Background
The post is a new role that will support the Head of Fundraising in raising income for the charity. You will assist in developing our fundraising strategy to ensure the charity can deliver its ambitious plans. To be successful, you will be a quick learner, with some experience of fundraising and stewardship of donors and an entrepreneurial attitude. You will need to keep abreast of current fundraising trends across the heritage sector and keep in touch with the charitable sector more generally.
Together with the Head of Fundraising, you will focus on building one-to-one relationships with high-net-worth individuals, legators and prospects who have the ability to give significant donations to increase the overall income of the charity. Income from legacies forms an important income stream for the charity, and the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for all aspects of our legacy marketing, to include advertising, promoting legacy giving and the cultivation of legacy pledgers.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to help deliver the charity’s fundraising and engagement plans. You will oversee the development and marketing of our corporate income stream, the Specialist Skills Directory, and foster relationships with corporate supporters when required. Role Outline
The Head of Fundraising will be instrumental in the instigation, implementation and completion of the Trust’s long term funding strategy. This important role leads on the Trust’s approach to individual giving, legacies, campaigns and community fundraising. The role plays an important part in raising vital unrestricted income and will act as the connection point with our loyal supporters. The role will lead and develop a fundraising team, working closely with the Community and Heritage team and volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with demonstrable experience at a senior level, with strong communication and relationship building skills.
This is a full-time position on a temporary contract for an initial period of three years, with potential to become a permanent position. Wicksteed Park operates a 40-hour working week, primarily based onsite. Consideration will be given to requests for flexible working.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
• Lead the development of the legacy programme, creating a strategic plan that considers audiences, products and channels and which is aligned to MAP’s fundraising strategy.
• Monitor and analyse trends within legacy giving, both internally and externally, using these findings to influence the direction of the programme.
• Manage and support the Legacy Marketing Officer (fixed term) and liaise with MAP’s legacy administration consultant to ensure excellence in both legacy marketing and administration. Assess resources and develop business plans to support team changes as and when relevant.

The Individual Giving department is part of the Fundraising and Marketing directorate and brings in approximately £88m per annum through regular giving, one off gifts, prize-led fundraising, community and events and legacy and in memory. What you need to know:
As the role is primarily customer-facing, the SRO is based at the rehoming centre. However, they spend a portion of their time in local communities. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications, the Head of Alumni Engagement and Development will collaborate closely with various school departments to elevate the school’s profile and optimise income generation. The focus will be on relationship management with key high-value donors and promoting a culture of philanthropy. Additionally, the role will drive support for Ackworth School capital projects and cultivate a culture of donor care that motivates current and potential supporters.
Ackworth School, a co-educational boarding and day school, was founded in 1779 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). It maintains its ethos and traditions and is still governed by the Society. The school is academically non-selective and provides an excellent range of facilities and extra-curricular opportunities, recently achieving "Excellent" in the FCI/EQI (February 2023). The Head is a member of both HMC and the Society of Heads.

The successful candidate will be able to:
·Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications to create a fundraising strategy centred on capital projects and bursaries.
·Lead personal engagement fundraising, developing strategies for securing principal and major donors.
·Meet annual personal income targets, increasing both donor numbers and regular giving income.
·Monitor and report on fundraising income, events, and activities, including producing financial reports.
·Design and manage a program of events aimed at engaging Ackworth School Old Scholars and wider Ackworth School community members.
·Develop robust data sets to inform strategic goals, particularly those related to income generation and maintain detailed records of Old Scholars and donors, building comprehensive individual profiles in the contact database.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.
As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.
Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.
Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.
