What you will do:

As an Advanced Dog Trainer, you will play an integral role in creating partnerships by assessing, training, and placing assistance dogs to our beneficiaries. About this key role

Our successful candidate will assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, offering support to up to 20 young people per year, who are identified by local partners as most at need of support.  You will produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, plus deliver a holistic support service, working independently or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will involve providing practical guidance on areas such social and housing support, education, training and employment options, and benefits work.

We will count on you to develop and maintain strong relationships with referral and partner agencies, including police, Youth Offending Teams, Probation, local authorities and social services, while closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a survival plan for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for on-going support is also a key aspect of this role.

What we are looking for

• To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of Greater Manchester
• Experience in negotiation with partner agencies to establish links to further aims of the project
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• Knowledge of the local community, its projects and services available to young people

This pivotal role involves processing stock collection requests for new retail shop sites, optimising online processes, and delivering continuous improvements for our stock collection booking system. You'll collaborate closely with the Stock Generation Lead to create a donated stock package, ensuring all activity is delivered on time for our field team to prepare the site for trading.

As Retail Implementation Stock Generation Assistant, you will work with teams across the business, including Retail colleagues, the Transport team and the Fundraising, Marketing & Engagement directorate.

You’ll be responsible for collaborating with field teams to determine stock needs and setting up and managing internal systems for stock generation. You will also track stock availability and liaise with various teams to ensure smooth processes for new store openings.

Fundraising Events Officer

Location: The role is based at the Trust’s office in West Berkshire with a minimum of three days per week expected to be worked at our Newbury office. Flexible working arrangements are available with the understanding that this must meet the objectives of the charity and requirements of the role.

Purpose

This is an exciting and vital role supporting the delivery of the events programme within a leading mental health charity.

We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people wanting to raise money to make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and community fundraisers. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.

As Fundraising Events Officer, your role is to support the Fundraising Events Manager to plan, deliver and review an exciting calendar of Charlie Waller fundraising events, supporting a wide range of third-party challenge events and community led activities.

Key responsibilities and duties

The Fundraising Events Officer will support the overall delivery of our varied events programme, bringing their enthusiasm to a calendar of events that aim to raise significant income for the charity, whilst also raising the charities profile and reach. They will play a key role in the delivery of well-loved annual events and support our growing network of event participants. Including but not limited to:

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Fundraising Events Manager, Head of Fundraising and fundraising committees.
• The opportunity to take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events, managing the expenditure budget and meeting income targets.
• Maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Support the fundraising committees with their activities, providing administrative support and guidance as needed.
• Support the promotion of our fundraising events, writing copy, building emails and supporting social activity.
• Support the development of our event marketing collateral, to support participants fundraising efforts.

• Send fundraising materials (including t-shirts, information packs, etc.) to individuals raising money for us.
• Ensure that systems and processes are used as expected, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers, funders, other statutory and voluntary organisations who work in the mental health field, and members of the public.
• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.

TLC: Talk Listen, Change are looking for a Children and Young People’s Rapid Response worker to deliver a crisis service for children and young people aged 5-18 living in the Wigan area who have been arrested following the use of harmful and physically violent behaviours towards their parents / carers. The service is trauma informed, supporting young people to change their behaviour through work with both them and their families. The service will provide a rapid response for young people at crisis point working intensively with individuals and families for a short period of time, and work closely with youth justice teams and other services in the area.

You’ll collaborate with various agencies, becoming an essential bridge to the resources they require, and implement effective risk management procedures with the support of senior staff. Back Up’s Regional Outreach and Engagement team are the very face of the organisation and are based across the UK, working directly with spinal cord injury centres, hospitals – or indeed anywhere that people affected by spinal cord injury may be.

About the role:

Working as part of the services team, you’ll be a key player in how we develop and deliver our impactful courses.

All of our courses aim to increase confidence and independence in a supportive environment. They’re also led by people who have a spinal cord injury themselves – allowing participants to learn from others who have who have been there and can understand the issues and challenges. They quite literally transform lives.

With your organisational skills and desire to make a positive impact, you’ll play a vital role in helping us realise our vision of a world where people affected by spinal cord injury can reach their full potential.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working with volunteers, partners and participants to make sure our courses are a success. You’ll be responsible for the administration and logistics to make sure that courses are filled, delivered smoothly and efficiently to make sure our courses are a success and deliver the best possible experience to everyone involved.

You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You’ll enjoy planning and seeing projects through to delivery, be that independently or as part of a wider team.

The mentoring service is a growing service which has ambitious aims to connect more people affected by spinal cord injury every year. The Mentoring Assistant is a key part of this growth, ensuring that the service is delivered to a high standard through undertaking administrative responsibilities such as data management, service user engagement and impact measurement.

Mentoring Assistants will be effective communicators who thrive in a fast paced working environment, working efficiently especially with regards to administrative tasks to support the team connect even more people affected by spinal cord injury
