This role will be to support the perpetrator intervention across Wiltshire.
You will be primarily based in Wiltshire supporting the Domestic Abuse Serial Perpetrator (DASP) project, providing bespoke specialist support to perpetrators of domestic abuse. The post holder will work as part of the IOM team within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure that clients who show abusive behaviour are supported through every stage of the process of change. Evening appointments are necessary for this post in Salisbury and Chippenham.
In addition, you will support the delivery of the CPR (Choosing Positive Relationships) Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme (DVPP), which is an intensive behaviour change programme, designed to increase knowledge and understanding around domestic abuse, the impact on children and healthy relationships. The course teaches tools and strategies to help someone change their behaviour. The CPR group will require weekly evening work in Wiltshire.
The post-holder will be expected to work to Respect standards.
Full training will be available for this role.
Client Based Duties
· Identify and assess the risks and needs of individuals who are abusive in a relationship or other domestic setting, using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
· Develop personalised risk assessments and safety plans for each service user.
· Advocate for individuals who wish to address their abusive behaviour and show motivation for change with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse by:
· Understanding the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to those who are abusive and how your role fits into them.
· Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to individuals, including in relation to drug and alcohol, housing, health and finance.
· Working directly with all key agency partners to address the impact of the abusive behaviour on the safety of high risk victims and ensuring that their safety plans are coordinated
· Support the client to recognise the abusive behaviour and the effect that it has on their families and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation and help them change unhealthy patterns of behaviour.
· Understand multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which may include participation at the MAPPA/MARAC. You will contribute interventions and help design a plan to protect victims and any children, while maintaining an independent role on behalf of your client, keeping the victim and any children’s safety as central to any response.
· Ensure support provided is accessible to clients in terms of location and times
· Be proactive with your line manager in carrying out regular case reviews based on a review of risk and abuse which:
· Feeds back into action planning to further progress, signpost or close cases and;
· Provides feedback to your clients/agencies.
· Help maintain accurate and confidential case management records and databases and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
· Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services works in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

· Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for those who are abusive within a family setting.

About CoramIAC
Coram IAC, is a Voluntary Adoption Agency, which specialises in Intercountry Adoptions. This position is a member of the Leadership Team and will have a pivotal role in leading, developing and managing a range of operational adoptions services, ensuring that they meet the needs of children we are providing services for, including all legal, policies, guidelines, and internal standards. They will play a key role in helping to develop new services and where appropriate will take operational control of these.
About the Role
The Head of Service post holder will take the lead responsibility (under Ofsted registration) as the Adoption Manager of Coram IAC. They will ensure the ongoing delivery of an outstanding VAA that is fully compliant with national minimum standards and regulations; and ensuring high quality adoption support and a sufficient supply of adopters that reflects the diversity of the countries they are adopting from.
Applying to adopt in the UK is open to anyone already in the process with Coram IAC but we do not actively recruit domestic adopters like other VAAs. Approved Intercountry Adopters may however request to change their approval advice to the UK if they are considered a suitable match for children available and waiting for permanence through Adoption in the UK.
Coram IAC predominantly serve prospective adopters from the global majority and as such recruit and train a highly diverse and skilled group of adopters to enable the best outcomes for children whilst also offering adopter and sector diversity for potentially harder to place children. This includes family groups and older children. Our offer to RAAs via our domestic program therefore delivers families for children who often wait the longest in the care system.

As the environment in which we live and work changes, we need to work with the Parkinson’s Community to understand how we can continue to provide the support and activities they require.
Your role will be to work with the community, and the staff colleagues who support them, to develop the local networks so that they are fit for the future. This includes reviewing and refining our policies and framework of governance so that the local networks operate safely, effectively and legally whilst reducing or eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy.
You’ll also create opportunities for our local group network to evolve and develop in transformational ways that protects the Parkinson’s UK values, whilst setting new and exciting opportunities to create local settings for people with Parkinson’s to engage and connect.
What you’ll do:
- Proactively identify key strengths, opportunities, risks and emerging issues and use these to lead on the continued evolution of the local networks to ensure they are fit for the present and the future.
- Lead on the continuous collaborative development and refinement of Parkinson’s UK local group and network policies and procedures with local colleagues and volunteers
- Review and refine our framework of governance so that the local networks operate safely, effectively and legally whilst reducing or eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy
What you’ll bring:
- Experience of planning for and managing change effectively and successful project management with staff colleagues, volunteers and service users
- Collaboration and engagement skills with the ability to work in an inclusive way with staff colleagues, volunteers and service users.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and managing operational activities and raising quality standards
- Proven ability to take a solution focused approach to problem solving
- Skilled communicator at all levels; able to deliver complex messages to a range of audiences effectively and appropriately.
- Experience of working unsupervised to deliver objectives to time and to budget
- Experience of coordinating and leading the monitoring and reporting on activity and impact in an engaging and meaningful way
