Age UK Mid Mersey has just been awarded National Lottery funding to develop and deliver evidence-based Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) group programmes for older people experiencing cognitive impairment or who are diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia. MCST is a weekly group programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment. Group members take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.
The programme will be overseen by an MCST Team Leader and delivered by a team of four MCST Facilitators, who will work in delivery pairs, and two carers support workers. One MCST Facilitator pair will deliver 2 group sessions a week in Halton and Warrington and the other pair in St Helens and Knowsley.
We are recruiting four part-time MCST Facilitators who will work in delivery pairs. One pair will deliver group programmes in Halton and Warrington and be based in our Runcorn Office. The other pair will deliver programmes in St Helens and Knowsley and be based at our head office in St Helens.
The facilitators will work closely with the MCST Team Leader to plan and deliver MCST programmes in their two Boroughs. Each programme will run for 12 weeks and will consist of four-hour activity sessions with a shared lunch. Facilitators will adapt the session delivery to meet the needs and specific interests of group participants ensuring the sessions are engaging and meaningful.
Facilitators will also work closely with the carers support workers and ensure that joined up support is provided to participants and their significant others.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.
Full training in MCST will be provided alongside comprehensive induction and role specific training.

Job Purpose
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO to execute the fundraising strategy for Child’s i Foundation, with a focus on driving regular giving, community fundraising, and individual giving initiatives. Additionally, you will support the CEO in cultivating major gifts and managing corporate partnerships.
You will play a key role in providing collaborative support to our emerging fundraising effort in Uganda, particularly with their innovative 'Giving Circle' programme, which is backed by the Ugandan Board. Working closely with the communications team in Uganda, you will help deliver impactful campaigns that raise awareness and inspire donor engagement. In this role, you will also ensure the highest standards in database management and full compliance with data protection regulations.
This role will be UK-based, with occasional team meetings in various locations across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
1. Community Fundraising and Regular Giving:

Develop and execute strategies to increase income from individual donors and community fundraising efforts.

Manage and expand our existing personalised donor stewardship programme, enhancing engagement with regular givers while growing the donor base and building long-term partnership.

Develop and manage a comprehensive fundraising event calendar, incorporating high-impact challenge events, community-driven initiatives, and donor engagement activities to maximise donations and donor retention

Grow regular giving through campaigns, such as the Christmas Appeal and The Big Give, while bringing your own expertise and creative ideas to develop new fundraising initiatives.

2. Corporate Partnerships:

We're looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - it's a great opportunity to develop a plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities to engage people with our work and contribute to our income.

Alzheimer’s Society Local Services teams provide exceptional support, information, advice and guidance for people affected by dementia. As a Regional Manager, you will be home based, leading and inspiring geographically dispersed teams across a large region, whilst working as part of a wider Services Management Team. The areas you will be responsible for are Cheshire, Merseyside, Isle of Man, and Lancashire and South Cumbria. There are several contracts and funded services within the region, delivered by a large team.
Your role will be to provide strong leadership and management of our dementia support services. You will be accountable for the delivery of services that meet internal and external quality requirements. You will work collaboratively to build relationships and engage external stakeholders, including Local Authorities and Health colleagues and Commissioners within an Integrated Care System setting. Influencing for system level changes whilst ensuring strong contract management is a critical part of the role.

Our vision at UnitedGMH is a world where everyone everywhere can access mental health support. We use our expertise in advocacy, financing and campaigning to advance this vision, focussing on rights, health systems, ecosystems, and field building to deliver progress. We are looking for an experienced and creative Director to lead communications for UnitedGMH and the Global Mental Health Action Network (GMHAN).
You will have deep experience of global advocacy communications with the ability to develop and execute communications strategies with stakeholders across government, international organisations, civil society, the private sector, the media, research and academia. You will be confident in developing and implementing an organisational communications strategy, with a strong emphasis on brand, advocacy and digital communications to engage global audiences with UnitedGMH and GMHAN.
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a small central team, manage consultants, and provide communications advice and leadership to colleagues and partners worldwide. You will represent the organisation externally and manage high-level relationships with corporate partners, major health bodies, donors and board members. You will play an active role as a member of the senior management team, contributing to organisation-wide strategies, plans and fundraising.
You are a driven individual able to lead a cohesive and compelling communications approach, which harnesses our brands, profile, content, expertise, networks and channels to best effect.
