Amparo is a leading support agency for those who have been bereaved, or otherwise affected by, suicide. We help people dealing with the trauma of suicide by offering practical assistance at a difficult time. Our Suicide Bereavement Liaison Workers (SBLWs) are key to this support, so we're looking for people who can provide practical and emotional support. We're currently recruiting SBLWs to be based in Lancashire, South Yorkshire and Kent & Medway.
You'll need a background in community work, social work, psychotherapy or counselling (although this role does not involve counselling). We're looking for someone with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience working in a helping profession.
Working from home, you'll be responsible for making first contact with referrals - we pride ourselves on making contact within 24 hours. You'll build an ongoing support relationship with clients that could be short term or may last several months. This may involve travel in your local area or regular contact by phone or video chat.
It's important work. Research shows that up to 10% of people who have been bereaved by suicide may go on to take their own life, but your support can prevent this. Since Amparo was created in 2015, not a single client has taken their life. This is a role where you can make a difference.
Full time is 35 hrs per week, but we can also offer part-time or sessional work for these roles, so please take a look at the job descriptions and person specifications for more details.

The Living Well Team:
The Bury Living Well Service is formed from an alliance of mental health services in the Bury area. The staff team is made up of staff from different backgrounds from Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Bury Involvement Group, the Creative Living Centre, and Early Break, and includes both clinical and non-clinical staff who employ a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges in the community.
Job Summary:
You will form part of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) provision within the Bury Living Well Model as a member of the Creative Living Centre (CLC) Service Delivery Team. The Link Worker is responsible for case loading adults experiencing mental and emotional distress, offering person-centred and trauma informed support in the community both face to face and via telephone. Ensuring that service users are provided with both initial and ongoing support in either 1:1 or group sessions, as appropriate to their needs which are identified and reviewed on an ongoing basis. You will engage empathically with those you support, providing positive emotional and therapeutic support, through a collaborative approach which focuses on individual strengths rather than deficits, enabling and promoting autonomy and self-care. You will work alongside clinical staff and staff from other VCSE organisations to form multidisciplinary team approach to collaboratively support individuals in the community. You will be supported by the Living Well VCSE Coordinator, Operational Programme Manager and Clinical Lead. CPD opportunities are available and personal interests/skills will be supported to development and growth. This is a new post and there will be an opportunity to help shape and evolve it.

Beacon Counselling and Stockport Homes Group work in partnership to provide effective, high quality short-term therapy to Stockport Homes adult tenants through a self or supported referral pathway.
Clients referring into this service will be assessed initially by this role and allocated into the appropriate pathway within the programme.
The role requires 10 client hours per week including assessments, with a 12 hour per week contract. You may be required to work evenings to meet the demand and needs of our clients.

- Ability to work to a high professional standard and within the BACP’s Ethical Framework.

About the Role:
As a Regional Development Lead, you'll be at the forefront of our work with key stakeholders, including Network Rail, British Transport Police, train operating companies, and local organizations. Contribute to CALM’s Fundraising Revenue targets, through excellent relationship management and supporter care

The Role
Due to the expansion of the charity, this new role presents an exciting opportunity to join a growing and fast-moving organisation and make an important contribution to the operational success of the charity. The successful candidate will be expected and supported to work autonomously, working approximately 3 days on finance and 2 days supporting the HR function of the Charity. HR
Managing HR inbox, responding to job applicants in a timely manner and collating and reviewing CV’s and cover letters in readiness for shortlisting
Preparation of letters, contracts, job offers and policies on advice from HR Lead.
Maintaining our HR and online training portal to ensure correctness of details for all employees.
Assisting departments in recruitment and onboarding, job descriptions, DBS’s, induction plans.
Filing employee documentation in SharePoint in an organised manner.
Reporting Line
The successful candidate will report to the accountant but will also engage with various members of other teams such as HR & fundraising.

About the Role
The Campaigns and Influencing Manager will develop and drive forward Agenda’s campaigns and influencing plans to improve systems and services for women and girls with unmet needs.
This role would support a collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic person, keen to work closely with our team, Alliance members, and women and girls with lived experience of the areas we work on, to share our messages and bring about positive social change.
This is an exciting and varied role, providing the right candidate with the opportunity to bring together campaigning, policy influencing, convening and co-production, as well as the chance to develop and manage others. The postholder will look across all our evidence and projects to consider and implement the most impactful routes to influence.
Key responsibility areas
- Developing and holding Agenda’s campaigns and influencing plans, aimed at improving systems and services for women and girls with unmet needs, drawing on a range of tactics and approaches.
- Overseeing the delivery of existing funded projects and influencing goals, including around young women and racial disproportionality in the justice system, girls at risk of school exclusion, mental health and racism in public services.
- Coordinating the team to draw together Agenda’s research, communications, policy and insights to develop key messages, and ways of using these to target and influence key audiences.
- Identifying key points of influence and leverage across a range of areas, nationally and locally - developing approaches and relationships with key actors which will have maximum impact for bringing about change.
