You will join a small, friendly team based in London’s famous West End theatre district, responsible for providing support of over £1.5M per year to actors and stage managers. Now, as we begin a new strategic direction, our case for support is more compelling than ever. It is an exciting time to be joining the charity - our new strategy, ‘Acting for Impact’, has a bold ambition to achieve meaningful change for the professional performing arts community - to help more people, in more ways - the Head of Fundraising will be central to achieving that.

This full-time role is based at our office in central London a minimum of three days per week, with some flexible working. We are looking for a Community and Events Fundraiser to join our team. 

Reporting to the Senior Community and Events Fundraiser, you’d be part of a team which raises money from community and events fundraising activities. Proactively managing relationships with individuals and groups within the community is key. Along with focusing on maximising opportunities from existing supporters, the post holder will also work to harness and support new ideas and partnerships to grow this vital income stream.

Fundraising Administration Executive

This is a newly created and pivotal role in The Aspinall Foundation’s small fundraising team. The Fundraising Administration Executive will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the charity’s key adoption fundraising programme and supporting the effective running of the Department as a whole.

The Fundraising Administration Executive will administer The Aspinall Foundation supporter database (Donorfy) including maintaining accurate contact details and contact preferences, in line with GDPR consent, and gift aid eligibility. You will prepare and collect direct debit payments, oversee the import and administration of all new regular givers, accurately record all income, manage supporter communication, administer digital and third-party adoption platforms, and provide ad hoc support with project administration or event facilitation.

What the job involves

We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Events and Community Team. A high performing team who are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.

Our team raises funds through a range of activities including:

· our own events (e.g. March for Men)

· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)

· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)

· Golf Days

· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity

You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience. Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.

This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Facebook Fundraising. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.

You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

You’ll have the drive and determination to provide crucial support to our sector-leading programme of events which generated over £10.3m of gross income in 2022-23. Cruse Bereavement Support is the UK’s leading Bereavement charity. We help people through one of the most painful times of their lives through bereavement support, information and campaigning.

We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic Fundraising Administrator to support our Public Fundraising Team to deliver some ambitious targets.

Overall purpose

This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

You will contribute to the implementation of our communications, engagement and fundraising strategies, ensuring that your work is anchored in our organisational and team strategic goals. You will also be closely involved in team planning, whether it’s inputting into our operational plan or sharing ideas for new campaigns. 

There are opportunities to get hands-on developing and delivering communications and fundraising campaigns to educate and inspire individuals, businesses, and other audiences. The aim of these campaigns is to help remove barriers to employment for refugees and bring about systemic change via our partnerships. Please note, we do not currently run political campaigns.

You will be responsible for creating and delivering day-to-day communications across our owned channels (social media, email newsletters, and some website content). You will also help colleagues create content for earned and paid communications that they’re leading on (press and media, digital marketing, engagement with influencers)

A team player, you will build strong relationships across Breaking Barriers so that you can source and develop content that:

• increases our visibility and influence
• showcases our impact
• inspires members of the public to help refugees build new lives in the UK
• engages and stewards our key audiences, including corporate partners, employees who advocate for refugees, individual donors, volunteers, and people of a refugee background.

You will support the Senior Communications Manager to maintain our strong brand, ensuring that all our content complies with our brand guidelines and is of a high standard.

With a good eye for detail, you will play a key role in our data management, including overseeing data on the storytelling section of our CRM, monitoring communications enquiries, and setting up and running reports. You will become a Salesforce Superuser (full training and support will be provided for this).

The Role

We are looking for a Deputy Cinema Manager to join the existing team at the Chelsea&Westminster Hospital in London, working closely with CW+, the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The roleholder will also be required to provide cover to our other London-based MediCinemas at Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals.

The post-holder will work with the Cinema Manager and the team of nurses and volunteers who support our MediCinema, and will work closely with them, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.

We run 4 regular inpatient screenings each week which includes evenings and weekends. The roleholder will be required to work on a shift pattern to include weekends and evenings each week. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these regular inpatient screenings.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Service Delivery

• Support the Cinema Manager in delivering a programme of screenings each week as agreed according to the operating procedures of a MediCinema, including running and managing screenings on your own. Most screenings are held in the evenings and at weekends so the role requires regular evening and Saturday working.

• On screening days be responsible for:

o Marketing the service through the hospital’s wards, organising collecting and returning patients, and for safety and care in the cinema itself.

o Taking responsibility for health and safety of patients coming to the cinema, and the safety and appearance of the cinema space itself.

o Preparing and operating the digital projection equipment for the screening, ensuring that films are screened to the highest technical standards at all times. Training and ongoing technical support will be provided for this.

o Ensuring that all operational, welfare and safeguarding policies set out by MediCinema are followed accordingly and that, where appropriate, consent forms are obtained for photographic or filmed records.

o Ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with relevant health and safety legislation, and that areas where MediCinema might be in breach of such are dealt with immediately or brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities for rectification.

o Keeping accurate monitoring and operational records, including contacts and database updating as required

• Help the Cinema Manager collate, analyse and report back on agreed metrics and KPI’s

• Assist with arranging and running any special events and special screenings

• When required, arrange and run additional personal screenings for patients unable to attend regular screenings, plus special tailored screenings with particular hospital departments and patient groups.

• Support the development and roll out of any new type of screenings we embark on.

• Support the delivery of our complementary bedside services, such as our Disney ‘Moments that Matter’ work.

Nurse & Volunteer Management

• Help the Cinema Manager build, manage and support the team of nurses and volunteers to assist in the duties outlined above and to ensure that screenings run safely and smoothly – this will include assisting with recruitment and creating monthly rotas.

Marketing and Relationship Management

• Be proactive in marketing the service within the hospital, building key relationships with hospital staff and members of CW+.

• Help develop and manage effective partnerships throughout the hospital and community

• Representing the organisation effectively and compellingly at all times.

• Support the programming and development of the MediCinema as a centre for entertainment, being pro-active in developing a creative programme of sustainable events at each site. This could include fundraising events, live performance and other relevant activities.

Administration and other duties 

• Deputise for the Cinema Manager as and when required.

• Provide holiday or emergency screening cover when required.

• Help manage the collection, loading and returning of films.

• Champion the work of MediCinema within the hospital and cinema environment, as well as confidently and positively representing MediCinema in all interactions and at any meetings and events.

• Contribute to the strategic development of the Chelsea&Westminster MediCinema, operations and MediCinema as a wider organisation

• Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring an inclusive and whole organisation approach

• Undertake other tasks, projects and duties as reasonably required.

Our Area Fundraiser will receive a competitive salary of £26,930 - £33,599 per annum (depending on experience).  In addition, a Car Allowance of £4,920 per annum.

About the Area Fundraiser role:

Reporting to the Fundraising Team Leader, the Area Fundraiser is the link between the Hospices and the local community it serves as well as being the face of the charity.

• You will strive to offer the best experience to our supporters. 
• You will be responsible for event management.
• You will have financial targets set within an agreed expenditure budget.
• You will undertake analytical work to evaluate success of appeals, events and promotions.  These will be delivered through a range of channels, including digital and virtual campaigns, across a variety of fundraising programmes.

As a member of the fundraising team, the Area Fundraiser will also work closely with the engagement, lottery, communications and donations teams to maximise income generation opportunities.

Area Fundraiser Responsibilities

• Proactively raise income from the local community including individuals, friends’ groups, corporates, community groups and schools.
• Initiate and develop innovative fundraising initiatives and events which capture the imagination of our supporters, adding diversity to community, corporate and individual fundraising.
• Engaging with and establishing new and existing relationships within the local community to encourage ongoing support and funds and increase supporter retention.

• The ability to communicate in Welsh would be highly desirable but not essential.
