We have a fantastic new opportunity to join our Communities Team as a Community Asset Lead on a full time permanent basis.

This role will be based from our Basingstoke office, combining time in the office with working from home. There will be occasional travel across our geography, so you'll need access to transport and be happy to travel.

The starting salary is £36,000 - £42,000 depending on experience.

The Role

The Community Asset Lead will coordinate the identification, development and management of our community assets (community centres) across the SNG geography.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with key partner organisations, embedding SNG's community asset transfer policy and procedure, community foundation strategy and corporate plan. 

You'll work closely with our Social Enterprise and Community Investment and Partnership Leads to maximise social investment opportunities to enhance local community development, build capacity within key anchor organisations, and adopt an asset-based community development approach to sustainable delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with SNG's commercial property, asset management, legal and locality teams to enhance the operation and delivery of community assets
• Undertaking comprehensive asset mapping across the SNG geography to support the effective management of our community resources
• Facilitate payments to lease/licence holders where appropriate and manage the budget line effectively and appropriately.
• Develop, manage and capacity build community organisations to deliver programmes that support the needs and aspirations of the local community
• Represent SNG as a thought-leader and ambassador at events, meetings, networks and other promotional and external engagement opportunities.

What we need from you

You should have previous experience in Asset Management or Housing, managing and developing community assets within the context of community investment.

You'll also have:

• A proven track record of positive stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• A passion for community-orientated working
• Experience in asset documentation, leases and due diligence
• Excellent organisational and IT skills including databases and social media
• Strong operational management skills

SafeDeposits is Scotland’s leading tenancy deposit protection scheme and dispute resolution provider. As a not-for-profit, SafeDeposits donates surpluses generated to its charity, the SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust (“the Trust”). The Trust aims to improve standards in Scotland’s private rented sector by promoting education, training and best practice.

In addition to its grant-giving, the Trust is developing an ambitious research programme designed to inform future policy making and debate. This includes two new national representative surveys: “The Voice of the Tenant (Scotland)” and “The Voice of the Landlord (Scotland)”.

SafeDeposits and the Trust are part of the TDS [The Dispute Service Ltd] Group; a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee that operates equivalent deposit protection services across the UK and delivers a range of initiatives to raise standards in the private rented sector. 

We have a new opportunity within our Policy, Research and Strategy team to join them as a Research and Programme Officer.

This is a full-time, permanent position ideally based within commuting distance of our Glasgow office. However, we are open to considering home-based candidates from other areas of Scotland, depending on their skills and experience.

The purpose of this role is to deliver and support the expansion of SafeDeposits research programme. The successful candidate will work on qualitative and quantitative research projects and ensure findings are disseminated effectively. Our priority is to recruit an individual with the requisite research skills and experience. Where required, appropriate training and support will be provided for the aspects of the role involving coordination of the grant-giving programme. The role offers a unique opportunity for a researcher to not only contribute to the evidence base, but to also work with TDS and SafeDeposits colleagues to commission evidence-based solutions for positive change.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Working with external contractors to deliver the Voice of the Tenant (Scotland) and Voice of the Landlord (Scotland) surveys.
• Conduct, analyse, and report on qualitative and quantitative research projects.
• Lead research collaborations with other organizations and stakeholders.
• Develop content, including blogs and social media posts, to share research findings in collaboration with marketing.
• Represent SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust at internal and external events, including presentations and public speaking.
• Assess and monitor grant applications in collaboration with an external contractor.

To be considered for this opportunity you must:

• Have a degree in a relevant field
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in research, social policy, or a similar role (or equivalent postgraduate study).
• Be proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Have strong working knowledge of Excel for statistical analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrate an understanding of data validity and credibility.

About this role

We are looking for a motivated individual with an understanding of homelessness to fulfil this exciting role gathering people, exploring challenges and considering solutions related to temporary accommodation (TA).  The role will be responsible for pioneering, supporting and facilitating the delivery of a number of Temporary Accommodation Action Groups (TAAGs), primarily in the North West, that feed into national discussions and policy recommendations through Justlife’s campaigning work. Could this be you?

You will be comfortable leading cross-sector meetings and navigating conflicting priorities to move towards change. You will also be enthusiastic to represent an organisation which puts people with lived experience at the heart of everything they do. You will be a self-starter with great communications skills and a dedication to supporting people with current or lived experience to engage in the change making process.

We currently run TAAGs in London, Bristol, Brighton and across Sussex but this work is new to the North West. You will need to be a strong networker with lots of initiative. You will be able to sell the benefits of TAAGs to participants, and with the persistence to see through the establishment of these groups. The role requires a flexible, pro-active and open approach to work, working within Justlife’s values - People before Programmes, Collaboration before Competition and Innovation before Institutions.

We strongly believe in the power of collaborative working, and you will be joining a small team of network development workers working across the country. We are currently growing this team in order to not just increase the amount of network work we can do, but also with the aim of offering more support, share best practice and help make this change happen on a wider scale.

Job Summary

The Justlife Network Development Worker will have a desire to see systemic change for individuals and families experiencing temporary accommodation (TA) across the north and a commitment to doing so with the voice of lived experience at its heart. The TA situation across the country is acute and it is increasingly being recognised as the central issue of the housing crisis.

This role will involve working in partnership with local authorities, charities, accommodation providers and people who live in TA or have lived experience, to support and run a number of Temporary Accommodation Action Groups (TAAGs). While Justlife works in Manchester and has some existing work to build upon in Manchester, this role will be pro-actively involved in starting a TAAG in Manchester, as well as in other locations in the North-West. This role may also support and facilitate some or all the work of the Bristol TAAG. Over the contract period, the post holder will support TAAGs to test proposed solutions to local challenges of TA, continuity plan beyond Justlife’s support, and gather impact learning.

This will include coming alongside local organisations working with people in TA, building their connections and capacity to bring about change in the sector. The role will convene regular steering group meetings bringing partners together to share learning across the TAAGs and enabling the them to feed into national discussions and policy recommendations through Justlife’s campaigning work including the Households in Temporary Accommodation All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) and our Alliance.

The role will amplify the voices of those with lived experience of TA connecting them with others and enabling them to advocate, lobby and influence for meaningful change, positively impacting the circumstances of those living in TA, both in the areas where running TAAGs and nationally. This will be carried out working alongside existing lived experience forums providing a safe method of engagement, to actively promote the involvement of those with lived experience.

The role will gather good practice examples from the groups and the wider TA sector, monitor and evaluate the groups, report on their effectiveness and support continued learning within Justlife. Working alongside the wider Justlife team the role will consider solutions to the issues faced in TA that can be tested by Justlife or partner organisations.

This post is a fixed term contract, however Justlife is committed to the continued development of this work beyond June 2026, resource dependent.

The role will include:

• Work within the network and TAAGs team to support the existing work of TAAGs, including possibly taking on a leadership/facilitation role in Bristol.
• Explore the possibility for new TAAGs across the North West and get new TAAG groups started.
• Supporting TAAGs to work with existing lived experience forums locally in order to ensure effective and safe lived experience engagement in the TAAGs.

You will work towards ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. You will work collaboratively with your team and will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression.

Aids & Adaptations Officer
Based: Birmingham, B15 + Travel
Salary: £31,865 per annum

We want to make sure our tenants' home works for them; our aids and adaption service does just that by working with tenants who need their homes to be adapted to suit their needs. Join us as an Aids and Adaptations Officer and be part of the team supporting our tenants to live independently and comfortably in their home!

The Role

As an Aids and Adaptions Officer, you'll case manage aids and adaptations for new and existing tenants, from working with external services to secure access to medical assessments, to working with specialist teams to coordinate works and liaising with tenants throughout to ensure our tenants are provided with timely updates and their needs are met. You'll also oversee relocation cases, providing tailored housing advice and support to tenants requiring alternative accommodation. Utilising your communication skills and ability to build strong relationships, you'll liaise with internal teams and external services to ensure aids and adaption needs are met, driving a high level of tenant satisfaction.

Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Triage and respond to tenant enquiries related to aids and adaptations.
• Coordinating requests for aids and adaptations between internal teams and external agencies.
• Oversee relocation cases ensuring a smooth transition for tenants who require alternative accommodation.
• Develop and manage comprehensive reporting for aids and adaption cases.

Our ideal candidate? To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• A good understanding of aids and adaptations that can ensure tenants can sustain a tenancy – experience of coordinating an aids and adaptations service is preferred.
• Excellent experience of customer focussed service delivery.
• A demonstrable tracker record of effective communication with a range of internal and external customers both individually and collectively.

We are looking for someone to join the team on a permanent basis in our Supporter Care Administrator post, giving the opportunity to contribute to our fundraising goals and increase income to support St Mungo’s overall aims to end rough sleeping and homelessness for good.

Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will work alongside a small team to take responsibility for the delivery of a high standard of customer care and operational support that ensures our supporters are at the forefront of everything we do. In this role you will:

• Import and process financial data and maintain the fundraising supporter database.
• Provide excellent customer service while managing enquiries, donations and complaints by phone, post and email.
• Work as part of the team to provide relevant admin support and contribute to the development and maintenance of team processes.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for a proactive individual who can demonstrate relevant experience of customer or supporter care administration and experience of using CRM databases such as Raisers Edge.

You will have strong organisation skills, a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently and be able to prioritise a mixed workload. You will be a great communicator, able to build good relationships quickly with external supporters, internal stakeholders and have an interest in working collaboratively alongside a passionate team.

We are looking for a Service Improvement Officer to join our Tenant Insight team, playing a crucial role in identifying trends to help improve service delivery across Midland Heart's operations. This role is central to ensuring our Tenant's receive a first-class service, feel confident in Midland Heart and comfortable in their homes.

Your role will include supporting a variety of business areas in ensuring they are providing a high-quality service for our tenants. You will conduct thorough research and use data and trends to identify areas for improvement, collaborating with stakeholders to create action plans. You will also assist in the implementation of learning across the business, always with the aim to positively impact our Tenant's lives.

As the Green Care Regional Manager, you will be tasked with leading the Green Care teams across your region to ensure the provision and development of high-quality training and educational pathways, and nature-based activities for people with learning and other disabilities to create a sense of accomplishment, personal accountability, and self-confidence in acquiring and developing new skills, while promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging in a land-based community.

SMART CJS is seeking a skilled and experienced Trusts and Foundations Bid Writer to play a key role in generating income from charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of writing successful funding applications and identifying new opportunities that align with SMART’s strategic goals in tackling homelessness and supporting vulnerable individuals in Bedford and the surrounding area.

This is an exciting time to join SMART CJS as we grow and respond to new funding opportunities. The role is primarily home-based, so the successful candidate must be able to work independently and manage their time effectively. Given the nature of our work, personal resilience is also important, as some of the stories and case studies used in funding applications can be emotionally challenging. The role will come with realistic targets.

Main Purpose of the Role

To identify, write, and submit compelling, well-researched and tailored funding applications to trusts, foundations, and relevant grant-giving bodies. The post holder will work closely with the CEO, Head of Business, and operational teams to gather information, write bids, and track progress of submissions, ensuring SMART CJS meets income targets.
