Crisis House is a community-based crisis service, working to a recovery model with the aim to reduce the amount of A&E and Hospital admissions through evidence-based CBT interventions. We provide a range of intervention support and are partnered with the NHS, working alongside the Home Treatment Team who offer clinical governance. Additionally, we offer a range of services for people with mental ill health to become more connected to their local community, building on their social engagement. We signpost to local services and host awareness days that truly reflect the community we support to break down stigma and discrimination. Offering support 24/7 with a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure, or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.

No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

The facilitator role is a freelance position. We offer flexible hours with delivery taking place during school hours/term time in schools, partner offices or community event spaces.

Safeguarding

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with an independent school based in London to recruit for a Senior Engagement and Events Manager in order to deliver the events and engagement activities for the whole of the school community: pupils, parents and staff.

As a Senior Engagement and Events Manager, you will:

• Deliver on day to day basis a programme of brilliantly executed opportunities, included both virtual and physical events
• Lead on and be first point of contact for Core Events across the School.
• Deliver donor and supporter care event programme
• Lead on day to day volunteer management
• Support in the delivery of a new and innovative global network for the community.
• Line manage of Engagement and Events Manager and interns

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

• A track record of delivering highly sophisticated events and communications programmes
• Experience working in development/ alumni relations or equivalent profession
• Experience in managing budgets
• Experience of donor care management
• Experience of volunteer management; committees, project teams or similar
• Hardworking, driven and flexible and good at dealing with a multi faceted workload.
• An enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Highly accomplished in the area of inter personal skills with a proven track record of building trusted relationships with a wide variety of individuals including sophisticated and diverse alumni, parents, benefactors and potential benefactors of all ages and nationalities.
• Knowledge of working with a sophisticated CRM database preferably Raiser’s Edge.
• Strong IT skills: highly proficient with Microsoft Office.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Location: South London, hybrid working , 1 day from home during school time, 2 days from home during half terms.

About the Role

The Supported Lodgings Coordinator role is a busy and varied one. You will be responsible for ensuring all young people referred to the service, are assessed, supported and placed effectively with their hosts. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and management of hosts, as well as promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly.

Cheshire West Supported Lodgings service works in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council across the borough; so you will be responsible for the effective delivery and development of the scheme.

Your work will be underpinned by Depaul’s Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of this is to ensure that every young person leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of the Deputy Supported Lodgings Manager and the Greater Manchester Prevention Team you will be responsible for young people needing longer-term placements, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all hosts and staff at the service.

Key responsibilities include:

· To be the first point of contact for young people and referral partners wanting to access the Supported Lodgings service.

· You will lead the assessment of needs and risk, predominantly focused on suitable risk management plans for the safeguarding, matching and placement of young Care Leavers in the homes of hosts

· Arrange all aspects of a young person’s stay with a host, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported, taking into account the support needs of individuals.

· You will have responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for young people and hosts through regular checks and reporting.

· To work with young people, hosts and other agencies, to prepare them for independent living and access longer-term, appropriate accommodation using support plans.

· You will be part of a team responsible for a 24-hour on-call service

· You will recruit, vet and train hosts both formally and informally ensuring that the host recruitment policies and procedures are implemented.

· You will be responsible for carrying out regular checks on host accommodation and assisting them to make necessary changes.

· You will proactively work in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council statutory teams and multiple agencies, to support the wellbeing and ongoing housing needs of young Care Leavers, working in accordance with safeguarding, data protection and information sharing protocols.

· You will lead on the active promotion and selling of the Supported Lodgings service to all potential hosts and referral partners, across the voluntary/statutory sectors and within the wider local community.

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Experience and an understanding of working with Care Leavers, young people experiencing homelessness, unaccompanied asylum seekers or people in crisis

· Experience in supporting young people with their support needs, working closely with other key professionals.

· Experience in writing, implementing and evaluating risk assessments

· Experience in supervising or supporting hosts or staff

· An understanding and commitment to working in an assets-based way

· Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures and follow them through to the conclusion

· High-level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain them

· Effective collaborative working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to effectively reflect on own practices for ongoing learning and development

This role is about shaping and growing corporate fundraising income and so priorities may change and there could be juggling of priorities, so it’s important that this is an environment that you have experienced before and can thrive in.
