Purpose of the post
To lead the development of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE) voice and influence in the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership. To support good population health and health inequality ambitions, specifically relating to healthy minds, children, young people and families and healthy communities.

To lead the development of valuable feedback loops between advocates and the VCSE sector, and to collaborate with the VCSA Insight and Impact Manager to produce insight reports that can be used to further influence system decisions.

To develop and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders operating at grassroots and strategic levels to ensure Health and Social Care services are being designed and commissioned with insight from the VCSE.

Background
This is an exciting new opportunity to develop a strategic approach to VCSE voice and influence across the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership to support good population health and health inequality ambitions, specifically relating to healthy minds, children young prole and families and healthy communities. These are three of the five priorities for our Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership.

Our Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, in collaboration with Bradford Council and VCSE infrastructure support organisations, have commissioned a new transitional VCSE Activation Contract.

This contract will:

• Strengthen the Sector – through improving the capability of, and address weaknesses in, organisations that directly divert citizens from the statutory health and social care system.
• Activate the Voice and Influence of Citizens and the VCSE Sector to ensure insight and experience of diverse citizens and VCSE organisations inform and support activity which takes pressure off front line health and social care services.
• And will seek out the voices and insight of the most marginalised communities and those of the VCSE organisations that are working with and supporting those groups to achieve the outcome described above. This citizen voice is a key theme to how we make decisions across our place – Bradford District and Craven.

During this coming year we will work together as partners to focus on our shared ambition of people living ‘happy, healthy at home.’ Specifically, taking pressure off front health and care front line services, including children and young people’s services.

Special conditions
As part of this role, you will be required to work and travel across the Bradford District and Craven. While the VCS Alliance supports hybrid working, there is an expectation that you will be based at the office for at least two days per week.

Mental Health Support Worker

Position: Safe Harbour Non-Clinical Support Worker

Location: Epsom

Hours: 37 hrs. The service is open 8.45am-6pm, 365 days of the year. Full time staff will be part of the team covering the service’s needs. Bank staff will work casual shift/hours.

The Role

The Safe Harbour Practitioner will be required to coordinate and lead on activities and groups and carry out one to one sessions for people using the service both face to face, online, and by telephone. Bank staff will cover sickness, annual leave etc with no commitment to accept shifts offered.

The Safe Harbour Pilot is a 12-month Pilot in response to the rise in need and pressures across the mental health system. By creating greater capacity across the pathway and providing an additional day time resource where, a non-clinical model is best placed to meet the holistic needs of people, and support them to avoid escalation, manage and prevent crisis, better manage their mental health, stabilise, and build resilience. The service will be staffed 7 days a week, 365 days a year, by third sector non-clinical mental health practitioners.

This is not a front-line crisis service but works with those not requiring clinical crisis intervention or hospitalisation to build resilience with a focus on preventative work.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with clients face-to-face, to support their mental health.
• Establish and maintain a strong and positive rapport with clients of the Safe Harbour.
• Develop a vibrant programme of support.
• Motivate people attending groups, and other support sessions.
• Support the manager in the day-to-day management of the service.
• Work with external agencies to develop a programme of activities.
• Motivate and support people attending groups, and other support sessions.
• Complete all tasks related to set up, including planning initial meetings, calendar updates and rotas.
• Accept and process initial referrals and implement individual monitoring tools (Recovery Star).
• Complete risk assessments as required (including client risk).
• Monitor and evaluate activities and provide data for our funders and trustees.
• Conduct ongoing evaluation of the programmes and services and implement improvements as necessary.
• Some remote and offsite working.

About You

You will have experience of working in mental health, wellbeing, behaviour change work with adults, or similar role along with the ability to travel and work flexibly.

Job Purpose

This role is within our crisis alternative emergency department (ED) service, which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who present at A&E, feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service will work collaboratively with hospital Psychiatric Liaison Team (LPS) to ensure those in crisis are supported by the appropriate team. The service will operate 365 days a year from 5pm-1am across three ED’s in West London. 

Staff within the service will triage, assess and provide face-to-face support to anyone who is experiencing mental health crisis. This will be person-centred and will be in various forms of de-escalation support; practical, emotional support, grounding techniques, safety planning, care/action planning etc. Staff within the service will work alongside LPS and escalate if clinical intervention is required. Staff will also actively participate in MDT discussions for frequent attenders and take a key role in initiating and promoting alternative crisis support in the aim of preventing A&E use. Staff in our Safe Space ED service are required to have experience in a mental health clinical setting (such as inpatient, A&E, or other clinical setting) however, they do not need to hold a clinical qualification for this role.

The Role

The role of the crisis practitioner will be to work collaboratively with LPS and service users to de-escalate crises in ED. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, alongside LPS. The crisis practitioner’s duty will be to de-escalate low/moderate mental health and social needs and deliver collaborative self-management plans with service users to improve mental wellbeing and reduction in A&E attendance. The crisis practitioner will also be responsible for linking in and signposting follow up support with our community Safe Space team. This role does not include clinical intervention. The crisis practitioner will be required to raise and follow up on safeguarding concerns, with support by the Team Manager.

Person Specification

• Minimum of 2 years working in clinical mental health services or settings 
• Minimum of 2 years supporting clients experiencing severe mental health distress and crisis
• Minimum of 2 years supporting clients with moderate/severe mental health 
• Extensive experience of managing challenging behaviour and dealing with clients with complex needs

Part 1: Role Purpose:

The Global Press & PR Manager will play a vital role in growing awareness and exposure of Street Child, working with journalists, editors and media houses to build a consistent and pro-active media presence. Street Child’s Global MMC team is fully integrated into the whole organisation and our primary aim is to raise awareness of Street Child and act as a force-multiplier for fundraising efforts.

The role will explore new media relationships and re-ignite existing contacts, turbo-charging the value press and media generates for Street Child.

This is a role for a high-class media professional with a passion for our mission, great energy, imaginations and fantastic relationship building skills. This role requires an individual who will be based in our London office for a minimum of three days a week.

Tasks include delivering media coverage across global outlets, supporting the delivery of media training and briefings and the management/development of Street Child’s podcast.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Delivering global media coverage (80%):

• Develop and maintain close working relationships with journalists across a range of broadcast, print and digital media outlets, looking beyond mainstream media to deliver global reach.
• Writing and publishing compelling, engaging press releases
• Manage and deliver media coverage on key campaigns and initiatives
• Support on the delivery of media briefings, including for the CEO, where required
• Lead and deliver PR campaigns, including influencer activations and activity
• Support the planning and management of overseas and UK trips for the purpose of generating coverage and content, often with journalists or high-profile supporters
• Be available for out of hours media, this will see you handling media enquiries and proactively pushing out stories at the weekend and out of hours during the week- this is crucial to communicating our rapid responses in a timely manner.

• Identify, reach out to, and coordinate with potential guests, including Street Child staff, beneficiaries, industry experts, and celebrity supporters. Manage these relationships to ensure a diverse and compelling line-up of interviewees.
• Monitor and analyse podcast performance metrics, listener feedback, and industry trends. Use insights to continuously improve content quality, format, and reach, ensuring the podcast remains relevant and impactful.
• Work with the wider team to develop and execute marketing and promotional plans to grow the podcast’s audience.

Strategic support (10%):

• Working closely with key stakeholders from other departments within Street Child to provide PR support, as well as developing and executing creative ways to deliver Street Child’s objectives.

What we need from you

You'll need excellent partnership skills, a focus on delivering social impact, ability to identify opportunities for fundraising and programme development and commitment to customer service with the confidence to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. You'll also have:

• A proven track record of positive stakeholder engagement and relationship management, both internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written, tailored to a range of audiences
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Experience of quality assurance of projects, including monitoring and evaluation systems
• Confidence with budget management and financial systems
• IT literate and able to use technology for effective project delivery

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs Accounts Payable function; processes transactions in the accounting system and maintains accounts payable files for vendors. Primary point of contact for questions and assistance regarding entry and payment of invoices.

Essential duties and responsibilities: 

· Subject matter expert on Unit 4 ERP System Vendor Master File and accounts payable, provide support to other Internews staff also entering invoices.

· Prepare and enter multi-currency invoices for all payment methods (Barclays wire Transfers, ACH, check, FX, Western Union, etc.), including review for proper coding and approvals.

· Review and research open payables to resolve outstanding issues prior to payment.

· Process recurring remittances according to corporate schedule, including payment of invoices entered by others.

· Processing payments and Provide payment confirmations to appropriate parties as necessary.

· Maintain AP vendor master records in accounting system.

· Organize and maintain A/P files.

· Research vendor payment history in response to queries from Internews staff and others.

· Cross trained as backup staff to other department functions, including PSC payment processing and expense reimbursements and AP mailbox cover.

· Support of commitment accounting and purchase order monitoring

· Maintain Asset Register incl Additions and Disposal, Monthly Depreciation calculation and posting the journals into the accounting system.

· Balance Sheet Reconciliations including Payroll and Bank Reconciliations before month-end close.

· Debtor and Creditor reconciliations and Advances (Cards) before month-end close

· Processing and posting Prepayments before month-end close.

· Income & Expenditure Recording in the accounting system

· Proving support during Statutory and Donor Audits

If so, St Giles is looking for a Senior Children and Young People Caseworker to join us and provide both face-to-face and virtual/remote one-to-one casework to young people aged between 10-25 years old at risk or on the periphery of gangs, serious youth violence and offending.

About this key role

You will manage a caseload of up to 15 clients and support a minimum of 20 new clients annually and play a central role in preventing serious youth violence, exploitation, offending and ensuring the safety of at-risk individuals. To achieve this, you will conduct initial needs assessments, before developing individual support and risk management plans, ensuring that you promote inter-agency collaborating in the process, and regularly reviewing the progress against these plans.

We will also count on you to provide vital holistic support, including social and housing support, finances, benefits, parenting, health, education, training & employment, and criminal justice system involvement.  Working closely with colleagues to ensure team effectiveness and building and maintaining relationships with partner agencies are also both key aspects of this role, as are collecting information and evidence for monitoring and service evaluation and ensuring that you efficiently close cases and identify ongoing support routes for your clients.

We have a great opportunity for a Special Events Lead to play a vital role in an exciting charity’s Philanthropy team, reporting to the Co-Director of Philanthropy.

Position: Special Events Lead (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

The Special Events Lead role manages the organisation’s special events from start to finish, raising the visibility of the charity, building relationships with prospects and securing income for the Children’s Hospital and the Cancer Hospital.

They will be responsible for project management and professionally executing the organisation’s special events. Past events have included a fundraising gala for 500 guests at Trinity College, a private reception at a jewellery designer’s studio and a behind-the-scenes tour of robotic surgery at the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• You will take lead responsibility for the operational management and delivery of several Special Events, from dinners and receptions to larger flagship events.
• Create a portfolio of events that will engage a variety of supporters and prospects.
• Develop a yearly events plan for prospects and donors with consideration of cross-team requirements.
• You will manage relationships with volunteer organisers of major special events; not organising the events themselves but being the key point of contact and providing support e.g. income management, marketing support via the comms team, Gift Aid and best practice advice.
• Create detailed event plans with specific objectives and actionable plans, manage event budgets astutely and review whether each event met its objectives.
• Maintain good relationships with committee chairs and committee members where events are being organised by volunteers.
• Take the lead at events; briefing and supervising event staff and volunteers, ensuring that each staff member has a sense of authority and ownership for the successful outcomes of his/her respective areas, as well as the department and organisation.
• Acknowledge, thank and maintain up-to-date, accurate records on the organisation’s CRM database.

About You

As Special Events Lead, you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent of knowledge and experience with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of successful coordination experience. You will have excellent attention to detail and organisation skills as well as the ability to project plan, design and deliver briefings.

It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills and are highly skilled in building relationships with different stakeholders. You will also be a great networker and creative relationship builder.
