A critical aspect to this is ensuring all the administration required from point of enquiry through to delivery is carried out accurately whilst meeting key deadlines. 

You will support different aspects of the customer journey and support with relevant processes including distribution of enquiries, keeping our in-house systems updated and supporting with Associate and National Trainer matching, ensuring all administration relating to these processes are completed effectively and within deadlines set.

Titchwell Marsh is a wetland site abundant in a variety of wildlife including passage and migrant birds. Sitting on the East Atlantic Flyway, Titchwell is an important service station for species moving between Arctic breeding grounds and overwintering grounds in Southern Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, it is known for other biodiversity including invertebrates and small mammals. Titchwell Marsh is a busy visitor destination, popular all year round with bird watchers, nature lovers and people wanting a quiet ‘get away’ from city life.

Our other reserve at Snettisham is a globally important estuarine habitat and is well known for its two nature spectacles, the dawn flights of Pink-footed Geese in winter and the whirling wader spectacles in late summer and Autumn. This wild landscape is unstaffed with minimal development to retain its natural appeal. In addition to being a hot spot for tens of thousands of waders, it is also an important site for ground nesting birds and is part of a conservation project to protect nesting Ringed Plovers.

We're looking for a team player with excellent people skills combined with a passion for connecting people with nature. Working at Titchwell Marsh reserve, you'll be providing a unique and fascinating visitor experience inspiring our visitors to support nature conservation now and in the future. This role is fundamental in ensuring we have the highest quality of visitor experience for both new and existing audiences.

You will be working with the Visitor Experience Manager and volunteers to ensure a coherent visitor offer is delivered whilst also working with the HQ team to ensure the highest quality of RSPB visitor experience.

Purpose of the Job 

Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind deliver a range of services for children and young people from 5+. We have two Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), and some specialist inclusion, community, creative and partnership work. We are looking for someone to look after and manage our programmes that support inclusion for children, young people and families throughout our boroughs for a one year maternity cover (depending on start date).  You will ensure that our specialist inclusion services continue to grow and work to support the development of new inclusion programmes. Children and young people with special educational needs, neurodiversity and disabilities will continue to be the priority for this role, and you will work closely with our existing services to ensure they meet the additional needs of the communities we serve.

Job Summary

The role includes:

• Line management to specialist ASC/LD practitioners; assistant psychologists and music/creative based programme team
• Support the wider team and organisation to ensure all provision is inclusive and meets additional needs
• Develop our SEND and inclusion programme within the MHST, and throughout CYP Services
• Overseeing and developing our trauma-informed approach to work
• Build and hold relationships with the Local Authority (in particular Hammersmith and Fulham), local schools (especially SEND and alternative provision) and communities who may not access mental health services.
• Tailor services to reach young people who may be disengaged from school, have specific additional needs or diagnoses.
• Liaise with commissioners within the NHS and other funders

Person specification:

Knowledge & Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience of supporting young people with a variety of needs, including neurodiversity or learning disabilities, ideally within a mental health context
• A related professional qualification and registration (but please consider applying without this qualification if you have extensive experience)
•  At least 2 years’ of management experience within a relevant service
• Detailed understanding of the mental health needs of children and young people from a range of under-served communities
• Experience of working on (ideally managing) a commissioned service within a Third Sector Organisation

Every day millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, and none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us - we will all need social care at some point in our lives. 

We all have a right to hold public bodies to account, but most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 92% drop in legal aid cases since 2010 means that we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken. 

What we do 

Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it. 

With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers provide access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded and we all get the support we need. 

We provide rights awareness training to front line managers, and legal advice and support to families and individuals. As well as providing access to justice, our aim is to drive system level change through evidence-led influencing and strategic casework.

You’ll also manage the Legacy Case Team inbox, supporting case handlers by allocating new cases in line with policy. You'll continue to expand your knowledge, staying up to date with changes in probate, legislation, and best practices to contribute to the ongoing success of the Legacy team.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year-round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

This role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This is a new role which would suit someone with experience of recruiting and managing volunteers. The role will entail expanding our volunteer base, developing processes and procedures to effectively support them and managing them on site. The role will report to the Senior Project Worker.

This role will predominantly be working from our Day Centre but will also include work with night shelter clients.

Within the Day Centre you will be required to provide advice and advocacy and casework to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness and maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way. 

To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This role is suited to someone with a problem solving, positive attitude, who is passionate about supporting marginalised people.   

About the role

We are delighted to have received three-year funding from the Aviva Foundation to fund this brand-new Grants Officer role based in London.

You’ll be part of our Programmes team supporting kinship carers in London to access grants which will help reduce financial stress. This could be grants to buy things like white goods and uniforms or accessing Buttle grants to support children growing up in kinship care.

As Grants Officer you’ll talk to kinship carers, discuss their needs, their priorities and then write charitable grant applications on their and their family’s behalf. 

You will oversee and deliver the grants process, including co-ordinating the purchase of items (such as children’s clothes, beds or washing machines), collecting receipts for items as required by the funders and liaising with all teams to ensure timely receipt of funds within the charity and to the kinship carers.

Building relationships with funders is core, sharing the impact of the grants and insight about the lives of kinship families in London. You’ll work closely with Programmes, Peer Support, Training and Advice colleagues who work with kinship families in London.

You will also create and run online and face-to-face workshops and clinics, helping kinship carers to understand how to apply for other grants, thereby encouraging resilience and confidence to apply for grants themselves.

You will be a proactive and persuasive relationship builder, able to create partnerships with a range of organisations and peer support groups that support kinship families.

You’ll build trusting and respectful relationships with kinship carers who you will work one-to-one with in community settings. And you’ll build relationships with a range of grant giving organisations across London.

We’re looking for someone who can really deliver impact and demonstrate how embedding this role into the community helps to unlock funding and support for kinship carers at a local level.

Kinship carers are at the heart of all we do. This role could be the difference between a kinship carer being able to dress their child for school properly, being able to buy a fridge, take a first holiday to the seaside… or going without.

We are looking for someone who is really organised and who is able to capture and present information clearly in a persuasive grant application. The successful applicant will be compassionate, empathetic, and organised. We are looking for someone who understands the needs of kinship families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering our new grants service across London.
• Meeting performance targets and KPIs as directed.
• Working with kinship carers and their families across London to gather information to complete and submit grant applications.
• Administering grants we secure for our kinship carers and carry out all the necessary administration related to grants.
• Undertaking research to identify funders and build excellent relationships with local grant making charities in order to increase support for kinship families.
• Delivering grant workshops at peer support groups sharing information about locally available grants and providing advice and support on making a successful application.
• Running face-to-face grant clinics within peer support groups or community venues in London, working directly with kinship carers to write and submit requests for grants.

Essential criteria includes:

• Experience of speaking to vulnerable people on the telephone, face-to-face and online, and gathering information with empathy and understanding.

Job Title: Recovery Worker (Night Shifts)

Location: In service based in Camberwell, SE5 7HQ (Queens Road Peckham is a 23 minute walk or a 13 minute ride on the 36, 136, 171 and 436 and Elephant and Castle station is a 8 minute ride on the 343) 

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Sunday on a rolling rota which covers 21:00 - 08:00. Rotas will typically be 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, then 2 nights off. Bank holiday working permitted if rota falls on this day. You may also be required to work flexibly in the week to attend day meetings and training sessions.

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team which aims to deliver support to male residents aged between 18 and 65. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a residential setting to our residents who have mental health issues, often alongside drug and alcohol dependencies. You will provide tailored support to help our residents to improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. The service offers our residents two years supported living with 24 hour medium to high levels of support to help residents maintain stability in the community and reduce hospital admissions. 

You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.

The role further includes:

• Supporting residents with taking their correct medication
• Carrying out various welfare checks on residents during the night
• Health and safety tasks, including reporting repairs and maintenance
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Plan and deliver various activities within the service to gain a sense of community and belonging which could include movie nights, cooking nights, and game nights. You are welcome to bring your own ideas to bring residents together to achieve positive outcomes.

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health, and have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. Position Overview: 

 As the Global Impact Associate, you play a crucial role in contributing to the organization's overall effectiveness. Job Title: Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker

Location: In service based in Catford across two sites (SE6 2QB & SE6 3BE)

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours a week over a rota which can include 12.5 hour shifts (including breaks) Monday to Sunday (Including weekends, and bank holidays) 08:00 - 20:30. We also have a night rota between 20:00 - 08:30 which is not a part of this role but desirable if there is flexibility around working patterns

About the role

We are looking for a Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to work within our Integrated Community Rehabilitation Service which provides rehabilitation support to residents who face challenges with their mental health, and have been discharged from acute mental health wards to start structured rehabilitation support for 9 months in the community. You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living. This is not a personal care role, but is a role to rehabilitate and empower our residents towards independent living.

The role further includes:

• Supporting residents with taking their correct medication
• Carrying out various health and safety tasks, including reporting repairs and maintenance
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Plan and deliver various activities which includes within the service and outside in the local community. This can include days out to museums and other areas of interest by our residents
• Carrying out housing management support including welfare benefits support

The service works closely with a dedicated clinical team provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM). The clinical team includes an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, and Psychiatrist, complimented by a Substance Misuse/Dual Diagnosis worker in our internal team. The Rehabilitation service works with adults aged between 18 and 65, from Croydon, Lewisham, and Southwark. You will be part of a service which offers 24 hour support across 2 buildings in Catford.

Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive;

• To have full responsibility for the organisation and supervision of the school and extended services as an examination centre, ensuring adequate security and the adherence to appropriate examination board regulations and routines.
• To timetable all external and internal examinations.  
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of entries to examination bodies.
• To oversee correspondence with curriculum areas and examination boards.
• Deliver training on invigilation and facilitation of access arrangements.
