Supporting members experiencing financial and emotional difficulties, they provide confidential advice and support services for members and their dependants, who may otherwise have nowhere else to turn. Due to an increase in grant applications, for their winter essentials programme, they are now looking for a full time (35 hours per week) Grants Administrator to join them, on a temporary basis, starting on Monday 6th January for a duration of between 10-12 weeks.
As a Grants Administrator you will work within the Casework team, providing support to members who are in financial difficulty or need advice and guidance, and/or signposting to other organisations. Due to an increase in grant applications, leading to a large backlog of claims, you will assist the team in reducing turnaround times, whilst managing your own individual caseload. The focus of the role will be assessing grant applications from members using an eligibility criteria, based on receipt of various benefits, as well as a variety of administration tasks.
To be considered for this role, you should have experience in a similar position, such as in grant giving, information, or advice services. Strong administrative skills are essential, and you should be able to organise and plan your workload effectively to deliver quality services. Candidates with knowledge of benefits and the use of eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including confidence with SharePoint, is required.
You will be required onsite (Kings Cross/Euston), 5 days per week (Monday-Friday) during the onboarding period and after this a hybrid working model will be considered, if all is working well with picking the role up, and able to work independently. An Outreach Practitioner is required to work on a part time contract for a drug and alcohol charity based in Wokingham.
The role is working 21-28 hours per week, providing support to clients who are unable to access the service.

Butterfly Service is looking for a part time (21 hours) Family Support Worker to work in our Butterfly service. The post is to cover Maternity leave up to August 2025.
For the past 19 years, the Butterfly service has provided family support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families who are living in the city of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire areas. We are looking for three Support Workers to join our client's Homeless Assessment hub in central London! In this role you will be supporting clients at the assessment hub, readying them for move on and helping clients to obtain longer term accommodation. The service supports clients who have been referred by the local authority and outreach teams. The aim is to assess clients, provide support for their needs and find accommodation for them within a 28-day period. This is not always possible due to the complex nature of move on, but the service plays a pivotal role in the lives of many homeless people.

Charity People are thrilled to be recruiting for a large and prestigious organisation to help strategically drive their fundraising, particularly philanthropy. The is a critical role in the organisation to ensure that philanthropic income is implemented in line with donor expectations and ensuring any obligations are stipulated in gift and grant agreements. The Philanthropy Implementation Manager will play an active role in developing and delivering gift implementation improvement projects, acting as a pivotal person between fundraising and finance teams across the organisation. The role is key to ensure that fundraisers are securing gifts in line with departmental policies. The role will also have a particular focus on programme management, ensuring that gifts are advertised and implemented.
The successful postholder will quickly build strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders that will support the work of Fundraising and Supporter Development team, supporting fundraisers working in Major Gifts, whilst not directly involved in the work, you will be able to provide advice and guidance to staff working within these income streams, as well as work with the Business Support Officer to support the management of securing philanthropic gifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with fundraisers and colleagues in the Supporter Operations and Donor Relations teams, to ensure that philanthropic gifts are correctly implemented in line with the donor's expectations and the terms of their gift agreements.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to ensure the funding is used correctly and pledge payments are fulfilled.
- Design complex gift implementation strategies.
- Develop and monitor systems that ensure fundraiser compliance with policies and procedures relating to the implementation of donations. This will also include supporting the Philanthropy Team in monitoring gifts in stewardship, highlighting any gifts requiring re-solicitation.
- Use relationship management techniques to ensure that the relevant stakeholders are notified of any changes or delays to gift implementation. For example, capital builds, recruitment of key posts, progress in research projects.
- Support the Philanthropy Team and wider Directorate in managing business processes, developing processes, and review of key gift documentation, that will support future implementation of philanthropic donations.
You will bring:
- Ability to work independently and to prioritise work effectively and accurately within a regular schedule of tight deadlines
- Experience of designing and implementing new policies or procedures
- Experience of donation administration
- Ability to quickly build effective working relationships

The Age Dispute work sits within the Youth Casework team, and we seek to deepen the impact by supporting more children and young people now dispersed across England and who are wrongly age assessed of assumed as over 18 by the Home Office and/or by the local authorities.
About the role
As an Age Disputes Casework Adviser, you will bring your expertise to provide specialist casework to challenge incorrect age assessments, use experience to deal and prioritise high risk cases, work with various stakeholders including legal representatives, statutory agencies, and collaborate with others in sector to develop, learn and share best practice resources in casework provision.
You will maintain an understanding of the changing practice in relation to age assessments in particular and the wider policy landscape, work with colleagues in the Youth Services and in consultation with the Youth Services Manager, liaise with other relevant Refugee Council teams, including advocacy, practice development, youth involvement, In-Form to use casework evidence to address inequities in policy and practice.
This role is fixed term until 31/03/2027.
Based within the Youth Services of the Refugee Council, the Age Disputes Casework Adviser will be responsible for:
- Working with children and young people to understand their experiences and needs.
- Working closely with other Age Disputes Casework Advisers and the Youth Services Manager to identify and review high risk and complex cases that need prioritising and create effective internal case triage and allocation systems.
- Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the needs of young people with disputed age are recognised and met.
- Identifying age assessment policy and practice issues impacting on the lives of separated children for possible action via strategic litigation with legal representatives and advocacy colleagues.
- Maintaining expert casework knowledge and understanding of the environment and barriers that separated children seeking asylum face in with regards to the assessment of their age, and issues related to access to high quality information, advice and legal representation on immigration, asylum and welfare, and always learning and sharing the knowledge with others.
Main duties and responsibilities
Working with young people
- Work in the best interests of all separated young people who are wrongly age assessed and referred unto our service.
- Manage a high volume of referrals from internal colleagues and professionals effectively, and work with Youth Services Manager to identify high risk cases, decide eligibility and priority criteria, and providing timely, helpful, and legally accurate responses at all times.
- Manage their own complex caseload, primarily age dispute related (appropriate assessments, litigation, and appeals) and support on a range of welfare matters including health, education, and community care issues.
