We are looking for a Regional Development Executive to join our London-based team, The Citizens Foundation (UK). The Regional Development Executive will work closely with the CEO to develop the regional fundraising strategy and ensure it is delivered effectively. He or she will play a pivotal role in developing and managing strong relationships with existing and new supporters, with the aim of increasing TCF-UK’s funding and brand awareness on a regional level. This role is ideal for someone with very strong interpersonal, networking and people management skills, with a proven track record of proactively building and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders.
The Citizens Foundation (UK) is a UK registered charity that supports the education of underprivileged children in Pakistan. It achieves this by raising funds and awareness to support the education programmes of The Citizens Foundation, Pakistan’s leading education charity. Since 1995, TCF has been providing life-changing education through purpose-built schools in the heart of Pakistan’s urban and rural slums. Today, TCF runs “perhaps the largest network of independently run schools in the world” (The Economist). With an all-female faculty, TCF is also the largest private employer of women in Pakistan.

Responsibilities
· Develop and execute an annual development plan and budget, focused on identifying and building new groups of supporters (“chapters”) across cities as per the strategy and priority of TCF-UK.
· Achieve fundraising targets, while adhering to the fundraising budget, and thereby delivering a high rate on investment.
· Develop a programme of fundraising activities and initiatives, with the aim of growing regional income for TCF.
· Research, identify and network with key individuals in groups in the community who will support fundraising events and activities.
· Recruit, manage and support fundraising volunteers and supporters.
· Provide support and guidance to groups and individuals in the community who are fundraising on behalf of TCF.
· Manage and grow the portfolio of existing and potential HNWI’s in the assigned region, ensuring that all donors receive highest possible care.
· Attend, promote and raise funds for TCF-UK at events organised by TCF supporters or other organisations.
· Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders (media agencies, journalists etc.) and leverage these to drive awareness about TCF.
· Ensure all fundraising activities comply with TCF’s guidelines as well as the statutory guidelines.
· Provide timely reports to the CEO and the Board on progress of all fundraising activities.
· Ensure donor, stakeholder and volunteer data is accurately captured and managed in the CRM.
Personal Specifications:
· Bachelors degree
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to connect, network and build relationships.
· Broad understanding of fundraising techniques, volunteer management and major donor fundraising.
· A successful track record of developing and nurturing strategic partnerships and meeting budget and targets.

Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives.
We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.
What we do
Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.
With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded and we all get the support we need.
We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework.

Responsibilities
- Content Creation:
- Drafting and editing engaging content for various channels (website, social media, email, print).
- Creating and updating website content.
- Developing and creating a newsletter to engage an audience of followers.
- Writing and broadcasting external emails.
- Creating templates for ASC-wide use based on brand e.g. PPT templates.
- Stories Database
- Managing a database of case studies that are gathered through ASC case work and through digital channels.
- Social Media Management:
- Managing and monitoring social media channels, responding to enquiries, and engaging with supporters.
- Contributing to the development of social media strategies for specific projects.
- Sharing key messages and calls to action on social media accounts.
- Campaign Support:
- Assisting with the development and execution of marketing campaigns.

- Support the Head of UK to develop and implement a UK public affairs and communications plan to meet the strategic needs of the organisation across climate, nature, corporate accountability, the rule of law, and in partnership with communications, digital and programmes teams.
- Proactively stay abreast of political and media developments and any relevant priority policy developments in the UK and manage reactions to political developments.
- Monitor relevant developments in the UK Parliament, in line with the agreed UK strategy and coordinate and track engagement.

Smoking is the largest preventable cause of death and disease in the UK and accounts for half the difference in life expectancy between the richest and poorest in society. In 2025, the Government will bring in landmark new laws, making the UK the first country in the world to phase out the sale of tobacco to future generations. We are looking for a proactive communicator and storyteller to join our ambitious and supportive team at a critical time to influence the political direction and wider narrative on tobacco and vaping in Westminster, the NHS and local government.
ASH has recently agreed a new five-year strategy and effective and impactful communications is a critical part of achieving our influencing goals. The Communications Lead will be responsible for our digital and social channels, developing compelling content and copy, as well as managing our media presence and working with journalists to secure coverage of our messages, research and reports. There’s no such thing as a typical day: you could be involved in everything from creating a social post to explain the implications of a new policy, advising the team on new content ideas for the website, liaising with a national newspaper to comment on breaking news or managing the design of a key report for policymakers.
About the candidate

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective professional internal and external communications strategies for the Diocese to support the Diocesan Bishop and senior leaders as part of the Mission of the Church. You will lead and manage a small, dedicated communications team of two direct reports: Creative and Digital Communications Officer and Webmaster.
As Communications Manager you will oversee the Diocese’s media relations including proactive engagement with journalists and responding to press inquiries. Produce high-quality written and visual content, including newsletters, social media posts, and annual reports. Manage and enhance the Diocese’s digital presence, including website and intranet development. Support key diocesan campaigns and initiatives to increase engagement and giving. Represent the Diocese at events, with occasional travel across the Diocese including the Channel Islands. Some out-of-hours availability is required and a full clean driving licence and access to own transport. This role ensures consistency and professionalism in all communications, to promote the Diocesan vision of bringing people closer to Jesus Christ through his Church.
The postholder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and senior leadership team to support the Diocesan 10-year Mission Plan, ‘You Will Be My Witnesses.’
This role is based at St. Edmund House, Bishop Crispian Way, Portsmouth, PO1 3QA. Offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £48,000 depending on experience, working 37.5 hours per week. 1. Main Duties
Communications Strategy
- Design, develop, and implement the Diocese’s Communications Strategy which is fully aligned with the Diocese ten-year Mission plan.
- Research and identify appropriate methods and channels including secular and religious media to raise the Diocese’s profile and in turn that of the Catholic church.
- Collaborate with partners, such as the Bishops Conference of England and Wales to help shape and influence public policy aligned with Diocesan objectives.
External Communications
- Proactively identify opportunities for promoting positive news about the work of the diocese and enabling the Diocesan Bishop to contribute to thought leadership and public debate on relevant policies.
- Drafting material appropriate for publication.
- Arranging video to support key diocesan publications such as Bishops Pastoral Letters.
- Build and develop the Diocese’s links with press and media to support strategic objectives.
- Act as the point of contact for sensitive news, advising the Bishop and senior staff about media handling.
- Act as the Diocesan spokesperson when required, providing a positive and supportive representation of the Catholic Church and the Diocese.
- Develop and implement a Crisis Communications Plan, crafting media statements and briefing senior colleagues on media lines to take.
- Organise media training for senior clergy and lay leaders as required.
- Work with Bishops Office to deliver the weekly E-News, being responsible for editorial control and compliance with relevant regulations, e.g. copyright law
- Work with parishes to support our stewardship journey, including developing compelling good news stories about the work of the Catholic Church.
Internal Communications
- Work closely with HR to Oversee and improve the management of internal communications to foster transparency and engagement.
- Take overall responsibility for organising monthly team briefings for the department of Administration and for other ad hoc events involving parish employee’s clergy and volunteers.
- Manage communication channels such as the intranet, regular newsletters, and staff briefings to ensure alignment with Diocesan values and goals.
- Work with Bishops office on key publications such as the annual directory.
Website and Digital Presence
- Oversee the ongoing improvements in the functionality of the Diocesan website, ensuring it is engaging, user-friendly, up to date and supports the Bishop’s vision.
- Introduce interactive and video content to enhance user experience.
- Support parishes in developing and maintaining their local websites.
Support to Key Departments
- Collaborate with key departments to design and implement tailored communication strategies. For example, Safeguarding.
- Provide tools, templates, and guidance to ensure consistent and effective messaging across departments.
- Act as ‘brand champion’, developing, overseeing and implementing brand guidelines to professionalise and standardise all external communications output, whether it emanates from within or outside the Communications department.
- Build and maintain strong positive working relationships across the DSAS and wider Diocese to support the successful delivery of the communications strategy'
Meeting Attendance and Reporting
- Attend meetings of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee and any other meetings required, to provide briefings, regular written reports and seek approvals as needed from the Board of Trustees about Communication related matters.
- Support the work of Multidisciplinary meetings that may be called form time to time to deal with extraordinary events.
- Attend in person meetings in parishes across the Diocese where sensitive matters indicate that an in-person meeting is preferable.

Team Management
- Provide leadership, direction, and line management to the Communications team, ensuring objectives are met.

- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, or equivalent.

About Woman's Trust
Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm. About the role
Woman’s Trust is looking for an interim Senior Communications Consultant to support the delivery of our ambitious organisational strategy, and our goal to ensure more survivors of domestic abuse have access to the mental healthcare they need.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years’ senior media relations experience within the VAWG or mental health sectors. This is essential as we work at the intersection of both policy areas and need someone who understands the unique position that puts us in, in terms of the services we provide and our expertise.
We are looking for someone proactive, with a keen eye for uncovering news stories within an organisation and spotting opportunities to respond to issues in the media or more widely.
Applicants must also be able to demonstrate they have secured recent print and broadcast press coverage and that they have experience supporting vulnerable survivors with media work.
The priorities will be to:
- Generate media coverage using case studies, data, research, spokespeople and in response to the news agenda (newsjacking)
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists
- Support senior staff and domestic abuse survivors with media work and speaking at events
- Review and update our website
- Monitor, manage and engage with communities proactively and reactively across our social media channels, including creating content
- Support the development of a communications strategy to underpin the organisational strategy
- Provide senior communications counsel and advice to the CEO, Chair and Senior Leadership Team
- Work and develop relationships with colleagues across the VAWG and mental health sectors in support of shared communications objectives
- Represent the organisation as and when needed at external events or media events
We’re looking for someone to come and join our friendly and dedicated team based in London for a period of three to four months while we re-assess our requirements internally and recruit for the position permanently.
The consultant will be expected to provide regular updates on progress and will be supported with an induction with team members from across the organisation.

Key Skills:
- Extensive experience pitching and placing impactful stories across mainstream UK broadcast, online and print media.
- Proven relationships with journalists, editors, producers and broadcasters at national, regional and specialist climate and environmental outlets.

Crucially, you already have senior level experience of public relations/press management, ideally gained at a charity/think tank/political party/PR agency or working as a journalist. You have extensive knowledge of different media channels and tactics, and your communication and relationship building skills are second to none. You’re confident influencing and negotiating at all levels – including with external partners, including handling crisis communications with diligence and sensitivity.
When it comes to empowering your line recruits and colleagues to deliver to the highest standard, your approachability and expertise all come to the fore. Finally, while prior knowledge of housing and homelessness isn’t a must have, you’ll need a passion for social justice. Following a 3-month probation period, you will transition to a fixed-term contract. Upon successful completion of this term, you will be offered a permanent employment contract. A minimum salary of £39,695.24 gross (our salary base for people resident in the UK) will apply from the beginning of the probationary period. The salary base may change due to your previous experience related to the position, or your experience in animal advocacy (+3% for each year). About your role
We are a small and ambitious early-stage organisation with two full-time team members. Our current objective: to help the 1 billion chickens raised annually in the UK. By joining us as a campaigner you will be both strategising and spending time on the frontlines, by talking to the biggest companies, producing investigative reports and giving media interviews. Your first task will be to help us convince the UK’s largest food businesses to improve their chicken welfare policies through public and behind-the-scenes advocacy. While this may sound challenging, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a historic change for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Someone has to pick up the fight, and we hope it will be You.

There may also be certain areas where you are stronger than others, and we are open to fitting the role around you. We are looking for a generalist rather than a specialist. - Conduct research – you will spend many hours online gathering information, working with investigators and lawyers, or delivering 50 chicken products to a lab in Germany (we did this too).
- Create engaging content – you will produce emotive graphics and videos for social media, factual reports and data-driven briefings for journalists and politicians.
- Work with the media – you will engage with journalists, write press releases, and give the odd interview.
- Mobilise advocates – you will write emails to our supporters and motivate them to take action with us. You will also organise and run street actions like protests and stunts.

Working closely with the Campaigns and Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing and Content Officer, you will ensure stories and impact case studies are effectively shared across print and digital channels, supporting fundraising and brand awareness.
Main Responsibilities:
Content creation & publications

Research, write, and edit compelling copy for a range of publications, including impact reports, newsletters, magazines, and brochures.

Write engaging press releases and manage media relations.

Work with designers and printers to produce high-quality print materials, ensuring the Southampton Hospitals Charity brand is consistent throughout.

Work with photographers to ensure the charity has an extensive bank of patient and UHS staff photography to use across marketing collateral and communications.
Fundraising & supporter engagement

Develop and manage case studies that showcase the impact of fundraising and donations, including taking photos of projects and interviewing staff and patients where needed.

Develop concepts and promotional collateral for fundraising activity and events (including responsibility for in house design).

Work closely with Campaigns & Marketing Manager to develop key messaging and deliver activity for large scale marketing and fundraising campaigns that help the Charity to meet financial and engagement targets.

Develop and manage case studies that showcase the impact of fundraising and donations.
Internal & external communications

Build relationships with UHS Communications team.

Lead on internal communications, ensuring hospital staff are up-to-date and engaged with charitable activities.
Stakeholder & media engagement

Build relationships with hospital staff to identify potential stories and case studies.

Liaise with journalists and media contacts to secure press coverage.

Work closely with the Digital Marketing and Content Officer to ensure consistency across print and digital content.

Where needed, help manage Digital Marketing and Content Officer responsibilities during periods of annual leave.
Person Specification:
Knowledge & Experience

Experience (or interest in) working within the Charity Sector and an understanding of the principles of the donor pipeline and donor/supporter engagement.

Strong experience in copywriting, editing, and storytelling.

Experience producing print and digital publications, including designing in-house as well as working with third-party designers and suppliers where necessary.

Experience writing press releases and working with the media.

Understanding of audience segmentation and tailored messaging.

Knowledge of fundraising communications and storytelling best practices.

Experience using content management systems (e.g. WordPress).

Familiarity with digital advertising and email marketing platforms (Mailchimp).

Experience using CRM or supporter databases (Beacon preferred).

Line managing our Content and Production Officer to provide high-quality design and content production support across our project work, you will be experienced working across media, socials and in-house channels (e.g. newsletters) to create and respond to opportunities for impact. A skilled storyteller, you will write, edit, coordinate and publish content across multiple channels, ensuring consistent, distinctive tone of voice and strong and clear narrative in the crowded communications spaces we work in.
You will bring keen understanding of the power of brand, including visual identity, to drive impact, and will be confident using data and analytics to inform and improve our communications strategy.
