As a Recruitment Coordinator, you'll support the wider Recruitment team in providing a first-class recruitment service to both hiring managers and candidates.

Supporting the recruitment for both our retail and office roles, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of the recruitment service including:

About you

With excellent communication skills you'll be able to build strong working relationships with managers from across all areas of the business. You’ll have sound knowledge of recruitment practice and how to implement it in an in-house environment.

You'll have proven experience of working in a customer facing role or a position where you are providing excellent customer service. You’ll also have up-to-date knowledge of recruitment/employment law and an understanding of how it impacts BHF processes and procedures. We are looking for someone collaborative and with excellent attention to detail to join our fast-paced team.

About the role:

You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. The family caseworkers provide in person support to families who have experienced the sudden and traumatic death by Homicide (Murder/Manslaughter/Corporate manslaughter/Gross Negligence manslaughter). The Family Caseworkers also offer specialist support to direct Eyewitnesses of Homicide. They provide a systematic, trauma informed approach to care and undertake a comprehensive needs assessment which will create a bespoke support plan for each person they support. The caseworkers are responsible for ensuring the needs identified are met, that each person being supported receives guidance, advise and practical support as well as emotional support and advocacy. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills essential to managing a diverse workload, and be committed to supporting the caseworkers to deliver support.

Our Young Lives service offers specialised practical, emotional and social support for asylum-seeking and refugee children and young people. The service aims to provide trauma-informed care that can be accessed by families or individual young people.

• Intensive support and link work to help families and young people access other Action Foundation services and external community services.

We are looking for two Youth Workers who are passionate about working with vulnerable children and young people who will work closely with other Youth Workers under the oversight and guidance of the Young Lives Project Manager. The successful candidates will deliver activity sessions, support sessions and do some administrative work. Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

About the role:

The finance assistant is part of the Finance and Resources function and reports to the Head of Finance. The role has responsibility for ensuring all accounts receivable and payable transactions are processed, recorded and completed. Supporting the Head of Finance to ensure the organisation’s finances are accurate, compliant and up to date with responsibility for processing financial transactions. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing reports, ensuring the integrity of the finance system and managing customer accounts. The role also has responsibility for a broad range of financial administrative tasks and works collaboratively with a range of stakeholders providing financial support, advice and solutions.
