 We are looking for three Funding Officers to join our team in Wales. These are one permanent, full-time post, one permanent part-time post (0.6 FTE) and one 12-month fixed term contract (open to a conversation on flexible working and job share). We have offices in Cardiff & Newtown. Depending on your location and preference, you are welcome to be based in the office full time, or a combination of home and office working. As a Funding Officer serving one of our three Welsh regions you will:

· Assess requests for funding and manage grants using: local knowledge, best practice, thematic expertise and the experience of customers and stakeholders to improve our grant making and inform our decision making.

· Work closely with people and communities, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.

· You will be responsible for supporting local people and communities in specific areas of Wales.

· Have a strong understanding of our vision.

· Able to adapt your approach to the wishes of the people you are working with.

· You’ll also need to support our stakeholders, helping them to make connections that will help them achieve their goals.

You will be responsible for the pipeline of projects in understanding and responding to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations. Funding Officers will ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker. You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.

Our partner is seeking a Finance Officer to join a close knit finance team, within an impactful international charity working on climate resilience. The role in addition to having a focus on financial processing & accounting, has a significant focus on business partnering and providing support to the overseas teams.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the overseas teams with their finance data inputting, ensuring that these are accurate and complete; monitoring their cashflow, managing funding requests and processing intercompany invoices.
• Reviewing and supporting with processing payroll for the overseas offices.
• Reviewing and analysing their bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintaing budget holder reports.
• Support the team with the internal audit and annual year-end audit processes.
• Support with HR & other administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

• Astute individual, with a degree in or studying towards an accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA, and interested in a career in international charity finance.
• Strong technical background and understanding of double entry bookkeeping and data entry, strong attention to detail.
• Experience in developing systems, working with complex consolidation systems, and on grants financial management is desirable.
• Good numeracy & IT skills.
• Good relationship building and communication skills, able to work effectively with overseas staff with sensitivity, and support them with any queries/issues they have.
• Able to work effectively, prioritising a varied workload.  
• Working knowledge or fluency in French is strongly desirable.

This role is permanent, and is only open to candidates with the RTW in the UK. This role requires the individual to be in the office once a week.

You should also have knowledge and experience of working with a range of external suppliers and volunteers and have a proven ability to build relationships at all levels. Experience of using CRMs systems is also advantageous.

Housing Officer

Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.

You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for two Development Officers to work closely with the Development Director and Development Manager in developing our trusts and foundations and statutory income streams, managing the accounts of existing supporters and generating income through securing new funding relationships. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding proposals, through to successfully managing relationships with funders.

The Programme Officer role is essential to the delivery of high-quality Scholars Programme placements. Each Programme Officer in the team manages a cluster of placements, working with teachers to arrange programme logistics and PhD tutors to deliver their courses in schools. The Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) will work mainly on the post award phase (e.g. active monitoring of funded projects, liaison with our grant holders, supporting our Academy programme initiative and evaluation of the impact of our funded research).

You will have experience working in a fast-paced research environment, whether in academia or research administration/management. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging a diverse range of audiences. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.

The Role
