Join our retail team as an Assistant Shop Manager at our Dorking shop and support the Shop Manager to maximise shop profit by achieving budgeted income, controlling shop expenditure in line with the shop's budget, and by recruiting and retaining a motivated team of volunteers. You will support the promotion of sustainable shopping and the shop’s social media to increase audience reach, attract customers, donors and volunteer supporters to deliver the Retail Strategy.
Income generation
- To support the Shop Manager to manage the Retail budget to achieve agreed targets:
- Help maximise shop sales by achieving agreed targets both through donated stock and bought in/new goods. This involves proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, processing stock to agreed amounts and stock planning.
- Achieve Gift Aid sales conversion target through maximising new donor sign up and encouraging repeat donations.
- Achieve the shops additional fundraising activities i.e., Christmas appeal sales targets through involving the shops team.
- Maintain high levels of shop presentation by merchandising and housekeeping to agreed standards as set out in the Shops Operations manual.
- Managing the stock levels of bought in/new goods, to include ordering of more stock as and when necessary.

Administration and compliance
- To ensure adherence to The Children’s Trust policies and procedures, in particular ensuring full compliance of the shops in line with all Health & Safety legislation, Trading Standards, Risk Assessments, Gift Aid, Lottery and all other legal or statutory requirements:
- Assist in controlling shop expenditure through effective cost control of weekly expenses.
- Ensure minimum losses of both stock and cash by following bank and till procedures and safeguarding the property of The Children’s Trust at all times.
- Adhere to all Policies and Procedures including those relating to the compliance with Health and Safety responsibilities, Gift Aid and Lottery.
- Complete all administration to meet the requirements, standard and deadlines for whom this work is produced.
- Embrace the change and development of new technology in the shop, for example The Loop (internal intranet) and Chariot (EPOS till system).
- Timely efficient responses to requests for information including voice and email messages.

Personnel and Training
- To support the Shop Manager to ensure the Shop’s team are recruited, retained and developed:
- Led by the Shop Manager - provides positive, visible and proactive leadership to the Shops team.
- Assist in managing all employees and volunteers within the Shop in accordance with the aims and values of The Children’s Trust.
- Deputise and be accountable for all Shop Manager duties as and when necessary, in their absence due to sickness, holiday or recruitment.

- Attend where appropriate, training courses relevant to the development of the role and Retail Sales meetings if required and cascade information to team as appropriate.

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.
You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team
• Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services

• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area

The Role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the team, working 17.5 hours per week.
Young lives vs Cancer is open to and in support of flexible working. We currently use a hybrid working model. This role falls under the hybrid - variable category. This role is part home, part site based (your contractual base will be both Home and Addenbrooke’s Hospital). You will have the opportunity to work remotely / from home within the parameters of our hybrid working arrangements. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at the interview stage.
The office-based working will be at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, to provide support to children and young people (0-24 years, with a focus on children) diagnosed with cancer and leukaemia, and their families.

The Role:
We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Income Generation to join ELF as a senior leader within our charity. You will be responsible for setting and delivering our fundraising strategy and achieving income targets in line with our objectives. The Person:
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in a fundraising position and driving an income-generation strategy. You will have demonstrable success in securing gifts from a range of donors and in building excellent relationships, with colleagues, donors and beneficiaries. You’ll come with substantial experience in applying for grants from a range of sources and in securing legacy pledges.
The ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of fundraising principles and of the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission guidelines. You’ll be experienced in using fundraising databases and data segmentation to identify and develop prospect lists. Exceptional attention to detail and a good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles are required.
As our Head of Income Generation, you will be highly motivated with the ability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements and adapt to changing situations. You’ll share ELF’s passion in supporting cancer patients and their families.
Experience working in a medical charity would be desirable, but we will consider candidates from a variety of charitable backgrounds. Team leadership experience would be beneficial. A fundraising qualification would be useful, although not essential.
This role can is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. We can be flexible with how the hours sit across the week to fit in with your schedule, however we do ask that the role holder works during core hours and has some flexibility to occasionally attend events and fundraisers outside of working hours. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week based in the Marsh Barton office.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Resettlement Mentor, who will be responsible for offering support for residents with complex needs, who are ready to move on and live independently. You will offer a range of frontline care and support within the service, to support those who require accommodation and community-based support. We assist those facing challenges such as mental illness, substance misuse, homelessness, and offending backgrounds, helping them overcome barriers in their lives. Our goal is to tackle inequalities in access to health, employment, training, and social care.
You will support residents/participants in various ways including encouraging those moving into suitable accommodation, creating personalised support plans which meet their needs and objectives. You will also participate in and encourage residents/participants to participate in events, projects, and outreach including clinics for resident move on's within our clusters, and work flexibly with weekly visits to multiple hubs. Part of this role will also involve completing safeguarding and other referrals from Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) where this role is based, and working closely with the team of Peer Mentors and Support teams.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, some activities and responsibilities may fall outside these hours.

That is why Little Hearts Matter exists. We wrap a blanket of understanding and care around families at every stage of their half a heart journey. We are always here when they need us.
Without donations, Little Hearts Matter would not be able to offer our services, free of charge, to support individuals and families across the UK. We do not receive any government funding for our work. Our fundraising team is essential to raising these vital funds—over £440,000 annually. A better future for seriously ill children starts with you, our Fundraising Manager, within our three-person fundraising team.
In your first three months, you will get to know the charity well and figure out who our current supporters are. You will devise a plan for how you will use your experience to raise money, with a focus on building our challenge and events portfolio. By the end of your first year, you will have put your plan into action, continually improving it as you go. About Little Hearts Matter
Little Hearts Matter (LHM) is a national charity with over 7000 members. We are the only charity in the UK that offers support and information to, and represents the needs of, children and families following a diagnosis of single ventricle heart disease (half a working heart). These congenital cardiac conditions can never be cured, even following repeated surgery, so the children must learn to live within the restrictions that their disability and fears for their future create.
Little Hearts Matter is there from the time parents learn of their child’s condition, through risk-filled treatment into a challenged-filled life at home. LHM is there to support the children, and their families, through their hopes and aspirations and the gradual realisation that they will never have the same life as their peers. Our aims are to:
Alleviate isolation by offering support, friendship and understanding from the time a diagnosis is made, through treatment decisions, hospital care and into life at home, eventually introducing parents and patients to other families who have similar experiences and shared concerns helping them to build a network of support.
Reduce fear by offering patients, parents, siblings, and the extended family a greater opportunity to understand the diagnosis and treatment paths available.
Reduce confusion and a lack of understanding by producing and supplying for free, user focused information that supports and aids understanding from the time of diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home.
Raise a greater awareness within Medical, Educational, Social and Governmental circles of the needs of children, and their families, as they travel through every stage of their lives.
Specific areas of responsibility
Working as part of the fundraising team, the Fundraising Manager will:
- Be responsible for their own portfolio of supporters, maintaining and growing income, regularly forecasting income and expenditure against agreed targets (circa. £200,000+ annually)
- Proactively manage and grow relationships with diverse corporate and community supporters, delivering tailored propositions where appropriate, providing excellent relationship management to maximise their impact and long-term engagement.

About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Halton Advocacy HUB multi-disciplinary team, working 22.5 hours per week.
Based in Halton, for this exciting multi-disciplinary role, we are looking for those with a particular interest in Non-Statutory Advocacy as the role will be based in a secure unit for up to two days a week. This role involves providing general advocacy support to patients in supporting form filling, sourcing general information, signposting and general low-level concerns and safeguarding issues around their care not covered by the IMHA role. The role also covers the NHS Complaints Advocacy in our Warrington HUB (or Halton Hub when required), helping people who need support in making a complaint about their care and treatment under the NHS.
We also require a talented person to undertake the role of the RPR to support individuals detained under the Mental capacity Act on a DoLS when needed.
What we need from you
We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. Although it would be useful to already hold a formal advocacy qualification, if you have not got advocacy qualifications it is not a problem, we will provide the required training.
You will be working from a secure mental health unit for up to two days a week and then the rest of the week will either be working from home so must have access to a stable home broadband service. There will also be an element of the role where you will be out in the community, but not exclusively, in Warrington, Halton, Widnes and Runcorn areas and therefore you must have access to your own transport.
There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours, so flexibility is required.

Purpose of the Job
This role is within our crisis alternative emergency department (ED) service, which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who present at A&E, feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service will work collaboratively with hospital Psychiatric Liaison Team (LPS) to ensure those in crisis are supported by the appropriate team. The service will operate 365 days a year from 5pm-1am across three ED’s in West London.
Staff within the service will triage, assess and provide face-to-face support to anyone who is experiencing mental health crisis. This will be person-centred and will be in various forms of de-escalation support; practical, emotional support, grounding techniques, safety planning, care/action planning etc. Staff within the service will work alongside LPS and escalate if clinical intervention is required. Staff will also actively participate in MDT discussions for frequent attenders and take a key role in initiating and promoting alternative crisis support in the aim of preventing A&E use. Staff in our Safe Space ED service are required to have experience in a mental health clinical setting (such as inpatient, A&E, or other clinical setting) however, they do not need to hold a clinical qualification for this role.
