Sonrise Services International is a Charity that supports Christian workers in the UK and throughout Europe. The Facility Manager will be an integral part of a team that is dedicated to the training experience of Christian workers around the globe.The Facility Manager will provide part-time maintenance support for the building, grounds, guest house, properties, and overall functions of our training centre located in Redhill.

As the Facility Manager, you will work with a Logistics Team that serves the Redhill Global Training Centre, a place for enrichment and training in Christian Ministry. The Facility Manager will also be available to tend the guesthouses and other Sonrise Services properties as needed. We’re looking for someone to manage our Advocacy & Media team for a year. We need someone with the relevant skills and the ability to take on information quickly and start leading the team’s work.

We have our own advocacy projects in Westminster and Holyrood, as well as working in coalition with other organisations on issues such as climate justice and human rights. The team manages our media and social media communications and our relationships with other churches and faith groups.

This is a full-time, 13-month maternity cover contract starting mid-September 2024. You will be based at Friends House, London (NW1); London-based staff can work at home some of the time by agreement.

Liturgy & Music Co-ordinator

We are looking for an administrator with a broad understanding of, and keen interest in, music.

This is a part-time role offering flexible working opportunities.

The Role

The Liturgy and Music Co-ordinator role has a variety of responsibilities including, amongst other things:

• Assisting with arrangements for services and concerts taking place in the Cathedral
• Administering the visiting choirs programme and the lunchtime concert series
• Acting as the first point of contact for booking courses
• Events and life events
• Managing internal printing machines in liaison with external contractors
• Undertaking essential administration relating to the Cathedral College of Canons and Electoral/Community Rolls.

About You

It's a busy role and we are seeking someone who has Intermediate Microsoft skills, is able to use Microsoft Access confidently and has a broad understanding of, and keen interest in, music. If you have previous administrative experience and have previously worked or volunteered in a Cathedral or church setting that would be helpful but not essential, as would a passion for working in our unique historic site.

Introduction to the role

We are seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Co-Directors and senior management team on a part-time basis.

This is a key role in the team and is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation and our activities.

This is an in-office role; working from our beautiful building in Liverpool Street.

Salary and working hours: Part-time 2.5 - 3 days per week, £30,000 pro rata.

Location: On site, St Ethelburga's Centre, City of London

Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Support:

• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the Co-Directors.

• Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.

2. Meeting Coordination:

• Organise and coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.

• Arrange logistics for board meetings, staff meetings, and other key events

3. HR and Governance Support:

• Support HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining employee records.

• Assist with employee communications, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.

• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures.

4. Research and Reporting:

• Conduct research on various topics relevant to the Centre's mission and activities.

• Prepare reports, summaries, and briefing materials for the Co-Directors and senior management team.

5. Funding Applications:

Assist in the research, preparation and submission of funding applications and grant proposals.

• Support fundraising campaigns and events, including coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and liaising with donors and sponsors.

6. Project Management:

Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and initiatives as directed by the Co-Directors.

• Track progress on various projects, ensuring deadlines are met and milestones achieved.

• Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role.

• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Able to work fast and to deadlines.

• Cheerful and optimistic, with a positive attitude and problem solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will also play a critical role in broader strategic decision making, supporting, and advising the Diocesan Secretary in leading the Diocesan Board of Finance.
