The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to service users and staff in drug and alcohol, hostel and homeless services, increasing hepatitis C awareness, access to testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C.  

Do you have experience of working in drug services and with volunteers? Have you been affected by hepatitis C or have you supported anyone who has hepatitis C? We are looking for a passionate and skilled peer lead who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working under the guidance of the Peer Programme Manager, this post will continue the development of the project, recruiting and coordinating peers across Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care.  

This post will require extensive travel across the Cardiff & Vale, and it is desirable for the post holder to hold a clean driving license and have their own vehicle for work-related travel.

 This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will also be responsible for cultivating new relationships for the DEC through thorough research, and through the prospect development cycle, to raise money for DEC appeals. In addition to appeal fundraising, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for delivering on a new core cost fundraising strategy, in close partnership with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships.

Demonstrable, transferable trusts and foundations experience and knowledge, (preferably within the humanitarian & charity sector), will hold you in good stead for this exciting new role.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Development: Develop and manage the trusts and foundations portfolio and create compelling proposals for future appeals and core costs income. Showcase new ideas and innovative approaches for growing and developing a pipeline of new prospects. Develop engaging stewardship plans.  

Administrative Compliance: Lead and manage, robust and professional grant management, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, streamlined and accessible. Remain compliant with grant terms and conditions, ensuring you are clearly communicating the unique contours of the DEC model whilst providing comprehensive and inspiring impact reporting.

Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact and collaboration with internal teams to collate a high-quality suite of communication materials and stewardship plans specific to a trust and foundation audience. Proactively reach out and build long-lasting relationships with funders to reach ambitious fundraising targets.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor, measure and evaluate progress against the DEC’s strategic goals and funds raised from trusts and foundations. Prepare regular reports for senior management and trustees on the development, progress and future strategic actions for trusts and foundations at the DEC.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer (maternity cover).

We’re looking for a mid-weight Graphic Designer to work in-house to create artwork for marketing and communications campaigns across a wide range of media, including print, digital, animation, and video. Working under the direction of the Senior Graphic Designer and within the Communications and Engagement team, the Graphic Designer will work across a range of different projects supporting the priorities of the charity.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.STEP is open to all refugees, and people seeking asylum with the right to work.

Our strategy over the next 12 months is to refine and strengthen our programmes, with a focus on excellence, innovation and sustainability across STEP.  Central to these efforts is adopting ‘Lean Impact’ principles across our organisation and ways of working, with the support of Spring Impact. The starting point of this work is the planning and pilot of STEP Online, an intensive version of STEP to fast track those who are highly skilled. We plan to explore, test and plan for this programme in consultancy with Spring Impact, leveraging their Lean Impact Methodology.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading this piece of work with two main objectives:

1. Explore, test and plan for STEP Online. This will involve being the lead implementer of testing minimum viable products, participating in workshops and identified working groups, and co-leading on test coaching sessions and team reflections with Spring Impact.
2. Establish and build internal capacity and development for Lean Impact. This includes supporting a discipline of continuous testing and learning at World Jewish Relief to be able to rapidly trial, refine and scale other models across the organisation on a longer-term basis.

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience developing and implementing innovative and community-centred learning practices, including designing prototypes, data collection, analysis and using a high level of numeracy to make data-driven decisions to build impactful solutions (i.e., Lean Impact, Equity-Centred Design, Human Centred Design).
• Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to completion, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource management.
• Experience working on projects for people who have experienced forced migration, particularly, in the refugee employment sphere would be desirable.
• Empathy & Emotional Awareness - Ability to hear accurately and understand unspoken, partly expressed thoughts, needs and concerns of others

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.

Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.

By generating the income we need to realise our ambitions, you will help us to be there for even more members of the fire and rescue community.

About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative fundraiser to join our team, full of ideas and a positive attitude. You’ll need excellent business and project planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and adapt your communication style to your audience.

You’ll be responsible for maximising the potential fundraising income from every initiative you support, so you must be able to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and build strong networks.

You’ll also be able to support and inspire our volunteers, ensuring that these vital links between our Charity and the fire and rescue services are happy and fulfilled in their roles.

Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Manager, you’ll be an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

About the role

As Senior Special Events Executive, you will significantly contribute to and drive growth in Crisis’ Events Fundraising portfolio. You will have joint responsibility for ensuring that the team income target (£2.3m in 24/25) is achieved, as well as a personal income target.

As part of this role, you will be helping to roll out and embed Crisis’ special events strategy, developing our relationships and ways of working with key individuals and partners.

About you 

 To be successful in this role you will have: 

• A proven successful track record of planning, delivering, and evaluating special events to achieve a good return on investment 
• Experience in relationship management and stewardship
• Confidence in communicating and collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences 
• Experience in logistical delivery, supplier management, reporting, debrief and evaluation

In 2025 Oxford will open its new home for humanities, the state-of-the-art Stephen A Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. This is an opportunity to join the University’s Humanities Development team as we work to secure philanthropic support for scholarships, academics and the capital project.

We are looking for a new senior fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships and other priorities across the Humanities.  Oxford is the world’s leading university for humanities teaching and research. When it opens, the Schwarzman Centre will bring together seven faculties from the division under one roof for the first time. About the Role:

This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

To Be Successful You’ll Need:

• To be an experienced development professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts and the ability to secure gifts in the range of £100k-£1m+
• Confidence to work with people from a range of backgrounds, both internally and externally
• The ability to think creatively in prospecting, cultivation and stewardship

Salary:
