RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Managing, developing and evaluating hyh’s corporate fundraising strategy to deliver a minimum income target of £135k in 2025/26, focusing on supporting existing partners and developing new corporate support on behalf of hyh.
Working alongside the wider Fundraising & Marketing Team to support with income growth across all fundraising streams, helping hyh to achieve its overall fundraising target in order to maximise the support the charity can provide to young people facing homelessness in Hertfordshire.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
- Manage a portfolio of existing corporate accounts, understanding CSR/ESG requirements, providing exceptional supporter care and delivering successful partnerships
- Proactively attend networking events in order to build relationships and develop new corporate partnerships
- Manage the onboarding and stewardship of all new corporate partners with the aim of developing multi-year partnerships
- Update donor contact databases and website

ABOUT THE DEPUTY MANAGER ROLE
This is an exciting new opportunity as we expand our services in the Luton area with a new service, we are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to play a vital role in leading and supporting the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services to residents and participants. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will help shape a psychologically informed environment that promotes recovery, rehabilitation, and reablement. This is a leadership role where you will empower and develop frontline staff, ensuring services meet and exceed expectations.
This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. The service will engage with women who are sexually exploited and are facing homelessness due to multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical or ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and who are engaging in survival sex or sex work, enduring high levels of violence and coercion. These are women who often find themselves repeatedly going through the accommodation pathway and have exhausted all other available options.
Shift/Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Shift patterns to be confirmed but may include Monday to Sunday working including evenings and bank holidays. You will also take part in our out of hours on call duty for managers.
Salary: £27,200
What are we looking for from a Deputy Service Manager?
- Due to the nature of this service and there being an occupational requirement, we are only able to employ female workers - the post is therefore exempt from the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 in terms of Schedule 9, Part 1, and Paragraph 1 of the Act.
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, desirable is the understanding of the challenges the women face within this service
- Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
- IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
- Understanding and/or practical knowledge of the social and societal marginalisation that can be attached to people with mental health issues, addiction, exploitation, homelessness and within the criminal justice system

The Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS) is a Home Office-funded organisation working to increase awareness of the risks of strangulation, develop a research evidence base, and improve responses to victims and survivors. About Strength & Stem
Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. We achieve our vision by offering an evidence-based, holistic programme. It incorporates tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. We run a nine-month programme each year, as well as alumni events and social cafes. The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programme create a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community.
The charity is growing its programme delivery team by recruiting a second Progress Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a small, ambitious team, continually ensuring that our services are survivor-centred and have an impact positively disproportionate to the organisations’ age and stage of development.
Role Summary
The Progress Facilitator will provide specialist support to participants throughout all aspects of the core Strength & Stem programme. Under the supervision of the Programme Director, the Progress Facilitator will have responsibility for the progression, support, and safeguarding of our programme participants. Alongside the programme delivery team, you will ensure every participant has a safe and positive overall programme experience. This role will involve working directly with survivors, as well as a wide range of stakeholders from supporting organisations to florists, volunteers, and the programme delivery team.
Terms

- Role title: Progress Facilitator
- Responsible to: Interim Programme Director
- Hours: 0.5 FTE (2.5 days or 18.75 hours per week). This is a fixed-term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension and increased hours (funding dependent).
- Salary: £29,120 pro rata (£14,560 per annum at 0.5 FTE). Reasonable programme-related travel expenses will be covered (this does not include accommodation).
- Based: This is a hybrid role. You will be required to attend all programme related activities and facilitate work experience placements in person. The workshops take place in London near King’s Cross and the work experience placements are currently in London and Windsor. There may be occasions where evenings or weekends are required but these are not often. You may also need to be available in London for ad-hoc meetings that require in person attendance.

About the role
In partnership with Gateshead Council, Sustrans is opening an Active Travel Hub at Birtley library. This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans and support people in Gateshead to walk, cycle, and wheel, by providing practical, impactful support.
As the Project Support Officer, you will work with the Project Coordinator and Project Officer to provide support on a variety of projects that promote active travel in communities, workplaces and educational settings. You will also support the recruitment and development of volunteers in the area.
This varied role will see you working in partnership with local authorities, community groups and schools around the region along with volunteers and third-sector organisations to increase walking wheeling and cycling activities and commutes, and increase levels of public health and well-being.

This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions. This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.
About The Role:
Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role. You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough.

Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind deliver services in West London College through our Wellbeing Team. Working with all ages attending college in either Hammersmith and Fulham or Ealing, the wellbeing advisor will be an integral part of the Children and Young People’s Service within a key Mental Health Charity working in 3 boroughs in West London.
This role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Learning Mentor, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT, or other roles that have given you experience and skills in working with children and young people presenting with difficulties related to their mental health.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide practical mental health focused short-term case work to young people, through 1:1 face to face appointments
- To signpost students for further support as and when necessary
- To manage a busy case load
- To raise safeguarding alerts and work with partners to ensure that young people are effectively safeguarded
- To develop and deliver workshops, campaigns and training for young people, educational staff and youth workers about mental health (on occasion)
- To support other Youth Services service delivery, when required
- To support the development of new tools, materials and services
- To maintain and nurture a positive working relationship with partners
- To ensure service delivery targets are on track
- To monitor the wellbeing of young people and evaluate the effectiveness of the service
- To provide information for quarterly monitoring reports to funders
- To keep administrative processes, client databases and client records up to date
You will have:
- Minimum two years’ experience of working with people with mental health issues
- Experience in delivering 1:1 practical support sessions and managing a complex case load
- Working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding
- Experience of working with young people
- Ability to write high-quality reports and case-notes and develop clear resources for a wide range of audiences

You will also directly advocate or represent clients with third parties. You will have all the same skills necessary for the adviser role but you will very likely have a background in advice work and also need some experience of the disciplines and requirements of delviering casework.
