Workplace details:
Whilst this role will be based at the Big Issue Group Head Office in Finsbury Park, the Group Marketing Team operates under a hybrid model - currently visiting the office every Thursday plus one other day each week at each individuals discretion and working the rest of the time from home. The successful candidate would be welcome to work in the office more frequently however if they desired.

Job Title: Enhanced Housing Officer

PRHA’s Support Teams are seeking three enthusiastic Enhanced Housing Officers to work with our amazing residents.
Providence Row Housing Association has been helping homeless people in East London since 1860. We provide social housing along with excellent services that aim to support homeless people with complex needs and enable their recovery. We remain committed to our East London roots and currently serve the communities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and the City of London.
Our Enhanced Housing Officers provide a housing service to hostel residents who find it difficult to maintain and sustain their accommodation. You will be working in partnership with a wide range of other services to ensure that our residents are motivated and supported through pre- and post- sign up, to claim benefits and grants, manage their accommodation, report repairs and complaints, access education, and develop financial skills.
Enhanced Housing Officers also conduct surveys of residents view and opinions, assist with audits and reporting on the service, help to ensure compliance with H&S regulation and best practice, and work with a Support Team which promotes person centred coproduced approaches.
You need to have experience of working with homeless people with complex needs, have a good understanding of housing management and Health and Safety regulation, be competent with computer systems, and comfortable completing regular performance reports. The Enhanced Housing Officers is a day shift based role with evening and weekend working. Depending on the service, you may also be required to do sleep-in shifts.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Guildford Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Coaching and Engagement
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
- Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).
Housing
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living.
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.
General
- Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
- Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
- Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice.

This role requires a strong commitment to making a meaningful impact, combining strategic oversight with empathetic, hands-on leadership to drive effective service delivery.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of complex issues effecting women including DV, VAWG, Mental Health, Women’s Health and Substance Misuse.
- Experience of, or a strong awareness and understanding of staff and service management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop the skills of both staff and service users, and to motivate and manage a quality service committed to achieving excellence.
- Understanding of Housing Management and compliance, especially in relation to License Agreements, Excluded License Agreements and Assured Shorthold Tenancies.
- Strong networking skills, and proven ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including those with statutory services, in order to establish or improve services to service users.
- The ability to respond calmly to crisis and deal promptly, effectively, safely and creatively to complex and challenging situations. Right now, we’re looking for a technical expert with experience of developing and maintaining ELT pipelines to move data between enterprise applications (a mix of both in-house and external and on-prem and in the cloud). Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for developing ETL processes using Fabric and Synapse linking from a variety of data sources to a wide variety of targets on-prem, cloud platforms and in Azure. We’ll also rely on you to ensure business requirements for new data feeds or changes are understood and translated into efficient and effective technical solutions. Exploring new ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data management across Shelter will be important too, as will transforming and centralising raw data from multiple platforms into user friendly reporting data. Writing, validating and executing test plans, troubleshooting performance issues and supporting Shelter’s wider data management initiatives – all are aspects of this interesting and varied role.

Our client, a Northwest based charity, provides accommodation and support to people who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes. They are looking for 3 temporary Supported Housing Workers to join their rapidly growing Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children service with the potential for longer term opportunities for the right candidate. Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, and are a mix between office and outreach to people in dispersed properties across Manchester.
Alongside the support from a dedicated team of leaders, you will be in control of your own calendar, booking home visits and support sessions with your customers, deciding at what point in the day you are going to complete your tasks. Our client wants to encourage flexibility and real-life working agreements.

The UASC Service is responsible for helping customers adult to their new life and transition into the community as smoothly as possible.

The candidate
- You have experience of supporting customers with complex needs / vulnerable people.
- The ability to develop effective working relationships and rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
- An understanding of homelessness and the challenges people may face.
- Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, involving other professionals to ensure positive outcomes for people.

In this role, you will manage a caseload of clients, many of whom have experienced homelessness, addiction, or involvement in the criminal justice system. You will provide tailored employability advice, one-to-one support, and deliver workshops aimed at helping clients develop the skills and confidence they need to rebuild their lives.
You’ll support with our LEAP project, providing a crucial stepping stone for clients in the early stages of recovery. By collaborating with partner agencies and working alongside our Peer Navigators, you’ll ensure clients receive the comprehensive support they need.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete initial assessments, risk assessments and risk management plans ensuring a high standard of case management.
- Work with a caseload of people who have experience of homelessness, addiction, and/or the criminal justice system that want to improve their chances at moving into training, education and employment.
- Provide employability advice and a range of interventions with the aim of supporting them to improve their employability, access training, volunteering, and move towards employment.
- Lead on and develop the Good Shepherd structured volunteering programme for people in early stages of their recovery journey.
- Work with Peer Navigators from our LEAP team to provide additional support.
- Signpost and make referrals to external agencies and build positive working relationships with partner agencies across the city.
- Deliver one to one’s, workshops and group sessions.
- Collect, collate, and interpret data that is required to report on the outcomes achieved through this work.
- Record and update service user activity in line with GS Confidentiality Policy.
- Maintain a high level of professional boundaries in line with GS Safeguarding Policy.
- Observe all Health and Safety regulations related to the role and comply with GS Policies and Procedures.
