We’re looking for a Stories and Media Manager to join our team

Salary: Circa £40,000

Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

Hours: Full time and permanent.  Working 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am - 7pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

You will be responsible for sourcing relatable human-interest stories about cancer, its treatment and research, and turning them into inspirational case studies which demonstrate our impact and enhance content across our owned and earned communication channels.  You will be an effective, genuine and intuitive storyteller as well as an advocate for our mission.

Your ideas and expertise will drive awareness, engagement and conversion through high-profile PR and stories, in turn promoting the work of Worldwide Cancer Research.

The role and your key responsibilities
 

As a Senior Account Manager, your role is to line manage a regional team of Account Managers to maximise partner engagement and ensure we retain sky-high resubscription rates. You will manage your regional team’s objectives and regularly monitor and report on progress towards this. 

Alongside managing your team, you’ll work with a cohort of partner schools and colleges, facilitating an environment which identifies and promotes best practice across partners within your region. Using data analysis across schools and colleges within your region, you’ll identify trends and opportunities to further increase the use of Unifrog, maximising engagement and resubscription rates.
 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Line manage a regional team of Account Managers to achieve their resubscription and engagement goals, delivering weekly check-ins with each team member to review their progress with partners.

• Run team meetings with your regional Account Management team to review key engagement strategies, objectives and share best practice.

• Meet weekly with the Head of Account Management, reporting on progress with your partners, and the progress of your regional team.

• Analyse regional engagement data to spot trends and work closely with the Head of Account Management to devise and implement strategies to improve on any areas of low engagement.

• Work with Senior Account Managers, Head of Account Management and other Unifrog colleagues, to design and implement projects and processes across the Account Management team, that help deliver against our organisation’s objectives and mission.

• Work with a region of schools and colleges with the responsibility of an Account Manager, providing resources and strategies which maximise staff and student engagement with Unifrog, and identifying and promoting best practice across partner schools.

• Deliver targeted training sessions to staff within our partner schools and colleges via workshops and presentations, delivered remotely or in person.

• Work closely with your regional Area Manager to improve Unifrog engagement and maintain a sky high resubscription rate.

What we’re looking for

About us

We are recruiting for a Legal Clinic Manager (maternity cover) who will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Dickson Poon School of Law’s award-winning clinic, King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’).  The Clinic aims to improve access to justice and educate King’s students by providing free legal advice to members of the public through its Legal Advice Clinic; and working with local and international organisations on research and justice projects.

The Clinic is a busy legal office and learning environment.  Clinic staff work closely and collaboratively with law students (curricular and extracurricular) and a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

About the role

The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’), under the direction of the Clinic Director and Assistant Director. The Legal Clinic Manager has line management responsibility for the Legal Clinic Coordinator and Legal Clinic Administrator.

Daily Clinic activities include supervising students in the processing of potential client enquires across the in-house Legal clinics; suitability and conflict checks with law firm partners; allocation of cases to student advisors and internal and external supervisors; delivery and organisation of the Clinic’s research and justice projects and training program.

The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring the Clinic works smoothly, efficiently and is a positive learning environment and workplace for students and Clinic staff.

The role holder must have excellent organisational, IT, project management, and communication skills.  An ability to relate to and work with a diverse range of students, partner organisations and clients. The position is likely to be of particular interest to a well-organised, proactive individual with experience of working in and managing in a legal environment and/or Higher Education with good academic qualifications. A background in legal practice and/or process improvement work, and demonstrable interest in access to justice is desirable.

The role is a full-time post (1FTE) offered on a 12 months fixed term contract, starting in the first week of July 2025 with the possibility of extension.  The role is based in King’s Legal Clinic (Strand Campus) and will require regular attendance on campus.  Some remote working is possible by prior agreement with the Clinic Director.

Tiyeni is a UK-Malawian NGO whose mission is to end food poverty and to improve water security. We achieve our mission by delivering training and support to smallholder farmers in our innovative form of climate-smart agriculture, Deep Bed Farming (DBF). About the role

You will be responsible for developing and diversifying the base of supporters and achieving fundraising targets. You will help maintain our existing stable income but also develop other income streams, expand our supporter networks, and build our sustainability for the future. The successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners and individual givers. You will develop and deliver successful plans to diversify and optimize our income as well as maintaining and improving the tools, processes, and internal expertise to ensure sustainability. You will explore other forms of fundraising, such as crowdfunding, major donors, and events.

Skills and experience

You will have a proven track record of soliciting, managing, and securing income from diverse income streams. You will have experience of developing successful grant applications and proposals for support to trusts and foundations. You will have digital fundraising fluency such as using social media to build support and run crowdfunding campaigns.

You will be an outstanding written communicator with the ability to absorb and synthesize complex information and translate it into compelling written cases for support. You should have excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to relate to, influence, and persuade internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You should be proactive, positive, and able to work on your own initiative, learn and test creative approaches, and remain resilient in the face of setbacks. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the growing and ambitious Individual Giving team at Alzheimer’s Society.  This role within the Committed Giving team is pivotal to helping us reach our exciting goal of doubling our income by 2030.

You will lead our multi-million-pound regular giving acquisition campaigns across multiple channels, including face-to-face, an important and growing channel for us.  This year, we have significantly increased our investment across regular giving and Lottery acquisition, so working closely with the other Individual Giving manager, you will develop and implement plans to diversify our channel mix, testing new propositions and working closely with our creative and media partners.
You will develop the budget for your campaigns, setting ambitious targets and strategies for future growth, and be encouraged to regularly review and push your campaigns to greater heights, playing an active role in modelling our culture of testing, learning, and innovation.

You will have the opportunity to work with many talented and passionate colleagues.  This includes building close relationships with our agency partners to maximise the effectiveness of our campaigns, working alongside the other Individual Giving manager and Agency manager to ensure we have synergies across our campaigns and working with our Stewardship team to ensure the onward journeys and retention are well planned and focused.

You will have the opportunity to manage at least one officer who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of marketing campaigns. Your role will be to support, challenge and inspire them to succeed – with a real focus on their development.
This role is predominantly home-based, but the team meets in person on average once a month to build relationships and discuss our strategy.  There may also be some occasional in-person meetings with agencies.  We are happy to discuss any preferences around flexible working before or during the application process.

Job Purpose

This role is crucial in ensuring the effective financial management of the college, providing insights to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Role Responsibilities

● Support Head of Finance and Data in preparation of monthly management accounts,

variance analysis, and financial reports for executive leadership team and boards;

● Assist Head of Finance and Data in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans

● Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision-making across the college

● Work closely with budget holders to ensure effective financial control and cost management

Believe: Positive Destinations Project Co-ordinator

Would you like to be involved in this new opportunity to support young people in Swansea develop the skills needed for the world of work?

Believe: Positive Destinations is a 12 week work readiness programme for young people aged 16 to 25.  The programme, part funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, has been developed specifically for young people who have little or no experience of the world of work. It is a holistic programme, it will support them to develop workplace skills, build their aspirations, increase self-confidence as well as providing them with strategies to manage their wellbeing. 

As the Project Co-ordinator you will assist the CSM with the development of this new service. This will include building a network of work placement providers and referral sources. You will be the main contact for placement providers and will provide direct support to participants to ensure they are achieving their potential. You will be responsible for delivering the programme to cohorts of up to 8 participants.

What does the job role involve:

• Promotion of the service at networking events and online.
• Establish a network of appropriate placement providers throughout Swansea and be the main contact for placement supervisors for the duration of the placement.
• Establish links with organisations who will be referring into the service, this will include Education, Leaving Care and NEET services.
• Delivery of a 12 week work readiness programme to cohorts of up to 8 participants including the delivery of Agored Cymru accredited units.
• Supporting young people to achieve their development goals.
• Responsibility for gathering and collating relevant data and contribution to report writing as per the request of the service manager and the commissioner of service.
• Tracking service user progress through the use of outcomes scoring over the duration of the programme and after exit, using a young person centred approach.
• Provide advice and guidance to PW1s in manager's absence.
• Standard service operating hours will be 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4.30pm Friday, however the role requires some flexibility around hours as we support young people around their needs.

In our mission to help change lives and build healthy, resilient communities in Somerset, we are currently recruiting a part time Partnerships Manager (Mental Health). 

Joint funded by Public Health Somerset and Open Mental Health (OMH), the Partnerships Manager will facilitate the Somerset Mental Health Network (SMHN), ensuring that voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) groups who support the mental wellbeing of people across the county have an informed voice.

The Network will also provide opportunities for the sector to unite and work with other agencies in the promotion of mental health, prevention of mental health problems, and delivery of services.

The successful candidate will work closely with our partners in the OMH Alliance to help strengthen community services, influence and support commissioners, and enable systemic and cultural change in mental health provision across Somerset.

Additionally, the post-holder will conduct regular meetings that enhance knowledge and understanding, and provide collaboration opportunities for VCFSE organisations working to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of others.
