As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind the creation and execution of industry-leading  corporate and high value marketing campaigns. Working in close collaboration with BHF’s high-value income teams (Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy), you’ll lead the development and implementation of our partnership and high-value marketing strategies, contributing to our fundraising and mission objectives.

You'll lead a small team and be responsible for the development and delivery of go-to-market initiatives, overseeing the execution of key campaigns with strategic partners and high-value donors, creating marketing collateral, and managing marketing activities in tandem with our supporters.

You’ll cultivate deep relationships with our strategic partners’ marketing teams and collaborate with them to design and deliver initiatives that propel our partnership goals.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have CIM/IDM or similar qualification, you have demonstrable end-to-end experience in developing integrated, multi-channel campaigns, including B2B and B2C. You'll have experience in setting objectives, tracking, and evaluating results and managing budgets. 

You'll also have significant experience in partnership, corporate, or B2B marketing, as well as experience targeting high-net-worth audiences. 

Additionally, you'll have experience of delivering marketing activity through a range of channels and creative formats including the production of TV, radio, outdoor, press and digital formats as well as direct marketing and mail pack production and scheduling Face-to-Face and Telemarketing channels.

With a strong understanding of managing brand campaigns and brand strategy, you’ll have proven project management ability, including working with agencies and a wide variety of teams and stakeholders, and will be a self-motivated, solutions-focused individual.

You’ll have strong influencing and negotiating skills with a sense of diplomacy and empathy and will be a flexible team player who shares knowledge and learning openly and strives to help others. With strong organisational skills, adept at time management and prioritising to meet multiple, competing deadlines, you’ll have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.

About the role

The Senior External Affairs Manager is responsible for overseeing the NHS Confederation’s strategy for how it engages with central government, parliamentarians, political parties and national stakeholders so that the organisation can effectively influence on behalf of its members.

This post will support the expansion of the organisation’s political and cross-Whitehall connections and its public affairs ambitions following the 2024 UK General Election. You will identify and implement innovations to improve our events and other activities, manage relationships with funders who support these programmes and contribute to funding proposals. You will also engage with the wider grants, programmes and policy teams work, connecting in relevant researchers and sharing your expertise in career development support. In addition, all Academy staff are encouraged to take part in cross-team projects, for example in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in our activities and to contribute to initiatives such as staff learning sessions and networking opportunities.

About the Role

As the Financial Controller you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report into the Chief Executive Officer. You will lead a small team and manage the relationship with our existing outsourced finance team, payroll provider and auditors to deliver high quality professional finance services to the charity. You will be responsible for the financial systems and processes and ensuring the quality and timeliness of work delivered.

Galop has gone through a period of rapid growth and you will be continuing the work to align its financial practices to its new operating model. Personally, you will be resilient and driven to develop, implement and improve financial policies. You will be working with the Treasurer and SLT to improve financial management and controls. Your financial analysis and reporting skills will be exceptional and you’ll have the ability to manage people setting clear goals and priorities for your team whilst providing support and challenge where needed.

You will work closely with other teams to establish regular, clear, and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organisation. You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams and will; improve the understanding of charity’s performance; influence decision-making; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities and support options and scenarios planning including funding applications.

Hybrid – this role requires some working days to be in our central London office, and some days working from home.

Salary

Salary scale - £47,369.25 - £54,010.33 (including inner London Weighting of £4,129.42 which is available to staff who live in London and/or work from the Galop office in central London). Dependent on experience and pro-rated for part time roles.
