Emmaus Oxford is looking for a Charity retail Deputy Store Manager to join our retail management team running our large charity superstore in Cowley Oxford. Emmaus provides housing support and meaning occupation in our social enterprise to up to 28 ex-homeless men and women [known in Emmaus as Companions].  As well as providing retail management the role also involves coaching and training companions and working closely with our team of Progression Workers and Learning & Development Manager. Emmaus collects donations of furniture and household goods from across Oxfordshire and these are sold in our superstore in Cowley and through our online sales business. Proceeds from sales make a major contribution towards our housing & support service. This is a part time role working 22.5 hrs. [3 days] a week and may involve some weekend working and key holding responsibility. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Partnership Manager to join Action Against Hunger UK’s Corporate Partnerships team. VOICES are excited to be seeking our first full time fundraiser to support our growth and development. We are looking for an individual who has relevant sector experience, a good knowledge and understanding of fundraising and a commitment to working in a trauma informed way. As a survivor led organisation, we are looking for someone who shares our ethos and will be proactive in consulting with our Lived Experience Group(s).

You will work closely with the CEO to help secure the long-term future of VOICES, through expanding and diversifying our income generation.

With a good understanding and knowledge of grants and trusts fundraising, you will also help direct our future – with consideration to community fundraising, charity shop and/or social enterprise. Whilst we’ve many ideas about what it might look like, no decisions have yet been made and we’re keen to work collaboratively with our new fundraiser and hear their vision.

At VOICES, we have big ambitions which would cement our role as sector leader in recovery services and ensuring survivors’ voices remain at the heart of policy and practice.

This role will also involve working to help develop VOICES’ name, increasing community awareness of our charity. You will therefore bring with you, knowledge of social media, marketing and communications and/or a willingness to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, oversee and actively lead the implementation of a fundraising strategy which exploits a wide range of fundraising opportunities, maintains diverse and sustainable income streams, and builds the organisation’s voluntary income capacity to meet its aims and objectives.

- Oversee and support the development of fundraising, with consideration to diversifying our income avenues.

- Working closely with the CEO and Finance Assistant, maintain an overview of funding across the organisation and analyse income sources to manage the fundraising strategy, assess progress against targets and contribute towards our financial capacity.

- Absorb the knowledge of the team and consult with them regarding priorities, representation, approach and model.

- Work with the CEO to develop high quality grants and trusts applications (our current main source of income).

- Build on our existing corporate partnerships and establish / develop new corporate partnerships for VOICES.

- Attend Finance Committee meetings and the Board of Trustees, reporting on fundraising and progress against the strategy.

- Help to grow the name of VOICES, through use of relationships, partnerships, marketing and communications.

- Work closely with the Centre Administrator to agree a planned approach to social media.

- Working with the VOICES team, consider the role of volunteers in VOICES – taking management responsibility for any fundraising volunteers.

- In line with our trauma-informed ethos, adopt a trauma-informed approach.

- Work with clients, including the Lived Experience Group, to hear their ideas for fundraising and enable their participation in events / volunteer opportunities where appropriate.

- Develop and maintain relationships with a variety of key stakeholders including Clients, funders (including trusts, companies, major donors), Trustees and volunteers.

- Continuously monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, taking corrective action or enhancing them when necessary

Working Pattern: 30 hours per week (4 weekdays)

The salary, pro rata, is as follows:
For an unqualified advocate: equivalent to a full time post of £23,920 gross, which equates to £19,136 actual gross salary working four days per week.

About the Role

The post holder will support vulnerable patients within the Adult Forensic and Acute Adult Services of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, with scope to work with patients at various stages of their treatment and rehabilitation. Please note that this role requires physical presence at the hospital.  Appointment will be subject to risk assessment. 

The successful, dynamic candidate will have:

• Experience of providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy, or having worked in a related field, to a high standard.  Relevant skills and experience from backgrounds other than Advocacy can be built on.
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals and service-users.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as being adaptable to the needs and abilities of others.
• A working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, relating to both the civil and forensic sections of the Act and other associated legislation. As a minimum, a general understanding is required, with a willingness and an ability to expand on this once in post.

Required experience: Working within Advocacy or a Related Field for at least 1 year 
Desirable experience: Holding the National Advocacy Certificate Qualification

We have been part of the wider Debt Free Advice partnership for over a decade and have success in delivering high quality debt advice to local residents who are facing financial difficulties. The demand for the service in light of the cost of living crisis has increased substantially over recent years and we are looking to expand our team.

We are seeking an experienced debt advice caseworker who has a proven track record in helping and assisting clients facing financial difficulties and providing creative solutions to help alleviate their challenges in a sensitive and supportive role. They will have an awareness of having successfully provided debt advice in a regulated environment. 

The successful candidate would be expected to work a hybrid model of delivery - in an office environment, outreach sessions as well as home based. They would be expected to provide advice via omni-channels such as face to face, telephone and email advice.

Main responsibilities:

To provide over-indebted Londoners with free, face-to-face/telephone advice that is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances. This includes:

● Provide case work covering the full range of debt - Interviewing those that access our service using sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow them to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.

● Researching and exploring options and implications so that those accessing our service can make informed decisions.

 As Director you will be the clinical and safeguarding lead across Bild group and will lead Respond to fulfil its mission of reducing the impact of trauma in the lives of people with learning disabilities, autistic people and their families. You will champion our highly regarded trauma informed advocacy and psychotherapy services and ensure appropriate clinical governance processes are in place. You will also work in collaboration with Bild to continue to develop the Respond branded training and consultation service and develop key stakeholder relationships within the sector, enhancing Responds reputation, encouraging partnership working and supporting the diversification of income generation.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, deliver and monitor the fundraising strategy for the Charity

• Establish a process for active stewardship

 Collaborate closely with parish priests and lay leadership teams to offer fundraising support and implement Planned Giving campaigns. Liaise with parish and central finance teams to monitor the results of these campaigns, devising reports for the Head of Communications and Chief Operating Officer

• Guide and advise parish leadership teams to craft messages and communications that support fundraising and engage donors. As Complex Needs Community Keyworker you will provide one-to-one support to women on Probation living in the community, and women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision. You’ll provide focused support in identifying their needs and empowering them to access appropriate services in the community. You will also provide some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support prior to women being released from prison.

You will manage a caseload of women with complex needs who are facing housing issues and provide them with advice, guidance and support that helps them connect with other support services in the community that can assist them to overcome barriers when securing safe and appropriate housing.

The role involves a significant amount of data recording and updating case management systems so you need to be prepared to spend a minimum of 35% of your working hours on this aspect and will need to manage your time effectively to meet the data management requirements. This is also a predominantly independent role, so you will need to be confident to make decisions and able to manage your own workload.

You will be employed by One Small Thing but will be part of a wider team of Community Keyworkers employed by our partner Advance. You will also have a desk space at Hope Street, Southampton, to facilitate close working with the rest of the Hope Street team.

You will be required to participate in training and team building events with the wider One Small Thing team as well as the Advance team, in Hampshire.

This post requires that you are able to drive and have access to your own vehicle; there may be occasions where you are required to support residents to attend appointments. You will also be required to attend local or county meetings or training.

North Yorkshire Hospice Care (known to its local communities as either Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice or Just ‘B’) has a great opportunity for someone to join their fabulous Fundraising Team as a Relationship Fundraiser. If you are energetic, passionate, and looking to develop a career in fundraising whilst ensuring everyone has access to local hospice care, emotional wellbeing and bereavement support, this role is for you.

This is an excellent opportunity for proactive candidates with experience working within Individual Giving, In Memory or Legacy giving, to work in a growing area of the charity. With a varied workload, as a Relationship Fundraiser you will help secure a crucial source of income for the charity.

The Relationship Fundraiser will cultivate and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as individual donors, to ensure a positive experience for all supporters of North Yorkshire Hospice Care. Each day in this role will be unique, involving activities such as planning upcoming appeals, meeting with recently bereaved families, or promoting the importance of legacy gifts. Job Description

Relationship Fundraiser

1.0 Job Purpose

The Relationship Fundraiser plays a crucial role in supporting the Relationship Manager in advancing North Yorkshire Hospice Care’s mission by assisting in the enhancement and management of relationships with individual donors.

The Relationship Fundraiser will assist in identifying potential donors, understanding their motivations, and contributing to tailored engagement strategies. Through these efforts, the fundraiser will help to ensure donors feel valued and connected to the charity's cause.

This role will primarily focus on growing and maintaining various fundraising avenues, including in memory, regular giving, facilitating legacy gifts or bequests in wills, and singular donations. The role aims to maximise opportunities for donor engagement and individual giving.

2.0 Key Tasks

• In-Memorium Fundraising Support: Assist in implementing sensitive and impactful strategies to encourage donations in memory of loved ones, ensuring memories are honoured and families and friends are supported throughout their giving journey.
• Regular Giving Support: Aid in driving the regular giving program to secure a sustainable income stream. This will involve supporting in creating tailored appeals, managing communications, and contributing to enhancing donor satisfaction and retention through regular updates and engagements.
• General Donations Assistance: Provide support in overseeing the process for general donations, maximising the ease and effectiveness of one-time and ongoing contributions. This may include assisting in campaign management, donor acknowledgment, and contributing to leveraging special events and anniversaries to inspire giving.
• Donor Relationship Support: Help build and maintain strong, personal relationships with donors through consistent, thoughtful communication and recognition strategies. Utilise CRM to track donor interactions, preferences, and history to tailor approaches and increase donor engagement.
• Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with the Relationship Manager and other teams within the charity, such as marketing, events, and volunteer management, to contribute to a cohesive and comprehensive fundraising approach.
• Continuous Improvement Support: Assist in evaluating and refining fundraising strategies and processes to optimize donor engagement, retention, and revenue generation.
• Legacy Giving Ambassador: Act as an ambassador for legacy giving both internally and externally. Work with the Relationship Manager on creating internal awareness materials and promoting legacy giving initiatives to external stakeholders.

KR 1: Strengthening Relationships and Collaborations for Effective Fundraising Materials

SM 1:Successfully coordinate with the Relationship Manager and Marketing team to launch a legacy campaign which aligns with Hospice UK’s national campaign, maximising visibility and impact.

SM 2: Execute general donation and regular giving campaigns as outlined in the work plan, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and achieving the financial year’s budget targets. Collaborate closely with the Relationship Manager and Marketing team to develop compelling messaging and materials for these campaigns.

KR 2: Enhancing In-Memorium (IMO) Fundraising through Community Engagement

SM 1: Strengthen existing relationships and establish new partnerships with funeral directors across the community. Collaborate with them to promote IMO fundraising initiatives and ensure families receive appropriate support and guidance in honouring their loved ones through donations.

SM 2: Foster strong relationships with internal staff members, empowering them to become advocates for IMO and legacy fundraising efforts. Provide training and resources to ensure staff are knowledgeable and confident in promoting these initiatives to donors and supporters, maximising engagement, and support.

About the role

As a charitable organisation, our members are essential to sustaining the future of the Library and achieving our new five-year strategy.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated membership marketer with excellent communication and copywriting skills to help improve member engagement and retention and grow membership at the Library.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will join a small and busy team in the Membership department. You will implement compelling member-facing marketing communications, activities and campaigns across digital and print platforms that engage member audiences and drive retention rates and growth in line with the retention plan and the Library’s strategic goals.

Supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will work with an external producer and colleagues across the organisation to deliver The London Library Magazine three times a year. You will also design, deliver and analyse e-communications using our CRM and email software and identify opportunities to improve communication content and performance, organise member events, meet our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion aims, and act as first port of call for the media and communications function.

About you

Passionate about creating engaging copy for different audiences and channels, you will have a good level of experience with e-communications, e-software, data reporting and CRMs. You will have a background in membership marketing, ideally within an arts/cultural or charity organisation, and experience in implementing marketing retention campaigns to meet set targets. You will also have experience assisting with the delivery of events and be available to work at Library events as needed.

You will have strong writing skills with attention to detail and an ability to identify and produce engaging stories. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills, be organised and plan workload effectively to meet deadlines. You will enjoy working as part of a team while also able to work independently, taking initiative and holding yourself accountable to tasks. The Position

The Director, People Team works closely with Executive Director and the European Senior Leadership Team (ESLT) to lead the European People Team. Living / Environmental Conditions
