About the Role:
Join us at the New Economics Foundation as a London Community Organiser for the Power to Prosper project, a collaborative initiative with The Runnymede Trust aimed at empowering everyday people to challenge the growing inequality, poverty, and problem debt in Britain. As a Community Organiser, you will work closely with our team and grassroots host organisations in London (Newham and Lambeth) to build community power, foster relationships, and support impactful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Development & Training: Coach and support a team of community organisers in delivering a roadmap aligned with the goals of the Power to Prosper project. Build collaborative relationships with diverse partner organisations, including Foodbanks, Faith groups, and Black and Ethnic minority-led organisations.
- Community Engagement & Campaigns: Support listening campaigns with partner organisations and communities to develop strategic actions that build the power of partner organisations and communities to address inequality and systemic injustice.
- Relationship and Partnership Building: Grow a network of relationships with organisations working directly with impacted people. Lead multi-organisational teams to deliver high-impact campaigns.
- Staff Support & Coaching: Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enable leadership among team members and partners. Use coaching as a core leadership practice to foster a positive, collaborative work culture.
- Project Delivery & Management: Manage effective project roadmaps resulting in successful campaign wins. Ensure timely delivery of reports and maintain regular communication with line managers.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in community organising, campaign development, and leadership within impacted groups.
- Strong commitment to social, racial, and economic justice, with experience working directly with marginalised communities, including Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences.
- Understanding of participatory action research (PAR) methodologies, community-led initiatives, and grassroots campaigning.
Additional Information:
This role reports to the Participatory Action Researcher and focuses on building the power of marginalised communities impacted by poverty, inequality, and problem debt. You will support partner organisations to integrate community organising into their work and advocate for systemic change.

About the Role
Our Help to Claim service assists people with claiming Universal Credit (UC), from advising if UC is the right benefit for them up to ensuring they receive their first correct payment. Citizens Advice Camden has been delivering the Help to Claim service since it launched five years ago.
Help to Claim is delivered by telephone, email and webchat as part of the national service. The service is available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. As a Help to Claim Adviser, you will contribute towards delivery of this service across all channels on a rota basis. We are based in central London and our Help to Claim team will be working a hybrid office-based/ remote model.
The role is open to qualified advisers who have recent experience in delivering advice on Universal Credit. Whilst we are keen to provide paid to train opportunities where we can, this role is not suitable for a trainee and such applications cannot be considered. About the Role
Working with the team to offer 1-1 peer support to anyone accessing HMN. The Peer Support service provide tailored support for individuals to support their needs. This includes using different tools and techniques to help an individual improve areas of their life they may be struggling with. Having a lived experience of mental health issues or supporting someone who has is a key element to what makes this service so unique.
The Peer Support approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity and compassion. Peer Support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery, than someone who has walked a similar path as that person.
To meet client need, and work to this personalised approach, we do support people out in the community, within their home, as well as in one of our Wellbeing Centres. Being able to drive and having access to your own vehicle (or equivalent) is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will need a personal understanding of mental ill health, either from your own lived experience or by caring for someone with a mental health condition and have awareness of issues in mental health service provision.
Peer Support Workers will also provide support within our Peer Support Groups, Peer Support Learning Sets and Peer Support Academy when needed.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.
The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:

The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and Southwest London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
At the heart of the hospice are our dedicated clinical staffs. Their exceptional commitment and professionalism is commented on by so many of the supported children and their families.
It costs £10.5 million a year to maintain our current level of care. Only 30% of that income comes from government funding via the NHS or local authorities, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep the service running. We employ 175 staff, including 98 nursing and medical staff, providing hospice and community-based services to around 700 families.
Predominantly we work with families living in the Northwest and Southwest of London and Surrey, although will accept children outside these geographical areas if they do not have access to specialist palliative care support locally. Introduction
Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.
The post holder will support with rostering of the team of volunteers where necessary and delegation of duties and jobs.

We’re looking for a capable and caring person to join Lancashire Mind’s existing Housing Team. Under the direction of the Housing Operations Lead, you will manage a caseload of tenants with enduring mental health conditions living in properties that are managed by Lancashire Mind.
Via home visits, you will work with each tenant to agree a support plan to enable them to maintain their tenancy and move towards independent living.
You will build strong working relationships with local services to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting tenants, whilst at the same time developing and maintaining good working relationships with other local services and organisations that provide support services to tenants.
You will complete and update records of interactions with tenants on the internal database and input data accurately onto monitoring spreadsheets.
Experience of delivering a housing/tenancy management service, including arrears management, tenancy management (help with budgeting, managing bills and claiming the correct benefits), antisocial behaviour, safeguarding, repairs and health and safety, would be beneficial, but is not essential.
To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and able to establish relationships based on trust with different people.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors
- We will pay £2000 (inclusive of VAT) upon successful completion of a Form F Assessment.
