as required.
• Respond to employee relations queries from individuals and managers, seeking external HR expertise.
• Deal with payroll queries and liaising with the outsourced payroll provider, providing monthly information relating to absence, leavers, starters, deductions etc.

Who are they looking for:

You will have achieved or near completion of your Level 3 CIPD or equivalent qualification and be planning to progress to Level 5.

You will have experience of:

• Working as a HR administrator and developing HR admin processes
• Working as a HR Advisor – dealing with recruitment and selection, working with HR policies and providing advice to line managers
• Ideally you will have developed and implemented new HR policies and initiatives and have experience of providing employment law advice and guidance but if not, they will help you to build your skills in these areas.
• You’ll have strong interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser or a candidate with transferrable skills who is looking for their next challenge.

This fundraising role is varied and fun and may suit someone who has worked in fundraising for a few years and understands the diverse range of responsibilities that come with the role. You should be able to work well in a small team and be prepared to adapt cheerfully to changes and challenges that may crop up daily.

Your main area of responsibility will be for generating income by writing proposals to Trust and Foundations, working with service managers across the country to research and build compelling cases for support across the organisation.

We are looking for someone who can secure multi-year grants and core funding support through creating high value applications and also have the skills to research and fire off multiple applications to smaller trusts for small projects on a daily basis.

Experience in meeting fundraising targets would be useful but not essential.  An important aspect of the role will be maintaining up to date reporting systems of approaches and successes and fulfilling grant obligations to funders.

As part of a small fundraising team and you will also work with your colleagues to further develop the Walk for Autism fundraising campaign and be instrumental in developing a high quality supporter journey using email, texts and social media.  Developing digital fundraising is one of our main strategies so a willingness to learn new skills in this area is a key part of the role.

You will be required to work outside of office hours occasionally with some travel to services around the UK.  It would be helpful to have a driving licence but it’s not essential.  This position is subject to a Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) that will be met by Autism Initiatives.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian recovery centre for men wanting to overcome their addiction problems. We have created this new part-time position to provide consistent and professional HR support to the organisation, bringing together various roles currently undertaken by a few different staff members.

The role will suit someone who can work under their own initiative (after training in our charity practices), experienced in overseeing the employee journey from recruitment and retention to departure. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, and ensure that the charity is compliant with all relevant legislation. The Access & Participation Project Coordinator is a brand new, exciting role designed to support LSESU’s work around access and participation.
 

The successful candidate will play a lead role in identifying areas where there is a need/opportunity for targeted interventions to support the experiences of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, before putting then translating these into evidence-based proposals.
 

The Access & Participation Project Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering these programmes, as well as for reporting back on them and proactively seeking ways of driving continuous improvement.
 

The role will also oversee the delivery of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Mentoring Scheme. This landmark programme, that was last year nominated at the National Diversity Awards, pairs students from ethnic minority backgrounds with LSE alumni, who provide the former with mentoring and support during their studies.
 

The successful person will be responsible for reviewing the programme and seeking to build upon its fledgling success to ensure it is bigger, better and more impactful than ever.
 

This role will also involve close working with stakeholders at LSE, especially those working on the delivery of LSE’s Access & Participation Plan (APP).
 

You would be joining a fantastic and friendly Advice Team, consisting of the Advice Caseworker and Advice Manager, that sits within the wider Student Voice Department, and which together oversees all of the Union’s advice, policy, democratic, campaigning and representation work.
