Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional based on the East Coast to both drive high-impact new business from corporations and major donors and build our visibility and external communications to support that goal. This is a hybrid role, balancing strategic digital marketing, brand-building and media engagement with income generation, deepening existing relationships with key stakeholders, establishing new partnerships and increasing our visibility.

This is a new position for Street Child, complementing our existing presence on the West Coast. The successful candidate will need to be a strong all-rounder, able to excel in a variety of work areas, although the role will work closely with and be supported by global communications, marketing and corporate fundraising teams, with existing strategies, materials and platforms to leverage and tailor to a US audience.

While this role is not office-based, the successful candidate will be located in or around NYC or DC.

Key Responsibilities:

Major Gift Fundraising (50%)

• Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
• Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
• Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.
• Oversee all corporate engagement activities, including employee giving, volunteering and cause marketing campaigns.
• Develop and deliver corporate events to build relationships with and raise funds from our developing network of US-based corporations.
• Collaborate with corporate partners to enhance their internal communications strategies, driving awareness and engagement among their employees around shared initiatives.
• Craft compelling proposals, pitches and presentations for potential partners.
• Steward relationships successfully to ensure long-term impact and retention.
• Track partnership impact, prepare reports and communicate successes to internal and external stakeholders including funding partners and Street Child’s Board of Directors.
• Identify & cultivate new prospects among individuals and corporations.

Communications & Marketing (50%)

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and digital marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
• Drive digital marketing campaigns across key channels, leveraging analytics to optimize performance.
• Lead content creation efforts, including blogs, case studies, impact stories, newsletters and press releases.
• Build and execute a strategy for growing Street Child’s share of voice in the sector, engaging with media and industry influencers.
• Work with external web developers to manage and enhance website content, SEO and UX to improve engagement and conversion.
• Monitor trends, conduct competitor analysis, and identify opportunities to position Street Child as a thought leader.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong track record of securing major gifts ($100,000+) from corporations and individuals, including strategic partnerships, sponsorships and events.
• High-level strategic thinking and planning.​
• Experience in a similar role across fundraising and marketing.
• Proven success in driving digital marketing strategies, growing brand awareness, and managing media relations.
• Excellent storytelling skills with experience in content creation, social media management and PR, and media connections.
• Experience using digital tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and publicly present materials.​

The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse.

The role requires one to work on a shift pattern:7.45am to 3.45pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.The team comprises of Therapist, Move on coordinator, Housing Officer, 16 support workers, 2 Team Leaders, One Project Manager. It would be good to have you join this team.

What you'll do:
If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer.
* Support customers to maintain their tenancies.
* Support to budget and prevent rent arrears.

* Carry out weekly health and safety checks.

Key relationships

Internally, the Head of Region works closely with the Director of Operations and other Heads of Region to support consistent operational delivery, and management and development of regional staff. About the role

We’re looking for a qualified Management Accountant with management accounting experience to join our Finance team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate reporting of the charity’s income earned each month and to support in the forecasting of income for inclusion in the annual budgets and regular re-forecasts.

The role holder will provide explanations of variances to budget and/or forecast.

The role holder will work with the Income Operations, Income Generation and Finance teams to ensure processes around income are sufficiently robust to ensure the accurate reporting of income in the monthly management accounts and the minimisation of work to reconcile income received in the bank with income reported in the income statement.

The role holder will play an integral role in the successful implementation of the new finance system. Ensuring that the opportunities the new technology offers are integrated and that stakeholders see a noted difference in the reporting and analysis they receive from Finance.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Work with the two Finance Business Partners and wider Finance team, in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Responsible for ensuring the accurate reporting of income in the monthly management accounts and in the annual report and accounts.
• Work closely with the Income Operations team in particular to ensure income is appropriately recorded in CARE (CRM system) and subsequently in Business Central (the new finance system).
• Preparation of templates used for budgets and forecasts and completion of budgets, as directed by the Finance Business Partner.
• Maintain KPIs each month, flagging trends identified which indicate risks and opportunities to budgets and forecasts to the Finance Business Partner and wider Finance team.
• Modelling of income and income scenarios to support project work and business cases.
• Build strong relationships within Finance and work with colleagues to promote and ensure positive collaboration across departments.

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• CCAB Qualified Accountant
• Experience of management accounting and the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Reviewing and implementing process improvements required to improve the accuracy of monthly reporting.
• Educated to degree level or evidenced equivalent.
• Strong Excel capability and proficient in the use of other Microsoft Office applications.
• A team player with the ability to forge excellent working relationships quickly.
• Ability to prioritise delivery of conflicting priorities and to effectively manage stakeholder expectations around deadlines.

You will provide leadership and stability to the Adult Carers staff team, by line managing, coaching and supporting employees to create a happy, productive work environment. You will work within the Adult Carers team to deliver an engaging, accessible range of peer support groups, social activities and one to one support, working to targets and budget, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.

This role requires you to work collaboratively with carers and professionals to meet carers’ needs and shape the service, building and maintaining strong partnerships to do so. You will support our wider organisational objectives and help out with events, communications and other ad hoc work.

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 25,000 young people since 2001.  We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme.

Our work is growing and we are looking for eight Programme Leads to deliver our programmes on a fixed-term contract, to enable all children and young people, regardless of their needs, to feel that they belong and can prosper.

Our new Programme Leads will work as part of a team to support young people, their families, and school staff to ensure that at-risk pupils make the most of their education and improve their life chances. Work will include 1:1 support and delivery of Power2’s core programmes, including Teens and Toddlers and Power2 Progress. The successful candidates could be based in one school, travel between multiple schools or work in the community.

• Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures.
• To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.

You will need:

• Experience of working with children and young people.

The Role

As our Deputy Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations) you will be responsible for stock control and stock movement between our Donation Centre and Warehouse and organising deliveries for van drivers to take stock to our shops. This should all be done in accordance with all health and safety regulations. The sorting of donations quickly and efficiently is a fundamental part of this role, and it is expected that a significant proportion of working time will be spent doing this.

Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations) you will support the management of the volunteer team; the organisation of the weekly logistics, communication to the retail teams regarding their deliveries, and ensuring that any requests for specific stock or returns are well managed.

Specifically, you will:

• Lead the team of employees and volunteers to quickly and efficiently sort donated stock.
• Be responsible for ensuring that donated stock is stored appropriately and safely.
• Identify if any specific donated stock suits the profile/demographics of specific shops in the retail network and ensure that those items are ringfenced and delivered in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.
• Support the Warehouse Operations Manager (Donations) in managing the daily running of the Donation Centre and warehouse, maintaining policies and procedures.
• Be responsible for planning and administering the weekly logistics, to ensure stock is collected and delivered to the network of shops, and to plan for collections from donors’ homes.
• Support the management of the volunteer rota on a weekly basis to ensure that both the Donation Centre and warehouse are fully operational during opening hours, and minimise lone working.
• Support the management of Donation Centre and warehouse volunteers: This will include recruiting, inducting, managing, motivating, and training to ensure a positive working environment.
• Play an active role as the Duty Manager for the building that you are in, in line with the expectations and requirements of the Business Continuity Plan, and run the site in line with brand standards, and the applicable charity policies and procedures.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal.
• To be ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
• To have experience of managing people and volunteers including recruitment and development.
• To have previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role, ideally within a retail or charity environment.
• To have commercial awareness to help build and drive sales coupled with the determination and motivation to help build and drive our retail distribution network.
• To have knowledge and experience of effective stock rotation and management.
