We’re looking for someone to train as a Community Energy Champion to be able to provide energy advice to people in communities.
You will visit clients at home to complete Home Energy Audits, providing information and individualised support, and facilitating access to options which will improve people’s wellbeing and energy security. This will include recommending grants and helping complete applications and forms.
As a Community Energy Champion, you will deliver face-to-face and virtual energy workshops to parent groups, carers groups, community groups and others. There is also the opportunity to work with energy and water providers and other organisations to arrange themed workshop sessions.
This role will suit someone with excellent communication, planning skills, time management and an adaptable working style. Applicants should have relevant experience of delivering information and advice to a range of client groups. You must be confident using IT and will be trained to use our client database.
This is a part-time role (22.5 hours) and is 6 month fixed-term (possibility of extension) based at hub in Lewisham but also travelling across South London to carry out community and home visits. Own car would be an advantage.

Are you an organised and efficient administrator?
We are looking for someone to join our team supporting Unpaid Carers in Lewisham in a part-time admin role based at our Carers Hub at Glass Mill Leisure Centre. Our activities programme offers Unpaid Carers the opportunity to have a break from their caring responsibilities in a social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.
You’ll work closely with the service manager to plan and arrange a wide programme of activities for young and adult Unpaid Carers. This will involve liaising with providers, ensuring health and safety, insurance and other checks are in place, arranging resources and refreshments, completing risk assessments and booking venues.
You will promote activities to Unpaid Carers, manage bookings and respond to queries. As the role is based in our Carers Hub, you will interact with Unpaid Carers visiting the team or enquiring about the service. You will also provide additional admin support to the team as needed.
Applicants should have experience in an admin role and excellent customer service skills. You will require exceptional communication, organisational and written skills, and should be a proactive and creative thinker. You must be proficient in using Word and Excel, with experience of using databases.
The part-time hours (22.5) can be worked as 3 full days or shorter days across the week. Some flexibility is required for occasional evenings or Saturday working.

Purpose of Role
The Business Administration Apprentice will play a crucial role in supporting functional teams, including Finance, People, Governance and Communications to deliver our strategy. The Apprentice will undertake a structured training program, combining work-based learning with academic study, to develop essential administrative and organisational skills.
The role will work rotationally across teams, resolving issues as requested. The post involves developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.

We are looking for a new team member to provide full administrative and programme support to the Employment & Careers team. The role will involve supporting the team in the day to day running of the service including the preparation of contract documentation (such as registration forms, as well as specified supporting evidence: ID proofs, Proofs of Address etc.) for submission to funding partners, uploading data spreadsheets and CMS systems, and supporting the team with promotion, outreach and engagement of our services. Working within our training, skills, and employability division – Works for Us, our Digital Skills Officer (DSO) will help people to access and use online services and support them to develop the skills and confidence they need to use digital technology effectively and safely. About this key role
Our successful candidate will assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, and produce support plans and risk management plans based on these assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process. We will count on you to develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies, including police, treatment provider and Liaison and Diversion, and to deliver a holistic support service working, providing a practical service that will include social and housing support, education, training and employment options, benefits work, and debt advice.
Closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a success plan for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for on-going support and agencies that can be used if serious problems develop in the future is also a key aspect of the role.
What we are looking for
- If still serving a sentence: to be currently eligible for Release on Temporary License (ROTL); on release, likely to be living within commuting distance of Wakefield; to be willing to provide a DBS check and other disclosure as required, including references from the Prison Service
- Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess client’s needs
- Experience in negotiation with partner agencies to establish links to further aims of the project
- Proven record of engaging successfully with challenging people
- Knowledge of services for offenders and patterns of offending in Wakefield

The Grants Officer will report to the Grants Manager and provide support to the wider Grants Team. As a Support Advisor working part time or full time, you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the RISE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.
You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Wiltshire, the project aims to:
- Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
- Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
- Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.
- Support service users to increase and advance work related skills, such as the development of CVs, financial management and IT skills.
- Raise awareness of this agenda to a wider network.
The service will support victims of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking aged 15 and above, alongside perpetrators of Domestic Abuse – empowering victims and reducing the risk of recidivism for perpetrators.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable people and an understanding / experience of the Education, Training and Employment (ETE) sector. They will have an understanding of trauma informed practice and ideally have experience implementing this within group and 1-1 settings. - Build and further developing relationships/links with ETE providers and corporate partners to expand the provision for our service users.
- Risk assess those you are supporting and take proactive action to address risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Play an active role in the recruitment process of volunteers in addition to management of volunteers, ensuring they are kept up to date and involved in the organisation, and able to support our service users.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed where required and safety plans are completed on time and regularly.
- Work closely with the services across FearFree, developing close working relationships and supporting clients who may be accessing support from our other services.
- Record all contact with service users and abide by confidentiality requirements.
- Record and monitor data to enable the service to be fully evaluated.
