What you’ll be doing?

Provide information, advice and support around a variety of issues and needs such as money, housing, employment and statutory support. Be able to identify when a client needs to be signposted or referred to another service for more specialist support.

With excellent presentation and influencing experience, your communication style will be inclusive and self-assured. You will be able to talk authoritatively about inclusive involvement, barriers which lead to discrimination and exclusion and be able to implement working practices that support equity and diversity. Knowledge of the voluntary sector and/or Learning Disabilities and/or Social Care is highly desirable.

THE ROLE
NEA is looking to appoint new Warm and Safe Homes (WASH) Advice Line Co-ordinator posts on a full time (37 hours per week) basis; but we are happy to receive applications from candidates who may wish to work part time hours as we would be prepared to appoint posts as job share opportunities. WASH Advice Line Co-ordinators will be the first point of contact for vulnerable householders who are contacting the charity for a range of energy related advice matters. Co-ordinators will need to be empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but may also need you to be assertive and confident in order to provide support to clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.
Whilst call centre or customer service experience will be advantageous, empathy and an ability to understand client needs is paramount and our training will give successful candidates the knowledge to succeed in the role.
The post holder’s main responsibilities will be to deal with customer and partner emails, calls, live chats and off- line tasks. These will include:

Provision of day-to-day support to our customers and partners (referral organisations) on any queries, or issues, through answering telephones calls and emails.

Process, resolve or escalate client queries within the WASH and wider team in line with the internal process.

As a WASH Advice Line Co-ordinator, you’ll be in the front line of the provision of solutions to client queries and issues as part of a wider team.

Maintenance of appropriate client records and necessary data using client management systems to ensure the progress of work towards project targets is monitored and that project outcomes are fully recorded.
The post holders will be responsible for the delivery of a range of projects which will demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders.
The posts sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
You should be able to demonstrate understanding or experience of energy efficiency, you will be empathetic and be a good listener – as well as demonstrable experience of responding to the needs of clients in direct contact settings. You will have the ability to work with a wide range of people and demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable householders, low income and/or other disadvantaged groups.
You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with a range of communities and individuals.
An awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them, is desirable, although not essential.
NEA has several office locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and welcomes applicants from all regions. Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services (CDARS) is a charity organisation that provides psychological and social support to drug users and their family members.
As part of this work, it has built a track record of working with service user representatives, service user Councils and networks and service user involvement teams. This includes creating a strong Volunteer, Peer Mentor and Recovery Champion network and supporting them through training, supervision and access to additional personal and professional development areas.
The WCDAS and RCDAS Treatment services, led by South London and Maudsley (SLAM), are a community substance misuse ‘partnership’ service that offers a broad and inclusive range of support and treatment options for those seeking recovery from Substance use. This includes access to medical, psychological, and sustained recovery sessions within the Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond.
The Community Involvement Co-Ordinator (CIC) will deliver positive and improved outcomes for service users across both Boroughs. This will include creating solid relationships with other partners within the voluntary and community sector (VSC), including Job Centres, Work programmes, local businesses, and employers, to improve outcomes for service users through enhanced re-integration opportunities within the local Community. Another focus of the post will be to manage the Community Involvement Worker (CIW) , who will work closely with the Manager to recruit, train and nurture peer mentors and service user representatives. This support will aim to build capacity and visible recovery across the boroughs. Both post-holders will help develop, train and nurture meaningful service user involvement through the Service User Council network and its representatives throughout the treatment system.
The post holder will need to work under the directives of the CDARS Wandsworth Management Team, with the objective of facilitating engagement in all aspects of service user involvement. The post holder will be expected to foster and develop good working relationships with staff at all levels within the partnership and establish good working relationships with other agencies, both voluntary and state, within the two Boroughs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.
The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

YMCA England & Wales is looking for a motivated Fundraising Officer (Retention) to join our dynamic Public Fundraising Team and play a key role in supporting vulnerable young people across England and Wales.
What you’ll do
In this role you will focus on retaining and growing our base of regular and cash donors. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our supporters feel valued and connected to the transformative work of YMCA.
Working within the Retention Team, you’ll:
Create Engaging Campaigns: Develop compelling fundraising materials, including cash appeals, newsletters, emails and loyalty programmes, to enhance the supporter experience.
Lead Retention Strategies: Implement targeted strategies to encourage donors to stay engaged and upgrade their support over time.
Manage Key Projects: Oversee exciting initiatives like a new email welcome journey, testing matrix and upgrade strategies.
Leverage Data Insights: Use supporter feedback and profiles to inform decision-making, ensuring campaigns are data-driven and audience-focused.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with colleagues, agencies, and suppliers to deliver seamless campaigns that inspire action.

Fundraising or Marketing Expertise: Experience in donor retention, direct marketing, or individual giving is essential.

About this exciting opportunity
Working in partnership with partner agencies, other St Giles Trust teams and referral organisations, you will identify and receive appropriate referrals to the project and build effective partnerships to support clients. You will be responsible for an ongoing caseload of clients, regularly reviewing progress and applying case management skills to provide a personalised service and meet all set targets, and you will be expected to organise and deliver one-to-one and group activities to prepare clients for employment and to achieve their goals.
To help achieve this, you will carry out comprehensive initial assessments with clients to produce realistic individual action plans which are regularly reviewed and updated, while also actively supporting clients to navigate and access the provision and support available. Leading on the development and maintenance of strong links with employers and potential work placement hosts to open up opportunities, line managing volunteer Peer Advisors and providing day-to-day support to Peer Advisors attached to the project are all also key duties.

• Substantial experience of working on a high value, target-driven project
• Experience of delivering successful one-to-one and group employment activities, applying a creative approach to planning programmes, workshops and activities
• Extensive experience of managing a caseload of clients presenting with support needs
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people
• An in-depth knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by the client group
• Ability to assist with providing monitoring information and the evaluation of the project
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Key Responsibilities
To manage the day to day running of our branches volunteer service, offering emotional and practical support to those with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, along with those closest to them, such as family, friends and carers when our branch managers are on annual leave or ill.
Main Duties
- To provide cover at any of the 5 Being There branches
- To take client referrals and liaise with relevant health, social service and voluntary services staff
- To attend and assist at social groups, excursions and support meetings at any branch as required
- To arrange client transport for medical appointments
- To attend client support group
- To ensure ongoing support for clients
- To record accurate details of each contact with clients always maintaining confidentiality
- To deal with mail, correspondence and office paperwork as agreed with branch managers
- To answer telephones and take messages as necessary
- To collate orders for stationery for all branches
- To drive clients to and from medical appointments and social events when no volunteer is available
- To assist with print distributions, local promotions, presentations and publicity as required
