Summary:
The Director of Endowment Operations role will support the delivery of the objectives of the Endowment team and offers a unique opportunity for an experienced investment professional with vision and ambition. The Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation manages a c. £1bn Endowment under an innovative dual mandate seeking to deliver financial returns and a wider set of objectives (health, societal, environmental) that align with the charity’s mission and values.
This role will support the CIO, managing internal and external stakeholders and advisors and in particular play a pivotal role in the delivery of the workstreams related to the global, multi-asset class portfolio (c. 60% of the portfolio) and related engagement and stewardship activities.
Key responsibilities:
· Support the CIO in every aspect of managing the Endowment – investment portfolio and team.
· Specifically: play a leading role in managing the efficient delivery of Investment team workstreams (securities) that have been agreed with the CIO (and Investment/Funds Committees).
· Play a central role in the development and implementation of the Foundation’s Dual Mandate. Specific focus: Engagement workstreams - support the framing of fund manager interactions and objectives as well as setting priorities for corporate engagement objectives. Reporting – Dual Mandate. Lead on the delivery / articulation of (securities portfolio) KPI’s that can be robustly (economically/efficiently) supported with data and analysis. Lead the reporting workstream [working with Aon and wider team] and ensure the timely delivery of investment reports (financial and dual mandate).
· Take responsibility for tracking and managing internal management information (objectives, KPI’s, budget).
· Take the lead on planning Committee agenda items and preparation of papers.
· Support the learning and development of the investment team (securities).
· Work closely and play a significant role with regards to both internal and external stakeholders: wider Foundation team, Investment Committee, Funds Committee, Trustee Board and external advisors.

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications:

· Experienced leader, and demonstrable track record in leading relationships with external advisors and high-level stakeholder management.
· Essential: solid understanding of the securities/fund industry, investment concepts and strategies, financial markets, investment products, and regulatory frameworks.
· Impact/Social investment experience essential. A good understanding of stewardship/engagement tools and approaches.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. Role Purpose
Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.
In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence across England and Wales. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding out what works and working for change.
Key Responsibilities
YEF is entering a new phase of growing scale and ambition. There is more urgency and scope than ever for us to contribute meaningfully towards preventing violence amongst children and young people. Communicating with, informing and persuading our growing audiences about the vitality of our mission will require being innovative, hands-on and prepared to speak out with humanity and boldness.
The Public Affairs and Communications Team is crucial for effectively communicating and promoting YEF's ideas to a wider audience and driving demand for the evidence about what works to prevent violence amongst children and young people. We can only hope to achieve our mission if those working in our sectors hear from us about what works, trust our research and put our guidance into practice. We need policymakers, politicians and people in charge of services to listen and act, but also youth-workers, police, social workers, headteachers and young people to believe in our movement for change on the ground. We want to continue being a leading voice in the national conversation about preventing violence.
Your job will be essential to this. You will support the Public Affairs and Communications team to communicate our work as thoughtfully, impactfully and creatively as possible through engaging media communications and PR campaigns, video-led social media content and strategic digital marketing.
Your responsibilities will mostly fall under the following three areas:
Digital Marketing, Social Media and Video
- Editing, updating and maintaining content on the website, and collaborating with relevant staff teams to ensure content is up to date.
- Supporting with monthly digital content generation for YEF social media channels, including the planning and creation of short videos and boosting engagement for the YEF podcast.
- Supporting with segmented email marketing and newsletter content.
- Monitoring and evaluating our performance across digital platforms in order to expand the number of unique site visits to key website and social media pages, including the Toolkit, YouTube and LinkedIn.
Communications, Media and PR
- Drafting, managing and distributing stakeholder communications across public affairs and media for new YEF publications and outputs.

- Managing the distribution and development of the case study template and supporting with the successful launch of the grantee storytelling programme.
Team Support and Administration

Role description
Malaria No More UK is looking for a highly motivated Advocacy Officer to join our team and help implement our advocacy strategies. Working to support our UK advocacy team, you will help to cultivate a new generation of malaria champions and push malaria up the political agenda. This role will work on increasing our visibility and the resonance of our case with key stakeholders in the UK, including UK parliamentarians. Securing sustained UK support will be vital to global efforts to accelerate progress towards ending malaria for good within a generation. We are looking for a confident communicator with strong project management skills and a good understanding of the workings of the UK parliament.
Key responsibilities
· Providing project management support for a range of projects relating to our UK advocacy.
· Strategic stakeholder mapping, building and maintaining relationships with UK parliamentarians and keeping contact records in our database updated on a regular basis.

The Young Roots Casework Service aims to improve the life chances of young refugees and asylum seekers and to support them to reach their potential by accessing their rights and entitlements.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Manager to head up the casework team in Brent. It will be a chance to provide advice and guidance, safeguarding oversight, line management and supervise other caseworkers in the team.
The role will support the oversight and delivery of our weekly Advice and Support Hub in Brent (Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm). The role will suit a dynamic, supportive, and enthusiastic manager with a deep understanding of the challenges young refugees and asylum seekers face in London.

About the role
You will be part of Crisis Skylight Croydon’s exceptional Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high quality, non-judgemental and safe service to individuals who approach Crisis Croydon including some of the most excluded, vulnerable people in the borough. The Engagement and Assessment Advisors are the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. You will be providing information about Crisis services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. As well as managing a small caseload.
Crisis uses a case management approach, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend case management meetings as well as reflective practice and full team meetings. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight Croydon’s Progression and Learning Teams.

About the role
The Senior Insights Analyst will be responsible for developing and delivering robust quantitative research approaches to gathering insights from people with arthritis, to drive the charity’s advocacy agenda to deliver evidence-based impact for people with arthritis. Additionally, the role will provide expertise and support for insight generation across the organisation, managing processes for robust quality assurance.
About you
If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of survey design, delivery and analysis in a health-related field.
- Demonstrable experience in leading a survey project from start to finish, including the design and interpretation of surveys to deliver against a specific goal, including the development of outputs to communicate findings.
- Experience in embedding robust quality assurance and data governance processes into analytical projects.

Service Delivery
- To be responsible for developing practice based on a psychologically, trauma and gender informed approach to working with change resistant residents with high levels of trauma, and multiple social exclusion.
