We have a fantastic opportunity for a Rehousing Support Officer to join our team, working closely with our customers across the South West in Devon, Dorset and Bristol.

With offices in Bristol, Exeter and Blandford, we can be flexible on your base location. You'll share your time between the office, home or one of our scheme offices in the region. There will be a requirement for some travel across Devon, Dorset and Bristol.

The starting salary will be £29,000 to £34,000 depending on your experience.

The Role:

Our Rehousing Support Officers work with customers when they have to move out of their homes. This could be due to redevelopment or the disposal of the property as part of our strategic asset management plan.

As a Rehousing Support Officer, you'll own and build the relationship with your customers, working with them from the point of notification through to helping them move to a permanent new home. You'll make sure the move is done in the best way possible and within the appropriate timelines.

Experience within a housing role is desirable but not essential.

There will be some travel involved so you'll need a full driving licence and access to your own transport.

This is a new role and a chance to make a big difference to the number of people we can reach in the local area affected by domestic and sexual abuse. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in researching and writing compelling funding applications and managing relationships with funders, but who also has experience of working with corporate partners of all sizes. In an ideal world we are looking for someone to cover both equally but please don’t be put off by the job description if you have more experience in one area than the other - for us willingness to learn and transferrable skills count for a lot.

An average week might involve finding new local businesses to approach, working with internal teams to research and write grant applications, meeting with funders or corporate partners, pitching to a potential new corporate partner or going to speak to their employees about their fundraising. It might be representing the charity at a corporate fundraiser or a networking event. There will also likely be a Capital Appeal, so any experience in running appeals will stand you in good stead. As you would expect working for a local charity no two days are the same and we all ‘muck in’ – which is part of what will make working for Yellow Door so enjoyable.

Responsibilities will include:

- Identify and research new Trust, Grant, Foundation, and Corporate funding opportunities for both restricted and unrestricted Yellow Door projects.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential funding opportunities.
- Plan, prepare, and write compelling and persuasive proposals, applications, and presentations for funding and new partnerships.
- Manage relationships with existing and prospective partners across Companies, Trusts, and Foundations.
- Establish effective relationships with new Companies, Trusts, Foundations, and other funding bodies to secure long-term funding and support.
- Achieve income targets that support the delivery of the service and fundraising goals.
- Collaborate with the Volunteering and Involvement team to maximise events and outreach opportunities in the local community, providing information about Yellow Door and ways to get involved.

About the role:

The Advice Service Manager is responsible for all advice team operations and developing the Kinship advice pathway.

You’ll manage a team to deliver a consistent, high quality and effective service. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing systems and monitoring service quality and performance.

Continuously improving the service, embracing digital solutions and creating efficiencies and processes to drive performance, you’ll increase our ability to provide more support to kinship carers across England and Wales.

You’ll ensure that kinship carers are able to access the information and advice they need in an accessible and consistent way within a clear operational framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver high quality, targeted and tailored advice to kinship carers in England and Wales.
• Develop a service framework that delivers a consistent service within clear timeframes.
• Set out clear expectations for enquiry response across all channels.

Role Profile

You’ll work in a multifunctional, three person project team alongside a Digital Strategy Manager and Digital Creative Expert. The three of you will cover everything needed to execute your projects, coordinating with our technology team and working with external design capacity to deliver outstanding results for your partners, and renew and grow your partnerships.

The teams are designed to be flexible and nimble, chopping and changing who does what to best meet the needs of the project and the capacity of each team member. However, each role has a set of primary areas of expertise which you’ll typically be in charge of on most projects. As the team’s expert in those areas, it’s your responsibility to make sure your team does them to an exceptional standard, whether you’re delivering them yourself or supporting a team member to cover them on a given project.

As a Digital Strategy Expert, your primary areas of expertise are all things strategy, project management and delivery. Your key role in the team is to make sure the execution of our projects is smooth, efficient and high quality, whether that’s through smart strategic planning, tight project management or insightful data analysis. As well as taking ads management and email and page builds on some projects, you’ll also be called on to support the DCE with copywriting and potentially the DSM with proposal writing.

  • Overseen by the Digital Strategy Manager, you’ll manage projects from conception through to build, coordinating work from both our creative and tech teams

  • Being the key point of contact for our partners on specific project strands, communicating with them via email, ClickUp, Slack and on video calls

  • Develop strategy for the projects on which you lead, work with the DSM as needed to ensure we are always delivering strategic excellence

Abilities and experience you’ll need to have

• 1.5+ years’ experience working in digital campaigning or digital fundraising, with proven experience of delivering results against goals 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions 

• Being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Experience of using digital tools to build and send mass emails, comfort with managing lists 

• Excellent organisation and attention-to-detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep to tight deadlines 

• Knowledge of how to plan and deliver a fair A/B experiment

• Experience of managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to scope

Benefits and location 

Salary: £34,162 if you live inside London, £30,502 (plus £3,000 travel expense allowance) if you live outside London. Under our Employee Ownership Trust model, all team members will also receive an equal share of the profits each year. The amount will depend on how much profit is made.

Contract Term: This is a permanent, full time contract.

Hours: We work a 30-hour 4-day week, from Monday to Thursday. Please note - as this is a full time role, you are not permitted to undertake any additional regular paid work on the Friday. 

Location: You can work remotely from anywhere in the UK or use our office in London Fields, East London. You will need to be able to come to London once or twice a month for in-person meetings, otherwise most of our meetings are held via video conferencing and all our workflow is built to be remote-first.

Oxfam is looking for a Welsh speaking Media and Communications Adviser to create and deliver proactive and reactive media output in Wales. The postholder will primarily generate proactive and reactive coverage in support of Oxfam’s twin Global Challenges, climate justice and action to better value and reward roles disproportionately undertaken by women, as well as Oxfam’s work in fragile and humanitarian contexts.

The postholder will also deliver media work in support of Oxfam’s brand and fundraising objectives. This will require closely aligning media and communications output with Oxfam’s influencing priorities, while maintaining strategic relationships with national and regional media. The postholder will liaise closely with colleagues in Wales, as well as across the UK and globally.

You’ll work with people with lived experience of poverty to raise their voices in a safe, sensitive and effective way, while undertaking effective partnership working and delivering impactful supporter communications, particularly via social media.

Essex Pedal Power allows eligible residents, including adults and children, to apply for a new FREE quality bicycle. The inclusive programme aims to make cycling accessible for everyone providing access to employment, training and educational opportunities or key local services. The project builds on the successful pilot already running in Jaywick and Clacton and is part of a wider roll out in Essex. It will distribute 725 bikes in Colchester throughout 2023-2025 and if successful, will be rolled out to further areas within Essex.

About the Role

Essex Pedal Power is a flagship programme led by Essex County Council and Active Essex to support more people in deprived areas to cycle by removing the main barriers to cycling. This post is part funded by the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) for Essex. You will lead our Essex Pedal Power team in Colchester working collaboratively to maintain an overview of engagement and impact whilst seeking to maximise opportunities for partnership development. We are looking for an individual with experience of positively leading teams to deliver successful outcomes.

You will report directly to the Community Development Manager.

Main Duties

1.Manage the operational delivery and development of the Essex Pedal Power programme with a focus on collaborating with communities and partner organisations in the design and delivery to promote active citizenship and physical activity.

2.Monitor the budget to ensure outcomes are met.

3.Develop and maintain a strong delivery team made up of bike mechanic and project support staff, and a team of volunteers ensuring the team have access to development opportunities and support on a one to one and team basis. 

4.Devise, understand and use asset-based community development approaches to community development and work with your team/communities to understand priorities and co-design initiatives. Ensure that delivery mitigates or removes the barriers to participation.

5.To evaluate impact and outcomes of projects to provide organisational learning and feedback for funders and stakeholders.

6.Lead on the implementation of the delivery plan in collaboration with a wide range of partners, to arrange for logistics of bike allocations and storage.

7.Administer an admin system to manage participant applications, eligibility and queries of those in the community eligible to receive a free bike. 

8.Co-produce the project with the local communities and locally trusted organisations and ensure continuous engagement and communication to ensure that eligible citizens receive a good quality experience.

9.Work closely with Active Essex communications team to undertake effective communication with applicants, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure all communications and marketing aligns with the Essex Pedal Power branding guidelines. 

10.To support the development of informal and formal cycling groups and clubs. Organise ongoing events to bring the recipients of bikes together and build a community cycling culture and togetherness. 

11.Working closely and engage with; volunteers, citizens, partners and staff in joint design and collaborative planning. Ensure that the design and delivery of the project and future initiatives are in line with aspirations of the priority communities. Ensure all volunteers are safeguarded and supported through the use of the TAWS volunteer management system.

12.Co-ordinate frequent cycle training sessions and bike maintenance sessions for bike recipients.

13.Develop a pool of qualified freelance learn to ride instructors and Ride Leaders to deliver local training and led rides.

14.Using innovation to encourage the uptake and increase of cycling. Ensure that the outcomes of the project support collaborative outcomes with citizens and other partners. 

15.Play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation plan, through collecting, analysing and sharing data (quantitative and qualitative) working with the Active Essex Evaluation Researcher for Essex Pedal Power and with TAWS Data & Insight team.

16.Ensure that all health and safety requirements are understood by staff and complied with on a consistent basis; lead and maintain the development of a risk management culture within the team to ensure that innovation and delivery is balanced with citizen safety. 

17.Produce oral and written reports on engagement level, activity delivery and the development of new programmes / projects.

18.Support with recruitment of sessional staff, external instructors and volunteers to resource projects and to develop community capacity and sustainable outcomes.

19.Carry out all other duties as maybe reasonably assigned from time to time and with the level of this Job Description.

Who are we at Neighbourhood Watch?

Neighbourhood Watch is a grassroots charitable movement. It is England and Wales's largest crime prevention voluntary movement and has upwards of 2.3 million household members. Schemes are run by volunteers across England and Wales supported by volunteer Associations and Neighbourhood Watch Network, the national umbrella organisation for the movement.

St Hilda’s East has a 135-year history of combating deprivation and social exclusion in East London. We welcome people of all ages to our large community centre in Shoreditch where we offer a wide range of activities for local people which provide opportunities to enhance wellbeing, learn new skills and meet people of diverse backgrounds. We also run a day centre in Shadwell, with a focus on supporting elders from the Bangladeshi and other communities.

Job Description

Post Title:    Team Leader

Location:  The post will be based primarily at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) Woolwich. However, all Redthread team members must be flexible about supporting other sites when needed. Regular visits to Redthread’s main offices and other projects and activities at various locations across London, the Midlands, and the UK will be required.

Hours:  37.5 hours per week. The nature of Redthread’s work means that regular evening and weekend working is required. You will be required to work shifts to ensure that the team cover from 7:30 am to 9 pm each day between them.

Salary:       £38,424.75 per annum + benefits 

Contract type:     12-month fixed term, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

Purpose of the Post

• Support the Programme Manager to oversee effective and consistent delivery, performance, and quality assurance across the health settings, working with the Director of Services and other leaders to enhance and develop the offer. Including through involving young people in service design and development aligned to the Redthread Youth Participation Strategy.

• Lead Redthread teams delivering services, ensuring that Redthread’s models of intervention are delivered consistently and appropriately to all young people accessing the services.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of partners and agencies, including clinical teams, hospital staff, Redthread’s stakeholders, project partners, and voluntary and statutory agencies working with young people.

• Be part of the team at Redthread, contributing to the development of our programmes and assisting with other projects and activities as required.

Support the charity on all aspect of volunteering within the Trussell Trust and across the food banks network. This position is accountable to assist with the delivery of the volunteering strategy and promoting excellence in best practice alongside celebrating the impact and contribution of volunteers.  

Role responsibilities 

• Coordinate the implementation of volunteer focused systems across the Network (e.g. Assemble and Peakon), facilitating access for all and providing ongoing support as needed 

• Proactively engage with team across the charity to promote and enable a positive culture of volunteer engagement that values the contribution and impact of volunteers

• Coordinate an effective, engaging volunteering programme for the charity’s key corporate partners 

• Develop regular, engaging communications that amplify the voice and impact of volunteers, shared across the charity’s internal and external communication platforms

• Provide expert, specialist support to Trussell Trust staff and the Network on the recruitment and management of volunteers in line with volunteering and EDI best practice through guidance, resources, training and the Helpline

• Line manage a team of volunteers, leading on their development and recognition.

Person Specification 

Technical skills and minimum knowledge: 

• Working with volunteers or as a volunteer 

• Work as part of both linear and matrix teams, both internally and across organisations. 

• Working knowledge of CRM and/or VMS systems. Ability to interrogate database and reporting systems to produce and analyse statistics and reports on volunteer activity. 

• Manage multiple projects, identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities in order to meet agreed objectives.

• An effective communicator, verbally and in writing, able to share complex information in an accessible way to a range of audiences.

• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills when working through challenges or conflict, doing so in a positive and solutions-focused way
