About the role:
RISE is looking for a new Head of Finance to update our finance systems and transform our finance, risk and treasury management functions to help make the best decisions for our women-led charity.
The Head of Finance is responsible for the strategic and operational management of RISE’s finance, treasury and risk management systems. Working as part of RISE’s leadership team the post holder provides organisational leadership and guidance, ensuring consistent operation of effective budgetary controls and high-quality reporting to the CEO and RISE trustees on all aspects of financial reporting, planning, performance, and risk management. The post holder will work closely with RISE treasurer and other trustees as a member of RISE’s Finance and Risk Subgroup of the Board. They manage a small team delivering central services including payroll and bookkeeping, ensuring that RISE is compliant with our duties as a Company and Charity.
Working in a small team you will help to set the strategic direction of the charity, guiding managers to make good financial decisions and safeguarding the organisation with robust financial and risk management policies and procedures.

Turning tides is our exciting new project working with young people aged 18-25 offering one to one coaching in community based settings. The project delivers bespoke support based on a young persons needs and challenges. We are looking to appoint a wellbeing coach based in Whitby . The ideal candidate will live in Whitby and have a good understanding of the area and its resources.

We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America.
Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.
The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.
Contract, location and salary
The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home. There is the opportunity for international travel in the role.

About the role:
You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet service standards & contractual requirements. You will demonstrate the organisational skills required to manage a demanding & diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators.
You will have excellent communication skills & will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. Summary of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Luminary Limited, an award winning charity supporting women who have experienced multiple disadvantages to achieve independence and employment. The Partnerships & Evaluation Manager plays a key role in helping graduates of our training programme to build confidence and skills and move into work. You will do this by coordinating and expanding opportunities for work experience both with external partners and within Luminary’s social enterprise, Luminary Bakery Ltd. You will lead our mentoring programme, which links volunteers with our graduates to help them for a 6 month mentoring relationship. You will also ensure that we are doing everything we can to help women succeed, through ensuring strong monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement across our activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MENTORING:
- Coordinate the Luminary mentoring scheme – recruiting, pairing & managing volunteer mentors to ensure they offer graduates the best possible support for their first steps towards employment & independence
- Managing issues from graduates or mentors relating to the mentoring programme
- Delivering training sessions to prepare mentors for their role
PARTNERSHIPS:
- Network & broker relationships with suitable external partners to create work placement opportunities for our training programme graduates, overseeing and coordinating these opportunities, and accompanying women to interviews or placements where necessary to help them gain confidence
- Design and create procedures, written agreements & employer checks to solidify partnerships & opportunities, ensuring our graduates are well looked after on placements and safeguards are in place.
- Support delivery of work experience, apprenticeships and paid opportunities in the Luminary Bakery social enterprise by liaising effectively with business team members, Luminary Support Workers and women on the programmes – including delivering relevant sessions and training.
- Coordinate progression opportunities for Luminary women including the Lifelong Learning Fund and other upskilling opportunities post-graduating
- Delivering training sessions and making presentations for Luminary trainees and external partners
LINE MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP:
- Line Manage the Women’s Involvement Champion and the Team Assistant
- Play an active role in the charity’s Senior Management Team, contributing to joint decisions, strategy development and supporting other managers to deliver collective impact

MONITORING & EVALUATION:
- Responsible for ensuring that Luminary is tracking and reporting impact effectively, designing creative impact collection methods and ensuring team are inputting in a timely manner, working with expert partners or consultants where needed
- Analyse data, understanding trends & key stats to report on, anticipate and mitigate barriers to Luminary achieving its KPIs
- Lead on creating Luminary’s Impact Report, working with the CEO to design content and messaging, coordinating with colleagues to gather content, and coordinating with photographers and designers to create the finished product
- Support Fundraiser with data to inform grant reports, by pulling data from our existing impact database and coordinating with colleagues to gain supplementary information where needed

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of stakeholders
- A strong motivation and passion to see women succeed in their journey towards independence and employment and a willingness to go over and above to help them do this.
- Experience in coordinating or managing projects
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi task and manage your time independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to vary your communication style depending on the context
- Experience in building or managing corporate partnerships
- Understanding of monitoring, evaluation or impact measurement, ideally in the charity sector
- Knowledge of good practice in managing and supporting volunteers

As a support line Call Handler, you will be a key member of our dedicated team, providing emotional support and a safe environment for callers with a wide range of complex issues.
NAPAC offers full training and hands-on support for call handlers with every call they receive. You will use the knowledge and skills you’ve developed through our training to explore issues relating to childhood abuse and it how it effects adulthood and signpost callers to relevant resources and services that can provide more in-depth support. Calls are caller-led, and you will be there to empower each caller to take back control in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow confidentiality and safeguarding policies
- Provide appropriate signposting to external services in accordance to callers identified needs.
- Ensuring that key record keeping is maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements
- You will have the emotional resilience to be able to support individuals who may be severely distressed, experienced trauma, and people who may be at risk of harm.
- The ability to think on your feet to support callers who may call during panic attacks or flashbacks
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
- Providing email support to individuals.
- Being flexible in your approach to your work in line with changing and growing needs of the support service.
- To be Caller led and be able to keep your own personal boundaries whilst working in your own unique way.
Salary: £26,520 per annum, pro rata, plus pension and an employee benefits package.
Hours: 17.5 per week (0.5 FTE) to be worked flexibly across the week, in person. Remote and hybrid working is not available for this role.
Contract: One year, with possibility of extension subject to funding.

The GMHAN is now looking for a new Network Manager to bring together partners to work to drive action and make a difference. Two years ago, the network restructure and bought in a full-time network manager post, now funded by Greater Manchester Mayors Charity and the Lloyds Foundation.
Since this role was initially bought in, the network structure and funding as strengthened, however we are now looking for someone to play a key role in further developing the GMHAN’s strategic role across the region. This includes facilitating full network events, supporting systems change through our network task groups, driving the work of the coordination group and bringing new partners into the network.
This role will have some involvement in new funding applications for additional roles and will be the line manager for the network’s Lived Experience Co-ordinator post.
While the network has an already established structure, we are looking for someone who has their own ideas about how to mobilise partnership working and will feel confident brining their vision to the network, as well as challenging already established ideas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strengthening the Network

- Representing the GMHAN at external events and in some cases presenting to a range of stakeholders about the structure and purpose of the network.

About the Greater Manchester Homeless Action Network
The Greater Manchester Homeless Action Network (GMHAN) is a cross-sector partnership that brings together everyone across Greater Manchester working to end rough sleeping and prevent homelessness. This includes a range of sectors and specialisms, such as charities, local authorities, housing providers, faith partners and people with lived experience of homelessness. The GMHAN aims to operate using the principles of co-production and community development, placing people with experience of homelessness in the lead.
The work of the GMHAN seeks to add value to local networks and build connections at a GM level. This is done by connecting the many smaller local networks, with local and regional public and private sector bodies, including policy makers and politicians, to influence and design policies and programmes that affect the lives of those experiencing/at risk of experiencing homelessness. We do this through large in person events every 3 months aimed at co-designing Greater Manchester’s homelessness policy and showcasing best practice. Our network events focus on different themes (such as the criminal justice system or youth homelessness) and bring together people passionate about that area to share their experiences and form a collective voice to push for social change.
We also run three task groups- Learn, Lobby & Deliver. The groups are a space for action to happen outside of events, where people from all areas can come together to progress this work and identify areas where the network can influence change. All this work feeds into the GM Homelessness Programme Board, where key decisions are made.
