The position
In this role, you will develop and deliver resources for the Training Hub, manage the Training Hub portal, and administer EDI-aligned grant schemes, monitoring and evaluating their impact. You will also provide secretariat support to the EDI committee, collect relevant metrics to monitor EDI progress, and recognize sector good practices for EDI. Collaborating with the Communications and Membership Manager, you will drive campaigns to support member recruitment and retention, particularly in growing and emerging communities. Additionally, you will manage the Society’s network of reps, deliver the Rob Clarke award, and support the Governance and Risk Manager for the 150th Anniversary celebrations.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with experience in developing and curating content for relevant audiences, ideally within a membership organisation or the STEM sector. Experience managing an online member platform for training resources, excellent organisational abilities, and a proactive problem-solving approach are essential. The position

The ideal candidate will have a Life-Science degree or relevant experience in Life Sciences. High digital literacy is essential, encompassing digital design tools, content creation, website management, email platforms, and social media management. Experience in project management, creating accurate visual and written content for various platforms, and excellent organisational skills with a proactive problem-solving approach are required. The Policy Communications Officer will assist in increasing the visibility of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) to external audiences, with a particular focus on influencing key political stakeholders, such as the next UK government, to support policy change.
The Policy Communications team sits within the Communications Department but works closely and collaboratively with the Policy and Public Affairs Department to maximise the success and influence of their work by gaining cut-through with key audiences and inspiring positive, urgent action. This is a varied role, covering areas across diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The postholder will also assist with efforts to shape public health policy around dementia, including dementia risk reduction and brain health messaging.
The postholder will develop engaging and compelling content for a range of communications channels, with the aim of developing the charity’s voice as an expert commentator on dementia policy and establishing the charity as a thought leader in the UK.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Working with the Policy Communications Manager to lead on the creation and delivery of communications and content to support ARUK's policy and public affairs activity, working through multiple channels including national media, newsletters, website content and social media.
· Develop effective relationships with ARUK’s Communications Department, Policy & Public Affairs Department, and with external stakeholders and partners, in order to identify and deliver on communications needs.
· Help find, develop and pitch news stories, press releases, thought leadership pieces and other content to national press on ARUK’s policy and public affairs activity, bringing the charity’s expertise and key messages to the forefront.
· Support the running of ARUK’s press office by co-ordinating responses to breaking news stories relating to relevant dementia policy developments, including drafting reactive comments, briefing spokespeople and accompanying spokespeople to interviews when appropriate.
· Monitor relevant media coverage; keep up to date with policy, social, scientific and charitable sector issues which could benefit, or have relevance to, ARUK.
· Assist with the organisation and delivery of events, including ARUK’s research conference and events in parliament.
· Develop effective working relationships with relevant members of the media, government and NHS communications contacts; respond promptly to queries, including occasional out-of-hours queries.
· Work with the Public Affairs team to build on existing relationships with ARUK’s campaigners and parliamentary advocates, developing engaging content to strengthen our communications with these groups.
· Work with the Internal Communications team to create and disseminate materials to support staff across the organisation in engaging their stakeholders and the wider public with ARUK's policy and public affairs work, including toolkits and Q&As.
· Liaise with the Social Media team to develop compelling content in support of the charity’s policy and public affairs work.
· Ensure activities comply with ARUK’s branding and style guide.
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Policy Communications Manager in line with the responsibilities of the post.
What we are looking for:
· Educated to degree level in related subject or equivalent level of experience.
· Experience of working with national media on health/science or policy issues.
· Experience of working with external stakeholders and partners.
· Experience of delivering communications programmes through a variety of media (e.g. press, social media, email, events).
· Confidence working with computers; knowledge of Microsoft office packages and databases, good keyboard skills.
· Understanding of the UK political landscape, its potential impact on health policy and the role communication plays in policy change.
· Excellent journalistic skills and news sense.
· Ability to understand and translate complex policy into consumable communications for journalists and the public.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Excellent organisational skills; the ability to manage many tasks with internal and external stakeholders to multiple deadlines.
· Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with a broad range of people, including journalists, policymakers, representatives from partner organisations, and people affected by dementia.
· A confident and friendly manner; would feel at ease representing the charity to a range of audiences.
· Working with independence, intelligence, drive and initiative.
· Willingness and ability to travel independently in the UK and to work outside of regular office hours when needed.
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Our fundraising team raises vital income to enable us to care for people with life limiting illnesses in our community. We do this through events, activities or other platforms to promote the Hospice out in the community and are passionate about providing an excellent supporter experience. What is the role?
The Fundraising Coordinator will be an integral part of the fundraising team, providing excellent administrative support for fundraising campaigns, events and in aid of fundraising. You will also be responsible for the administration of accurate supporter records and bookings, responding to enquiries and cultivating relationships with our supporters and volunteers. You will support the team to meet departmental targets and objectives to drive ongoing stewardship and supporter engagement.
Working as part of a small, busy team there will be opportunities for you to get involved with projects and initiatives outside of the day to day administration, helping to expand your knowledge and develop your skill set.

This role will see the successful candidate manage and develop a portfolio of successful national events. You will be involved in all aspects of the project management cycle from marketing and participant recruitment to supporter stewardship and race day logistics. About the role
Location: Derbyshire (community based) with some elements of home-working.
As a Dementia Adviser, you will provide person-centred and outcomes focused information, advice and support services to people affected by dementia and memory loss symptoms in Derbyshire. You will identify their needs and the services they may wish to access, support the improvement of their sense of wellbeing, putting them in more control of their lives.
You may need to work with a variety of other professionals, such as GP’s, memory clinic staff and other health and social care partners, and support may be provided in person, over the telephone, via virtual options or in writing. We aim to reach people affected by dementia from all communities and support their needs within their own community.
About you
We are looking to welcome an approachable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable individual who will focus on supporting people affected by Dementia across Derbyshire.

We are hiring! We have a job vacancy for a Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) / Dementia Coordinator.
Shine has a membership of over 13,500 members living with SpinaBifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,000 associated members.
In the last year we have seen a 25% increase in members who are living with NPH across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. There are currently just under 600 members with NPH, plus their carers registered, but we are expecting this to continue to rise as awareness and diagnosis of the condition grows.
We are looking for an experienced, skilled, organised and dedicated new staff member to join Shine’s Services team to develop and lead our new NPH service.
Job title: Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH)/ Dementia Coordinator

Staff management:
1. Shine is committed to providing quality advice and support. As service lead you will provide supervision, training, guidance and support in line with Shine’s HR processes and procedures to other members of staff who are involved in the delivery of work for the NPH service.
Project management:
1. Evaluate existing support for members living with NPH and their families/ carers within Shine
2. Develop and grow the service based on the needs and voice of our members
3. Lead the support of members living with NPH and their families/ carers across England, Wales & Northern Ireland
4. Develop annual work plans, which will enable continued development and delivery of the NPH service
5. Create a framework for the service and develop Shine colleagues to support delivery in key areas
6. To provide training to upskill colleagues in dementia
7. Create greater consistency across all Nations by developing strong working relationships with key colleagues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
8. Drive collaborative working with the National Programmes and Engagement Manager and the National roles – particularly Health and Benefits
9. To manage any specific project budgets, ensuring spend is planned, within budget and allocated to the appropriate cost centre
10. Maintain an oversight on data capture and data management for the work on NPH, alongside the Director of Services develop outcome measures to demonstrate impact

12. Identify new potential sources of funding as the project develops and contribute to funding bids as requested.

Delivery
To manage all enquiries from our members living with NPH and their carers, providing direct one to one support and advice including-
· Welfare benefit/ income maximisation advice
· Condition specific support to enable the person living with NPH to have choice and control over their current and future care needs.
· Signposting /referring to more specialist information and support, internally or to other local, regional or national organisations
You will also:
· In collaboration with Shine’s National Programmes & Membership Engagement Manager, Health and Services colleagues and external partners, lead the delivery of the NPH awareness week once a year
· Review existing and develop new resources for members with NPH alongside the Health team
· Develop and deliver an annual programme of events and peer support groups for members with NPH and their families and carers
· Oversee social media, Facebook and WhatsApp support groups
· Organise steering groups, providing opportunities for Shine members to guide the development of the service, and engage in consultations and research
· Develop partnership opportunities and closer working relationships with health professionals, statutory organisations and charities
· Identify key campaigns to improve the rights of members with NPH, improving access to statutory services, access to NHS care, awareness regarding diagnosis and treatment.

Person Specification
Experience – essential
· A minimum of 3 years' experience of working with older people living with dementia

· At least two years’ experience of delivering support and advice services for older people.

Who we’re looking for:
As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing The Brain Tumour Charity brand, devising new, and building on strong existing awareness campaigns and leading on capacity and marketing planning for integrated campaigns across The Charity.
You’ll help bring strategic thinking to the Marketing Team and be part of an Extended Leadership Team, balancing the needs of your own department with those of the wider mission and organisation whilst also supporting and developing your team.

Over the last six years CW+ has grown its fundraising programme extensively and is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join their team at a crucial stage in their Thirty at Thirty major appeal – its ambitious programme to raise £30m to celebrate the Trust’s 30th birthday. This will be the largest fundraising drive in the charity’s history and a successful, effective team will be central to its success.
The role will be responsible for cultivating and securing gifts from existing and new high-value donors, with a focus on securing five and six figure donations.
