Overall Purpose of the Head of Research

The Philanthropy and Trusts Manager is an exciting new role at Guts UK and will be integral to delivering our new fundraising strategy, enabling us to grow our income to meet our ambitious strategic aims.

Research Manager

The General Medical Council are currently looking for a Research Manager to work in our Data, Research and Insight Hub, the Research Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and ensuring the delivery of key individual research projects as part of the GMC's research programme. Delivered by a small team of research managers, the research programme provides the GMC with crucial intelligence and insight to inform our policy development and decision-making. We do not fund or undertake medical research and you don't need previous medical experience.

Summary of the role

• Although the majority of the research programme is commissioned, a significant minority of projects are undertaken in-house and research managers will be expected to deliver both types of project.
• We are not looking for advanced expertise in particular methods, but rather for sound general knowledge and experience of a range of research methods.

Role Overview

As a member of the Supporter Engagement Team no two days will be the same. You will be essential in helping us improve the lives of those living with Crohn's and Colitis by offering fantastic supporter service and ensuring our members and fundraisers feel valued and keen to continue to support!

The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in achieving this. By taking a lead in the day to day management of the income processing and membership arm of the team ensuring all income is processed quickly and accurately and supporters are thanked efficiently.

About You

You will have experience of working in a similar role, providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment, handling supporter queries and providing information in a concise and comprehensive manner.

You will be experienced in supervising staff or volunteers and be an effective and approachable networker with a proved track record of building excellent relations with all stakeholders, using high levels of tact and sensitivity when needed.

You'll need strong written and verbal skills and the ability to adapt your style depending on the audience. You'll also be effective at managing challenging situations and competing priorities.

You will also have experience of working with databases to produce reports and insights, as well as the managing the handling of cash and finance processes.

Job Purpose: 

The Head of Brand and Content plays a lead role in managing the brand, overseeing the production of content, coordinating content across all channels and ensuring that it follows MSF’s objectives in terms of operations, fundraising, advocacy and recruitment.

*you will start at our entry point salary of £39,717 per annum, increasing to £42,199 after 6 months service and satisfactory performance and to £44,681 after a further 6 months.

With a new UK government, elections upcoming in Scotland and Wales, a new MS Society strategy in the wings for 2025, it’s an exciting time to join our campaigns team as we look to take our campaigning up a gear.

Whether it’s about making sure people access ground-breaking treatments, tackling the poverty people face when living with MS, or making sure the right support is there when people need it most, as our campaigns manager you’ll be leading a team to empower, inspire and mobilise our community to become change-makers.

An exciting position has arisen for a Senior Events Officer to join a renowned London based Charity supporting people with terminal illnesses

The successful post holder will be responsible for the driving of events through the development and delivery of the annual calendar for the Charity

Job Responsibilities:

• With support from the Community & Events Manager, organise and lead on the successful delivery of the annual hospice fundraising event programme
• Research, plan and implement new events to diversify the annual programme
• Proactively seek and maintain new relationships to enhance our events
• Conduct presentations and hospice tours to engage supporters and partners
• Prepare feasibility studies, budget and action plans for all events
• Undertake post event data analysis and evaluation for every event, reporting against KPIs, income breakdown, costs against budget

Person Specification:

• Understanding and enthusiasm towards charity fundraising events
• Considerable experience of event management to recruit, engage, inspire and retain supporters
• Excellent time management and organisation skills, working to deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a fluent writing style and the ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of media and audiences
• The ability to be a proactive self-starter and to use initiative to resolve problems and create solutions to improve results
