Manchester Mind has worked with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust for a number of years to deliver roles within Community Mental Health Teams in Manchester.  Social Workers are a vital part of the team and we are advertising for two roles in different teams in Manchester.  The post-holders will work within integrated, multi-disciplinary teams with staff employed both by Manchester Mind and by Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust.

As a Social Worker you are a crucial member of the team. You would be proactively supporting and care coordinating a caseload of people with mental health problems and complex needs.

The full-time role would be based in South Manchester and the part-time role in Central Manchester.

About the Role

The main duties and responsibilities include:

As Strengths and Assets Coach, you will work alongside people who have experienced homelessness to develop their personal Strengths and Assets. You will use and develop a range of coaching and learning skills and techniques to facilitate person centred progression plans, using a psychologically informed approach that leads to positive change. You will work with members to build their confidence and capacity to access wider community resources and become active citizens. You will also develop and deliver a range of engaging formal and informal learning, that is person centred in employability, volunteering, tenancy skills and personal development. 

The role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the development of Strengths and Assets Services at Crisis Skylight Merseyside. This will involve working with partners across a range of sectors to develop learning and participation activities. 

Skills, knowledge, and experience vital to succeeding in this role:

• You will have experience in community education, tenancy skills development, volunteering, training, tenancy sustainment, or group work.

Community Hub Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Community Hub Coordinator to continue the transformation of our service offerings and create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community hub. Job Summary

Through the management of a high performing team you will drive the recruitment of new fundraising volunteers and provide a high standards of supporter stewardship through In Aid Of fundraising, increasing income and long-term commitment and support. You will recruit, retain and manage members of the community fundraising team, geographically dispersed throughout England and ensure the team are providing best practice advice on legal requirements, policies and alignment to the Fundraising regulations.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience of achieving income targets via community fundraising income streams
• A proven track record of growing net income through establishing, developing and nurturing volunteer fundraisers and fundraising groups including senior volunteers
• Experience of developing and implementing new fundraising ideas
• Experience of line management of a community focused and dispersed team
• Experience of managing, prioritising and planning resources against a portfolio of projects/work

About the Role 

• Implementing fundraising plans for identified St John Ambulance fundraising volunteers/groups in order to deliver the community fundraising strategy, key products/campaigns and messages
• Managing all community fundraising supporter relationships to agreed budgets, deadlines and stewardship levels
• Analysing and proactively managing fundraising group development in order to achieve agreed targets
• Work closely with other teams in your area to optimise the impact of engagement in your communities 
• Manage, recruit, induct, training/coaching, retaining and rewarding volunteers in line with the volunteer strategy
• Delivering leads and developing prospects to support the community fundraising strategy
• Monitoring and feeding back intelligence relating to identified St John Ambulance markets and competitors in order to inform future product development

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated DRIVE Case Manager to deliver our Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) programme. You will champion our values across the organisation, fostering a culture of fairness, collaboration, and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

Inter-agency Work:

Embed the Case Manager role into multi-agency domestic abuse responses.
Challenge partner agencies positively, acknowledge best practices, and strive for beneficial changes.
Support professionals in alignment with the DRIVE Project's aims and ethos.
Maintain partnerships with statutory, private, and voluntary agencies.
Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and contribute to evaluations.
Provide a single point of contact for involved professionals.

Case Management:

Manage a caseload of high-risk domestic abuse perpetrators, providing medium to long-term support based on thorough assessment and individual planning.
Contribute to service reviews, attend case management meetings, and clinical supervision.
Take appropriate steps to protect others where imminent risk is identified.

Recording and Administration:

Ensure case files and records are accurate, complete, and GDPR compliant.
Enter required information into the DRIVE project electronic case management system.
Maintain a secure audit trail of all relevant communication.

Direct Work with Service Users:

Proactively engage service users, providing positive behaviour change options.
Use motivational work, relationship building, and therapeutic skills to address abusive behaviour.
Ensure consistent delivery of services, including comprehensive risk assessment and support planning.
Work closely with Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) to support partners, ex-partners, new partners, and family members in managing risk and developing intervention plans.

General:

Stay compliant with relevant legislation, procedures, policies, and professional codes of conduct.
Represent the service at local events, deliver training, and presentations.
Engage in reflective practice, share learning, and commit to regular training.
