We are looking for a Fundraising Manager for a 12 month maternity cover contract, to join a well respected health charity and lead the fundraising team, focusing on developing the Events, Community and Individual Giving income.
This is a Gloucestershire based role with hybrid working in the Stroud office.

The Role
Create and implement successful marketing plans using a range of communication channels to drive fundraising enquiry numbers, conversions and ultimately income.
Manage the fundraising team as a whole, including Senior Fundraising Officers.
Develop the fundraising messaging, including a consistent and compelling case for support.
The Candidate
Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating fundraising activities and events.
Experience of fundraising or marketing campaigns including acquisition and retention campaigns.
Excellent proven leadership skills with experience of managing a large and dynamic hybrid team.
Strong financial planning skills and the ability to manage large and complex budgets.

Overview of Role
Our trauma informed staff specialise in providing nurture and care to children and young people
who are looked after. We work really hard to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of
the children and young people – enabling them to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their
lives.
The children and young people that we care for can demonstrate a wide range of behaviours and
can be very demanding of time, attention, and emotions. A senior residential childcare worker
advocates pro-actively for each young person’s needs, rights and views and ensures that these are
met.
They also make certain that each young person’s individuality, difference and diversity are always
appreciated and that our young people are provided with equal opportunities and are not
discriminated against. Senior residential childcare workers encourage each young person to be
involved in all aspects of their care. This will involve skill development, problem-solving and
assessment of risk, while being mindful of their individual capabilities.
The senior role is to support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in providing the best
quality childcare in a safe and trauma informed care focused environment for young people. When
on shift you will have initial responsibilities for monitoring and supervision of staff and take

welfare and care of the young people.

Teresa House and Hamlets Way are two supported housing accommodations for adults with enduring mental health issues. Both services provide a high level of support to 16 customers on each service. Teresa House is a fast stream service where customers are supported up to two years while Hamlets Way is a slow stream service where customers can expect support for a minimum of two to a maximum of 4 years.
The service is under Look Ahead management since April 2015 and the buildings are owed by Notting Hill Genesis. As a support worker you will play an integral role in developing effective support and risk management plans. You will also support customers with aspects of their day-to-day living including but not excluded to; social and physical activities, medication, benefit entitlements, maintaining living standards, exploring employment, education and training opportunities.

What you'll do:
- To work on a rota based shift pattern which includes working early (8-4pm) and late (2-10pm) shifts 5 days a week.

Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator. The post holder will be responsible for raising revenue and capital funds primarily from trusts, companies and through organising fundraising events to support the work of the Centre. They will also be required to promote the Centre to potential funders, user groups and the public, especially via the Centre’s website and social media channels. About the team
We specialise in emergency homelessness work, intensive support to children and families and people experiencing domestic abuse, and/or multiple disadvantage and have been providing housing advice and support to the people of Sheffield for over 20 years. We take a holistic approach to help people to deal with interrelated issues that can impact their ability to get and keep a home, so they can thrive within the community. These include high intensity support, legal representation, practical DIY assistance and specialist housing, employment training and welfare benefits advice. The clients we help have a range of issues include physical and mental health conditions, drug and alcohol use, income and money management and domestic abuse.
About the role
You will help clients to maintain independence and to thrive, by offering practical assistance, support, advice, advocacy, coaching and encouragement to enable households to resettle and to prevent homelessness. All our Support Workers hold a ‘caseload’ of households and are responsible for developing outcome focused support plans, managing any risks and continually assessing need. Shelter staff are highly knowledgeable and capable and we provide our staff with a range of training opportunities, in subjects such as: housing and homeless legislation; benefits and welfare; safeguarding and risk management.

About you
You will need a relevant background that includes experience of housing, homelessness and welfare benefits law and supporting people who are vulnerable and/or have multiple and complex needs. If you have experience of using case managements systems this is an advantage, but not essential. The role will need you to visit clients in their homes so you will need a valid driving licence and be willing to use your vehicle for work purposes - for which an essential car user allowance will be paid.

Strategy and planning:
Develop and implement vital operational plans in support of fundraising strategies, including creation of bespoke development plans to engage new prospects, and to encourage growth in income from existing corporate partners and Nigerian foundation portfolios. Identify and research new prospects to introduce into pipeline.

Contract Management and Reporting:
Manage funding contracts and grants for agreed Sightsavers' projects to deliver on internal and external reporting requirements:

Work with the Country Director and Board of Sightsavers Nigeria Foundation on income, key performance indicators, prospecting, and account planning.

Develop communication plans to support corporate funding partnerships.

Market understanding:

As the ideal candidate you will posses extensive fundraising experience in Nigeria that has involved high level relationships and high net worth individuals. You will have proven success in cultivating new relationships with prospective supporters/clients and maintaining relationships with existing supporters/clients and have a background in fundraising from corporate/foundation fundraising and/or major individual donors and/or significant experience of working at senior level, in a fundraising, marketing or sales capacity.

The Role

The Salvation Army are partnering with the University of Stirling via the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research to deliver a trial for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). This unique and innovative social care trial will examine the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of a Peer Navigator/peer support intervention for people experiencing homelessness and problems with substance use. We are now looking for a Peer Navigator (lived experience practitioner) within our Homelessness service to deliver a relationship-based intervention to those experiencing drug and alcohol problems and homelessness, providing both practical and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities: The role of Peer Navigator (Lived Experience Practitioner) is fundamental to The Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate. You will also champion excellence in terms of ensuring our clients are central to our services and successful individual outcomes are achieved.
There is a requirement to work flexibly to meet the needs of participants/client, due to the nature of this particular role, including the outreach element. The usual pattern of work will be Monday-Friday with hours between 8am-6pm. However, some working outside these hours may be requested, depending on the needs of the people you will be supporting. Work life balance will be taken into consideration and individual needs can be discussed with line managers.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Their own personal (not family related) experience of homelessness and/or problem alcohol/drug use.
- A passion for supporting vulnerable people, with strong previous experience of working successfully in a similar role, and good knowledge of drug and alcohol issues including harm reduction models.
- Genuine compassion and non-judgemental attitude for people in need with challenging lives.
- Knowledge of the main support needs of people experiencing homelessness and other forms of vulnerability, including problem substance use and challenges with the welfare benefit system.
