About Welcome Friends
Welcome Friends helps to alleviate loneliness and isolation in the over 50’s in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf by recruiting and training volunteers who are subsequently matched to beneficiaries who will visit them every week. Volunteers are encouraged, where it is feasible, to accompany or encourage the older person to interact more with their community, through attending local groups/community events.
Key Duties:

Recruit, interview, induct, train and support volunteers.

Work closely with partners/referral agencies and funders to ensure a steady flow of participants into the projects.

Manage the matching/placement process of volunteers and participants, setting up and supporting new activities where appropriate.

Be responsible for project compliance, carrying out risk assessments for volunteer activity and regularly reviewing, including safeguarding arrangements.

Provide administrative support for the project where required, processing volunteer expenses and maintaining databases.

Prepare reports to Delivery Leader and Project Manager based on agreed outputs and targets.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We are part of ‘One Recovery Buckinghamshire’ (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.
We are looking for two Complex Needs Practitioners to join our team in Aylesbury. The purpose of the role is to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
All Complex Needs Practitioners work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health and social care. A core part of the role will be working with people and their families to address holistic support needs across all aspects of the person’s wellbeing. This could include diverse work related to knife crime, 5 step family work, exploitation, physical and emotional health as well as substance misuse.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. Experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and engaging effectively with clients in a variety of settings is essential. You’ll also need a flexible approach, excellent record keeping and report writing skills and a willingness to work flexibly across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, on an outreach basis, with a central hub base at our head office.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

About the role
As Operations Administrator, you will work as part of the Operations Team to ensure the smooth running of the ‘behind the scenes’ work of the organisation, to support the Operations Manager in processing the monthly impact measurement data and to provide operational administrative and IT support for the organisation’s outreach teams and the general work of the organisation.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join our team covering Fife and the surrounding area. Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations. This is a key role within our small organisation, ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and maintaining compliance with all statutory financial regulations. You will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the charity through effective financial management and reporting. WFH is permissible in this role, although you will be required to attend quarterly Finance & Audit Committee meetings with Trustees in person.

Key Responsibilities:
JOB DESCRIPTION: The role includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1. To be responsible for maintaining the entire accounting function of the charity using Xero accounting software, inputting financial data and ensuring all reconciliations are completed by 10th of each month. Control and reconciliation of income and expenditure relating to major fundraising events, managing debtors and banking takings. Assisting in preparation of financial reports for donors as required.
2. To keep up to date with statutory regulations, guidelines and best practice for the financial management of charities, ensuring Trustees are properly advised of their statutory responsibilities.
3. To maintain, and amend where necessary, financial procedures and administrative systems to ensure accurate capture of financial information as required by statute, including cataloguing of all receipts and holding staff to proper filing of financial documents.
4. To maintain proper use of charitable funds, including restricted funds, ensuring that expenditure remains within pre-approved budgets and does not outstrip income.
5. To liaise with the payroll provider with regards to any changes by 17th of each month, arrange salary payments for 24th of each month (UK staff x3). Maintain Pension Scheme records and liaise with Pensions Regulator.
6. To liaise with auditors to ensure that statutory obligations are met on a timely basis and final accounts are available for sign off at September Trustees Board Meeting.
7. To work collaboratively with staff in Uganda and Zambia, and any other partner organisations, speaking over the telephone and through Skype, helping them to maintain accounts and adhere to financial procedures that meet required standards for a UK charity.
8. To be the principal contact with the Charity’s bank and the main administrator of the online and telephone banking.
9. To liaise with FX bank contacts for best rates facilitate bi-monthly overseas transfers and have awareness and monitoring of exchange movements.
10. To process claims for Gift Aid, during and up to end of financial year by 20th April.
11. To produce, in collaboration with other staff, annual budgets, cash flow projections for consideration by Trustees at the Finance Committee and Board meetings in February/March each year.
12. To provide regular financial reports, both verbally and in writing, to the Executive Director, Treasurer & Trustees including quarterly summary of income and expenditure, full monthly profit and loss and management accounts and cash flow projections.
13. To attend quarterly Finance Audit Committees, and Board meetings if required.

Candidate Profile:
Essential:
- Experience managing the full financial function of a charity or similar organisation, including familiarity with accounting software (preferably Xero).
- Strong knowledge of charity accounting standards, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

We are looking for an outreach worker, to work alongside colleagues in the Perinatal Mental Health Service team at West London NHS Trust to:

Scottish Women’s Aid has an exciting opportunity to join the Training team, covering maternity for the Learning and Development Coordinator post. The role holder will be responsible for leading on the coordination and delivery of a programme of learning, development and good practice events for Scottish Women’s Aid’s 33 member organisations who deliver frontline services to women, children and young people experiencing domestic abuse. Working closely with the Member Services team and the Training team, they will identify key learning and development needs of the network, commission, develop and deliver training and ensure the member learning and development programme is fit for purpose through regular monitoring and evaluation. The role reports directly to the National Training Manager.
Background
Scottish Women’s Aid is the lead organisation in Scotland working to end domestic abuse. We are both a children’s rights and a women’s rights organisation.
- We directly campaign to institutions and leaders for policies and laws that address the drivers of women’s inequality and improve responses to domestic abuse. This work makes women and children safer and helps them disentangle themselves from their abusers.
- We provide training to public and private bodies from the police and judiciary to child welfare systems, to effectively respond to survivors.
- We raise the profile of domestic abuse nationally and internationally so that domestic abuse is treated like the critical threat to human rights that it is.

What you’ll do
Working collaboratively with the Training, Member Services, Policy and other teams within SWA, you will coordinate and deliver a learning and development programme for our members, including an online programme of events and tailored, bespoke learning for individual member organisations as needed. You will develop and deliver training and, where appropriate external expertise is required, identify and commission external and associate trainers as part of the learning and development programme. - Knowledge of models of evaluation and quality assurance of training and trainers
