The Domestic Abuse Marginalised Communities Worker will provide support and interventions to those affected by domestic abuse to empower and support and break the cycle of domestic abuse throughout their journey with Stop Domestic Abuse, regardless of risk. The Navigator will be committed to family work and proactively work to recognise and implement solution focused actions to ensure eradicate domestic abuse from families lives.
The Domestic Abuse Marginalised Communities Worker will provide additional expertise to the wider team and enrich the service with specialist knowledge and guidance relating to victims who may experience additional barriers to accessing support from our service due to their ethnicity. The Lead Navigator will develop initiatives, workshops and training packages for both internal and external professionals. The role will encompass peer to peer support, direct one-to-one support to victims who may be at medium or high risk of harm, whilst also engaging with communities and local organisations in the local area to improve our response to domestic abuse. This role does not involve the line management of staff.
The Portsmouth Service operates as one team, and all staff are responsible for taking referrals for all aspects of the service, offering immediate support, advice and assessments to clients or people contacting the service, welcoming families into refuge and completing relevant paperwork, and ensuring the smooth running of the service. This will include providing cover when required for absent colleagues to ensure that the core functions of the service are delivered and responding to changing demand in service provision. The Portsmouth Service is a team committed to whole family work, when safe to do safe, creating a family journey through the service.
The Portsmouth Service is staffed 9am-9pm Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. This role’s working pattern will fall within the hours of 9am-5pm Monday- Friday.
It is essential that the postholder has a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes as this role covers multiple sites in Portsmouth.

About the role
This senior role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC, particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Policy and Practice Change team. Through systematic and efficient management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial and operational sustainability.
The role will oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through oversight and line management of finance, operations and administrative staff. The post holder will support the Managing Director of Legal Practice and Children's Rights and department heads in the successful running of our services. Where appropriate they will deputise for the Managing Director on financial, operational and compliance matters.
Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for specialist financial functions within CCLC, particularly legal aid billing. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who focus on grant fund management and overall accounting for CCLC.
The role would suit a highly organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, are welcomed. However, we recognise that this is a highly specialised and niche field. As such, candidates with broad operational and financial management experience but a strong aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems will be considered.
This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel.
Whilst this is a full-time position, we will consider requests for part-time working and we will endeavour to offer some flexibility with days and hours to be agreed.

Job Description
Business Operations/Charity Management
- Working with SMT colleagues and the CEO, help to develop the strategic plans for the charity and be collectively responsible for their successful delivery.
- Contribute to the setting of the charities’ annual budgets and to manage the budgets for their areas of responsibility.
- Develop and manage systems to ensure that consulting work and other paid activities are managed efficiently, ensuring full-cost recovery for such services.
- Deputise for the CEO and/or Secretary during periods of absence.
- Attend board meetings and sub-committee meetings as appropriate.
- Prepare verbal and written updates for the board on key activities in their areas of responsibility.
- In conjunction with the CEO & Secretary arrange board meeting venues and agendas, ensure that the board are provided with all necessary papers for meeting..
- Manage contracts and tenders to ensure that major projects are awarded in a fair and transparent way to the bidder who offers the best combination of value for money and ability to achieve the desired outcome.
- Monitor ongoing contracts to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.

Human Resources
- Manage HR including liaison with our external HR consultants.
- Keep abreast of developments in HR in general, and the charity sector in particular through external awareness.
- Review, and where appropriate update, internal procedures and processes to ensure efficient running of the charities.
- Review, update and maintain the staff handbook and other relevant staff policy documents.
- Manage the recruitment process for new staff and onboarding of all newly appointed staff.

Estate Management
- Manage the charities’ office provision.
- Take the lead on an upcoming office relocation including sale of our current property and relocation to new office space.

- Liaise with our external IT consultants to ensure efficient running of IT systems.
- Ensure that all staff have appropriate IT and telecommunications equipment and software.
- Conduct an annual review of IT equipment and software provision.
- Ensure that all workstations including those used by homeworkers are adequate and comply with H&S regulations.
- Ensure that appropriate IT security provision is in place for all systems.
- Manage the ongoing digital transformation of the charities including implementation of new systems.
Skills/Competencies/Qualifications
Essential.
- Experience of management of an NGO/charity or similar organisation at a senior level.
- Experience of line management of staff including effective performance management.
- Experience of policy review and development, in particular HR, governance, risk and finance policy.
- A high level of digital literacy (including expertise with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive etc.).
- Working knowledge of charity finance (SORP), budget setting, accounting/book-keeping and reporting.
- Understanding of UK charity governance and reporting requirements (ideally including experience with charities registered in both England and Scotland).
- Demonstrable project management skills (ideally with experience of project management tools such as Clickup, Asana, Microsoft Tasks/Project etc.).

Personal Qualities
The candidate must be comfortable with the charities’ approach to animal welfare which includes co-operation with the livestock and slaughter industry, as well as laboratory animal researchers. Whilst both charities promote the highest standards of animal welfare, they do not oppose the use of animals by humans for research or food.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a small team, but also be confident to take the lead and work unsupervised when necessary. Since many people in the organisation work remotely, they should be comfortable communicating with colleagues using online tools.

Because the charities are based in the UK you must be legally entitled to work and reside in the UK. The successful candidate will be expected to reside in the UK whilst employed by the charities.

Join our team working on our flagship School Plates programme, driving healthier, more sustainable school menus with a focus on London and surrounding areas, alongside a supportive and dedicated team committed to creating positive change.
The programme continues to go from strength to strength. We’re currently supporting over a third of all local authorities in the UK that cater for over 7,600 schools, feeding over 1.25 million children every day. So far, we’ve been responsible for swapping over 37 million school meals from meat-based to meat-free or plant-based.
This role is focused on London and the South. We are already supporting over half of all local authorities in the capital. We are entering the final year of an ambitious three-year plan to be working with over 50% of all UK local authorities, influencing the meals for 2 million children daily by the end of 2025.

Responsibilities
- Broaden the reach of the School Plates programme across London and the South of England.
- Outreach to school caterers (primarily local authorities and contract caterers, but also multi-academy trusts and individual schools as needed) to engage new partners, and manage and develop these relationships.
- Work with the Awards Coordinator to review menus and deliver evidence-based advice to our catering partners, supporting them on their awards journey.
- Deliver Plant-based Cooking in Schools Workshops (in-person and online), including organising and promoting sessions, liaising with partners and attendees, delivering the sessions and collating feedback.
- Work closely with other Chef Trainers to plan and create ‘Plant-based Cooking in Schools’ online course content, including videos and learning materials.
- Contribute to ideas for new plant-based recipes for schools.
- Support our impact measurement work for ongoing programme evaluation, supporter communications, and funding proposals.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the school food landscape, structures of school food provision, and the nutritional guidelines for school food in England.
- Update and maintain an accurate database of activity with our partners.
- Represent ProVeg UK on calls, in meetings and at events, including some public speaking.
- Work closely with Communications Manager to produce engaging new content, including video content, for social media, and the website.
- Support the Programme Manager and Head of Programme with any other projects or tasks, as needed.

The Role
The Grants and Funding Manager will utilise Grant Finder and other resources to identify funding opportunities for BIAZA and its members and provide strategic advice on diversifying income streams.
Key Responsibilities
· Grant Research and Identification:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Salford CVS to support our grants and investment programmes.
We are looking to recruit a part-time (30 hours per week) Grants Development Worker on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
You will assist the Grants Manager and Grants Coordinator in the development and delivery of a large grants and investments programme (aimed at voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations and schools) in excess of £1.6m per year, largely focused on addressing health inequalities in the city of Salford. The role will be based in both the office and community settings. We currently operate a hybrid working model, which includes office days and working from home.

About you
You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities and with all stakeholders, including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge, as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support clients to make informed decisions.
