Summary of role

The Community Fundraising Lead will work as part of the Partnerships team. The role will collaborate on the development of the community fundraising strategy and will lead on its implementation. The role will include engaging our community with a range of fundraising opportunities and will play a vital role in generating the funding needed for Choose Love to continue to support displaced people around the World.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive revenue via community fundraising generated by individual fundraisers, employees of our corporate partner base and small businesses supporting Choose Love

• Build a creative, diverse community fundraising strategy using learnings from your previous experience

• Collaborate with partnerships comms and digital teams on the creation of community fundraiser journey, downloadable pack and assets for fundraisers and ensure these are kept up to date

• Act as the key point of contact for Choose love community fundraisers, helping keep them informed and supported and giving them the tools to maximise their donations 

• Work towards fundraising targets by building Choose Love's community fundraising activity

• Regularly identify and explore new opportunities for fundraising 

• Help to generate and realise new community fundraising ideas

• Work with communications team to ensure regular updates about community fundraising activities to drive donations and inspire and ask others to fundraise for Choose Love

Events Assistance

• Event support for both Choose Love events and external events organised by VIPs, community fundraisers and other stakeholders - this can be everything from tracking RSVPs to arranging printed materials, payment devices, merchandise and coordinating corporate volunteers at the event

• Assisting with elements of the Choose Love Shop, as required, including logistics, facilities, technology, being an onsite point of contact for talent, corporate volunteers and other stakeholders and occasional shop shifts to help out at busy times

• Running ad hoc pop up merch stalls with corporate partners

• Running festival stalls 

General Partnerships 

• Working collaboratively with the team and Choose Love Leadership to creatively and practically build the Partnerships team’s fundraising revenue 

• Being a first point of contact with supporters messaging on our social media channels and engaging with the Choose Love online community

About You:

You will need to be passionate about Choose Love’s vision and mission, building strong relationships with our local and community supporters.

• At least 2 years experience in a community fundraising role 

• Exemplary communication abilities with a can-do attitude

• A self-starter who will enjoy the autonomy of getting to deliver a strategy you’ve helped to shape and seeing the results!

• Able to be flexible, work out of hours when needed and assist with things outside the normal scope of the role when things get busy. We are a small team so this attitude is very important!

We are looking for someone to join Choose Love who has demonstrable experience in designing, setting up and maintaining a user-friendly and efficient supporter database and who has a deep commitment to positively impacting the lives of displaced people around the world. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical skills and be passionate about understanding trends and patterns from our donations, which can help us increase our fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection, Management and Analysis:

• Maintain and oversee all Choose Love data, ensuring all data is accurate, up-to-date and clean.

• Work with the digital strategist and head of communications to scope and assess the most effective and efficient ways for Choose Love to collect, process, analyse, and report on data, feeding it into the mid and long-term strategy. 

• Work closely with external suppliers, leading on data management and systems.

• Support finance team and digital strategist in tracking donations to key fundraising appeals, including emergency fundraisers and winter fundraising campaigns. 

• Manage data flows across our different platforms and support the implementation of automation processes where appropriate. 

• Work closely with departments across the organisations, specifically  Comms & Marketing, Partnerships and Programmes and respond to internal requests for fundraising data analysis and reporting. 

• Create monthly reports on fundraising performance across comms activities to share with the team and embed best practices in future fundraising content. 

Fundraising and Donor Optimisation:

• Work with digital strategists to optimise fundraising communications and reporting.

• Integrate data analysis into digital fundraising strategy. 

• Analyse the performance of fundraising campaigns and recommend improvements.

• Segment audiences for fundraising campaigns based on various criteria (e.g., donation history, demographics) through managing datasets. 

• Develop predictive models to forecast future donations and help identify potential major donors.

• Use data to tell compelling stories that resonate with donors, supporters, and the public.

Continuous Learning and Compliance:

• Stay up-to-date with data analytics tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance your skills and contribute effectively.

• Ensure that data handling practices comply with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR)

• Be mindful of ethical issues related to data usage, especially when dealing with sensitive information about displaced people.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive experience with different database systems and knowledge of data maintenance 

• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an advanced level

• Proficient in data analysis tools with extensive experience of  cleaning, manipulating, and analysing data effectively

• Understanding of statistical concepts to draw meaningful insights from data and to assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and support programs

• Experience creating clear and informative data visualisations (e.g., graphs, charts, dashboards) 

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with team members

• Ability to identify problems, design analytical approaches, and propose solutions to enhance fundraising and support efforts

• Project management skills to plan and prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure the successful execution of data analysis projects

• Understanding of data ethics and the ability to develop ethical data collection and usage policies

• Skills in data mining to uncover hidden patterns and trends within datasets can provide deeper insights

London Legal Support Trust’s mission is to help free legal advice providers in London and the South East be more resilient and sustainable. Through grants, advice and infrastructure development, we help to ensure they can continue providing vital and life-changing legal advice to people who otherwise could not afford to defend their rights.

Access to justice is a fundamental right; without it people are at risk in almost every aspect of their lives, from employment to housing and everything in between. We exist to ensure that everyone has access to appropriate legal support when they most need it – and that lack of financial means is not a barrier. 

Our partners, the legal advice centres, help thousands of people every year to access justice and to have their voices heard.

• We support law centres and other legal advice agencies in London and the South East by providing them with grant funding alongside other forms of support.
• We offer our knowledge and experience of the sector to help legal advice agencies become more sustainable.
• We work in partnership with other grant-making bodies to get vital funds out to charities and civil society organisations, to help people that face challenges such as lack of food, isolation, debt, homelessness, domestic violence and mental ill-health. 

We raise funds for this work, predominantly through mass-participation fundraising events. Our biggest event, The London Legal Walk, is the biggest event fundraiser in the legal calendar. In 2023, over 16,000 people took part from across London’s legal sector – from judges and barristers to law firms, law students, legal advice providers and other supporters – to raise over £900,000 for free advice services in London.

About the role

We are recruiting a Programmes Manager to work across projects in our Sector Support programme. Working closely with the Head of Sector Support and Grants, they will manage relationships with beneficiaries and partners, coordinating monitoring and evaluation, and ongoing development of grants programmes. We strive to operate in alignment with IVAR Open and Trusting Grantmaking commitments.

This role

Just for Kids Law (JfKL) works with and for children and young people to hold those with power to account and fight for wider reform. They do this by providing legal representation and advice, strategic litigation, campaigning, and equipping others to work for children’s rights.

They’ve achieved some incredible reforms that make a big difference to the lives of children and young people, including changes to the law on criminal records, which resulted in thousands of young people not being held back from fulfilling their potential, and ensuring that 17-year-olds are always treated as children in police custody. Additionally, JfKL hosts The Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE), which works with around 100 members to promote children’s rights and monitor government implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit a law graduate (1-3 years post-graduation) with experience in environmental law, economic justice and/or international development to join our small but dynamic team. Depending on experience, the role will support our programmes challenging economic injustice caused by environmental damage, biodiversity loss, deforestation, illegal resource trafficking, climate change and conflicts over natural resources; promoting transparency and accountability in public and private institutions to encourage responsibility and minimise the impacts of corruption; and promoting fairer and more effective economic and fiscal policy tools to help states meet development goals and enhance the rule of law. A more detailed explanation of our work is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.

Working as part of a small, busy team, you will have the opportunity to learn at very close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on achieving environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs and CSOs, and governments and government bodies. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. The role will also involve project management, assistance with fundraising, fulfilling compliance obligations, and evaluating and learning from projects.

Key Competencies:
• Relevant experience and knowledge (either from previous work experience or study) relating to environmental law and policy and/or economic justice in an international development context;
• A law graduate with a good understanding of how law is useful to achieving reform on the above;
• Demonstrable understanding (either from previous work experience or study) of key issues in sustainable international development, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
• Experience in developing countries and transitional economies;
• Ability to develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, including donors, NGOs, civil society organisations and government representatives, on an international basis;
• Familiarity with, or understanding and enthusiasm for the concept and practice of, pro bono legal assistance;
• Demonstrable project management skills and experience, including administration and coordination;
• Ability to work on a wide range of tasks simultaneously;
• Excellent research skills to effectively convey research findings;
• Comfortable working independently and proactively and as part of a small team with a busy caseload;
• Strong interpersonal and team working skills;

Key Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Senior Legal Managers and/or Legal Manager to deliver and implement the programme strategy, in conjunction with the Executive Director, partners, staff and Board;
2. Assist in developing an understanding of the most effective policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, staff, Board and others;
3. Support the building and maintenance of ILP’s programme(s). This includes:
• Liaising with partners to identify legal/policy needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting legal analysis;
• Assisting the programme lead(s) to build a pipeline of relevant projects and cases, including through engaging in outreach to potential pro bono partners;
• Supporting programme staff to network and build relationships with volunteer lawyers who have relevant technical expertise;

• Representing the programme(s) in external fora and events;
4. Assist with ensuring effective project delivery and evaluation of impact including:

• Maintaining strong programme management and knowledge management systems and processes;
5. Support fundraising activities to support both the programme(s) and organisational overheads, including exploring opportunities for potential funding and assisting with funding applications;
6. Share in the necessary operational activities of the organisation. This includes some administration and contributions to website and social media communications.

• Location:Flexible for the right candidate including those outside the UK. Office premises are located in central London, with hybrid working (approx. 2 days per week in the office) if London-based.

Millions of EU citizens live in the UK and have to adjust to the impact of Brexit and secure their rights under the EU Settlement Scheme. It is the most isolated and disadvantaged groups of EU citizens who are struggling the most. Our charity Settled is the leading advice and support provider for EU citizens in the UK. We have secured funding for 2 new posts targeted at addressing these needs. The first is for a Romanian speaker based in London and Kent who can address the needs of the Roma community, including making a short information video. The role:
This is an exciting new role within Prison Reform Trust (PRT) for an experienced senior manager to support the CEO and the Deputy Director in delivering our ambitious new five-year strategic plan (2024-2029).
As Operations Manager you will have strategic oversight of PRT’s core operations, including Finance, HR, IT and Office Management.

About you:
You will be an experienced manager from within the voluntary sector in a finance, operations or development role. You will bring financial management skills and a working knowledge of HR.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills you will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

What we offer:
This is a full-time, permanent position. Hybrid working is currently in place which means typically 2 days a week is in the office with the rest working remotely from home.

The Interim Deputy Executive Director’s responsibilities will include managing senior staff at Reprieve, including the Directors of Casework, Advocacy and Policy, and working with the Joint Executive Director to oversee Reprieve’s Fundraising and Finances, its Governance and Board relationships, and its HR and Operations functions.

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of leadership of a small to medium size human rights or similar charity, preferably with some international operations. They will have exceptionally strong management and people management skills, excellent judgment, proven ability to lead teams to achieve impact in their work, and an understanding of charity governance and finance issues.

Contract, location and salary

This is an interim, 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 2 days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. 

The salary is £80,000 per annum plus up to 5% employee matched pension contribution.

The role will be a stimulating and inspiring opportunity for an experienced equality and discrimination lawyer to work pro actively and strategically to use the law as a tool for change. 

BEO is a civil rights charity that was set up to challenge and dismantle systemic racism. We work with Black communities by using campaigning, policy and research in conjunction with the law to effect meaningful change. 
Legal services are central to BEO. We are therefore looking for someone of 4yrs PQE who has experience in social welfare, human rights, public and administration law and who seeks an opportunity to use those skills specifically in the area of challenging systemic racism. 

In the last year we have been developing our relationships with partner organisations, ranging from community groups, our stakeholder law firms, NGOs and law firms experienced in equality and discrimination law, to deliver legal services. The role holder will be required to build on and expand these relationships so that BEO can offer quality legal advice to Back communities in the nations and regions across the United Kingdom. 
We are building our internal legal team so that we can provide targeted legal support to Black communities. We are looking for someone to work with the Director of Legal Services and Policy to ensure that high quality legal advice, support and representation are the hallmark of BEO. 

Apart from delivering targeted legal advice and representation and identifying and running strategic litigation cases, the role holder will be required to think creatively to assist in fundraising and campaigning to develop a sustainable legal service. BEO does not have a Legal Aid Agency contract so self funds all legal work. BEO is a small team, so the role holder must have the skills and confidence to work on their own initiative as well as with members of other teams in BEO.

You will also be able to demonstrate that you are aware that Black communities are not homogeneous and you will bring this understanding to the way that you approach your work and interact with clients, our partners and community organisations. 

Your qualities will include an understanding that intersectionality is relevant in all that we do at BEO and that your assessment of how we use the law will be seen through that lens. 

You will be someone who has lived experience of or insight and comprehension of the impact of racism on all aspects of the lives of members of Black communities.
