JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a confident communicator for the permanent role of Communications Coordinator, within our Communications team. 

Reporting to the Senior PR Manager, the Communications Coordinator is a key member of the team, providing support across all the charity’s communications activity. 

The Communications Coordinator provides key support such as content research and creation, and assisting with PR campaigns, events and digital communications (social media and website). They also provide key administrative support for the Communications area, to help deliver reporting, tracking and compliance.

The individual will have the opportunity to gain experience across multiple communications, awareness raising and fundraising activities, helping to connect our supporters and new audiences with the refugee cause and UK for UNHCR’s work.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES  

The Communications Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of communications activity as required across all aspects of communications. This includes:  

• Providing administrative support for the Communications effort, including tracking and compiling results, internal communications, digital asset management and event logistics.
• Coordinating the team’s consent tracking and records for content and Storytellers (case studies).
• Working with colleagues in Digital Communications to respond to community enquiries on the charity’s social media channels.
• Sourcing stories and creating and uploading content for editorial channels. 
• Helping to develop UK for UNHCR’s digital influencer outreach.
• Assisting the team with image and footage research to support project-specific communications and editorial channels. 
• Researching stories, statistics and other material relating to UNHCR’s relief work and other areas to support communications activity.
• Working directly with UK-based Storytellers (case studies) and refugee organisations to support communications activity.

Job Purpose:

Welcome refugees and asylum seekers arriving in Derby, connecting them to the community and supporting their integration through activities, individual assessments, and tailored support plans.

Context of the role.

Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support to Refugees and Asylum Seekers within our Thriving Places project. Your time will be spent at the Integration Hub in central Derby.

Thriving Places is a 3-year project, funded by the National Lottery, which will provide support to asylum seekers and refugees as they integrate into life in the UK. The project supports people on an individual basis, with the development of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), the provision of integration activities and opportunities for training, skills development and volunteering. The Refugee Integration Worker will work as part of a team and work directly with refugees and those seeking asylum to carry out needs assessments, develop ISPs and support people on their integration journeys.

Job Purpose:

Assisting in the resettlement of vulnerable refugees and Afghan evacuees through the provision of advice, guidance, and support.

Context of the role.

Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support working on the refugee resettlement scheme.

Refugee resettlement takes place across Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Over the past 7 years, Upbeat Communities has welcomed and played a key part in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in partnership with local authorities in both counties. This role has included supporting families to apply for universal credit and set up bank accounts, registering with GPs and local schools in addition to integrating into their local community. Since the summer of 2021, we have taken on responsibility for the resettlement of Afghan families in both regions.

This role requires working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment to manage a caseload of participants' families, with a lot of travel across the county of Lincolnshire. Areas covered could including Sleaford, Bourne, Spalding, Skegness, Boston.

We are looking for a new team member who can provide support to refugee families across Lincolnshire. Due to the nature of the work, you would need to hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a car, and be willing to travel to visit families, as well as attend team meetings in Derby.

About the role

• To provide a holistic assessment and up to 12-week therapeutic intervention to separated asylum seeking children, and young people.

We have a unique opportunity for a project worker to join the Oasis Community Space as part of our work with refugees and asylum seekers.  This role will create real impact in Scunthorpe by identifying key stakeholders in the support of Asylum Seekers and Refugees and helping them to develop their offer and coordinate the support.

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for justice and compassion for all to take on this exciting role. You’ll need to be an effective communicator and ready to tackle big issues with drive and initiative. Best of all, you’ll be supported by a thriving team of people who are dedicated to supporting families and young people in Scunthorpe.

The role will involve supporting projects relating to Refugee and Asylum support, primarily at the Oasis Community Space and other Hub venues. To develop a clear understanding of the support and services available for refugees and asylum seekers in the community. To coordinate support to refugees for future independence and self-sufficiency within their new community. The post requires a dynamic and creative approach to help develop and support the Oasis Community Space and the wider Refugee and Asylum provisions.

The successful post holder must have:

· Good standard of basic education, including English and Maths Level 2

· Experience facilitating groups and organizing engaging group activities

· Experience managing and working with volunteers

· Good project management skills, able to balance a range of priorities.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a maternity cover for our Trust & Foundations Manager role. Passionate about Trust Fundraising at a high level and about UNHCR’s work, this role is involved in the cultivation and stewardship of some our biggest and most established trust and foundation donors.

You will join our small but talented Philanthropy Team supporting on identifying and bringing on board new and prospective trust and foundation supporters, and securing repeat income from key relationships.

You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO, trustees and international colleagues to steward and cultivate donor relationships. An experienced fundraiser, you will provide strategic insight into how we grow and improve our programme. 

You will be confident in navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders and in negotiating internally as well as externally. You will enjoy developing strong relationships, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and will be adept at managing prospect pipelines and crafting compelling donor communications.

This role is also responsible for managing the Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer and will provide support, mentorship and coaching to help the development of this role.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES

• Manage the Senior Officer working on trusts and foundations. 
• Work as part of the Philanthropy Team to develop new opportunities with trusts and foundation donors in line with UK for UNHCR’s fundraising strategy, achieving six figure income targets.
• Support the development and management of a robust prospect pipeline and a calendar of opportunities for grant submissions, engagement, cultivation and stewardship of donors.
• Work with the wider international organisation to identify the most appropriate funding propositions for donors.
• Craft compelling propositions and proposals for trusts and foundation donors and ensure quality and timely reporting on donations made.
• Establish a strategic and tactical response to selected prospects and existing trust and foundation donors in the event of humanitarian emergencies.

The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is seeking a Legal Officer (10-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension) to play a key role in enabling us to fulfil our mission to break the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realise everyone’s right to a nationality. The Purpose of the Role

As Director of Communications, UK, you lead IRC UK’s core communications strategy with the objectives of growing our profile, influencing policy, driving income, and protecting our reputation. This is done by taking a strategic approach to generating effective messaging for cross-team use, creatively collaborating to produce cut-through external products across media and digital channels, and generating top tier media coverage in collaboration with communications, advocacy and fundraising colleagues globally.
