About the Team:

The Resilient Water Accelerator (RWA), hosted by WaterAid, is a global initiative that aims to:

• Address the climate impacts on water to strengthen resilience in vulnerable communities;
• Secure greater investment from public and private sources in water infrastructure and services;
• Ensure this work can be replicated and scaled to increase long term water security.

To achieve this we will work with policy makers, experts, investors and communities to identify critical climate risks to water and shape a business case for priority projects.

We will work to ensure these projects act as positive examples of a new approach to programme development in the water and climate sectors.

This role will play an essential part in delivering our international programme of work.

As the Admin Officer, you will be a critical part of the Global Secretariat- helping to link the different parts of the RWA together and co-ordinate with our partners around the world.

About the Role:

You will work with the Senior Management Team to ensure the team can deliver our work to the high standards we set for ourselves. As the RWA delivers its ambitious programme of work the post holder will ensure we are delivering high quality events, prompt and regular engagement with key stakeholders, and rapid and consistent processing of contracts, payments and reporting for donors and suppliers. This will require the ability to build an understand of the processes and objectives of WaterAid and the Resilient Water Accelerator so that we respond appropriately to work and opportunities as they arise, and are conducted in line with agreed policies and procedures.

You will be accountable for:

• Providing support and solutions as the RWA puts in place new structures and systems ahead of independence, working with SMT to explore the practical and regulatory steps towards building our own independent systems.
• Take the lead in engaging with WaterAid's finance processing systems
• Process payments
• Develop contracts and due diligence
• Prepare invoices and work with the team to develop budget forecasts
• Support events and publications
• Help the team engage designers and publicity services for event and publications
• Support planning and project management for events and publications
• Liaise with WaterAid's communications team to ensure visibility of RWA activities
• Support Hiring and Training
• Support the recruitment and onboarding process for new staff, organising recruitment campaigns, working with WaterAid's People Team, and liaising with candidates.
• Supporting staff activities, including logistics for travel and accommodation for training, aways days and in-person meetings

• Ability to act on your own initiative to ensure momentum of our work is maintained

• Ability to produce high quality written work in English with a strong eye for detail
• Experience of organising events
• Experience in administration - contracts, payments and project management procedures

About the role:

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.

The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.

The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.

About You:

To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:

Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.

Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.

XLP is a vibrant youth work charity dedicated to shaping bright futures for young people. Leading the charge against poverty and educational failure in inner London, we offer holistic, long-term support to 11 to 25 year olds in both schools and communities.

Fobzu was established in 1978 and is dedicated to achieving international support for Palestinian universities, educators and students in their work to defend, build and grow a flourishing and self-determined higher education system, which is essential to the realisation of freedom and progress for the Palestinian people. 

Position Overview

The Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Fobzu's advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advocacy and Awareness Programme

• Assist in organising webinars and in-person events.

• Undertake research for regular briefings and publications. 

• Help in the delivery of workshops to educate stakeholders about the challenges and opportunities within Palestinian higher education.

• Contribute to work amplifying the voices of Palestinian students and educators through various channels, including Fobzu’s newsletter, social media, events, and written publications.

• Assist in the development and expansion of Fobzu’s work fostering academic collaboration and exchange between UK and Palestinian higher education institutions.

About you:

The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. The role

With the growth in demand from businesses to join the B Corp movement, we have created this role to assist the Finance team with a range of activities as we move to a new accounting system that meets the needs and demands of our growing organisation.  We outsource the day to day bookeeping work but the Sales Ledger invoicing will remain in house.

We are looking for a team member who has ideas and thoughts on how to improve the way we work and can input into the development of Finance Policy and Procedures.

Tasks and responsibilities will include: 

• Checking the finance email inbox and other forms of communication, dealing with queries, actioning and/or forwarding as appropriate and capturing all relevant information

• Working with Finance Officer and other team members to ensure completeness of member data such as invoicing address, contact details, pricing and credit terms in relevant databases (Salesforce and Xledger)

• Liaising with the outsourced service and internal staff members to ensure supplier queries are resolved and payments are made in a timely manner

• Working with the Head of Finance to prepare year end information for the external audit

• Working with the current Finance Officer to maintain a centralised record of all relevant communications.

• Assist Debit Card holders with administrative tasks linked to card usage

• Working with Finance staff to document and implement financial processes and procedures

• Assist with continuous improvement of systems, controls and working practices in finance and other areas of the organisation
