Bromley Mental Health Hub forms part of the community transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long-Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

We are looking for a Mental Health Advisor with experience of working within mental health services, including to support prevention, recovery and self-management. Applicants should have experience in completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment, and possess effective skills in communication. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

The role will involve:

Job Description

Generalist HR Support  

• Support with all internal and external HR related queries, escalating when appropriate. 

• Manage the day-to-day HR activity on the employee life cycle across the organisation, including contractual changes, family leave, absence management and learning & development, with the support of our HR Administrator.

• Work with Head of People & Compliance to create and deliver training to staff and line managers 

• Support Head of People & Compliance in employee relations cases, including performance management and other formal processes 

• Be the key contact for all HRIS queries from staff and ensure all employee data is complete and up to date.

Recruitment & Onboarding  

• Coordinate both internal and external recruitment processes, from job postings to job offers, providing a positive candidate experience for all applicants. 

• Manage and deliver the onboarding process for all new staff and volunteers, including pre-employment checks and coordinating the new staff induction and probation processes with our HR Administrator.

Compliance  

• Support the gathering of employee and organisational data, recording and storing personal data consistently and confidentially. 

• Support with the preparation of compliance-related guidance, policy documents and reports. 

• Setting up users on our training platform, allocating training, answering related queries and confirming completion.

Your Job Description 

As a Youth Project Leader, you will: 

• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.

• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.

• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.

• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.

• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.

Purpose of this role

The Junction is an out of hours “calming café” service which is open 365 days of the year to support people experiencing pre and/or mental health crisis. The aim of the project is to alleviate the need for people within the Swindon locality to access A&E and/or acute mental health services.

The Staffordshire Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice Service based at Disability Solutions West Midlands, supports people affected by cancer living in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

Ambition Aspire Achieve was founded in 2016 by Kevin Jenkins OBE, because of a longstanding desire to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people. We deliver a wide range of projects and services based out of our youth hubs, the Terence Brown Arc in the Park in Canning Town and the Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub in Stratford, and across local communities in Newham via a programme of detached outreach work. Starting early, we work with children as young as 5 years old, right up to 25 as young people transition into early adulthood. Reflecting our approach that every young child and person deserves the best chance in life, our work now reaches over 950 children and young people every year, including large numbers who are vulnerable and at-risk.

The Role

The role offers an exciting opportunity to join AAA’s management and coordination team, playing a key part in supporting vulnerable young people to reach their full potential, whilst making a significant contribution to the development of our youth programmes. Recruited on a full-time basis (with part time options considered), responsibilities include:

• Developing, overseeing and delivering youth projects and programmes based out of AAA’s youth hubs, ensuring project milestones, outputs and outcomes are met or exceeded in line with funding agreements.
• Monitoring and evaluating our targeted youth projects and programmes, providing reports to the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees and key funders as required.
• Leading and line managing a small team of youth workers, enabling the delivery of high-quality youth work programmes
• Taking a lead on developing youth voice and involvement and supporting peer leaders.
• Working collaboratively with key partners (e.g., schools, community stakeholders) to support the recruitment of young people and the effective delivery of provision.
• Developing mentoring activities for young people, and supporting the delivery of life-skills and personal development sessions. 
• Assisting young people in identifying progression opportunities and providing on-going transition support.
• Liaising with parents/carers of young people participating in our projects, building strong relationships to support the development of service-users.
• Supporting the development of new youth programmes and promoting AAA’s youth offer via attending local youth forums, networking and funder events.

We are recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker who will be working closely with children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, to provide personal welfare support and ensure that our clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

A key requirement is to provide personal one to one and group support to children and young people to ensure they are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. SCHOOLS BASED ACROSS GREATER MANCHESTER

We require a Counsellor to provide counselling interventions and family support services in schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

The role requires you to liaise and work with parents and families to ensure that the child/young person’s needs are being met and any issues that arise are being addressed appropriately. This will also include providing support and guidance to school staff on these matters.

You must have knowledge of safeguarding guidelines and risk factors in relation to working with children and young people and be able to respond accordingly by following the locality safeguarding procedures and ensure that priority is given to the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures in all work undertaken. You must also support the school staff with safeguarding.

You must have competent IT skills, be confident with systems, complete reports, maintain records and manage confidential data and be able to review and obtain feedback on the support in place for the children and young people and provide this information back to the schools and Caritas Schools’ Service as required.

You must also be able to make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice and approaches and partake in supervision one to one, clinical and group reflective supervision with other counsellors. 

Registered counsellor status with the BACP or UKCP is essential. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview.  The salary includes accrued annual leave.
