Role Overview:
Reporting to the Deputy Head of Marketing, the PR and Comms Manager will be the storyteller for all things Enable!
They will execute a yearly PR plan for Enable’s charitable missions, as well as provide PR support for Enable’s varied service areas, including Events, Leisure, Putney School of Art and Design, Bereavement and many more. They will be responsible for Enable’s image externally as well as internally and responsible for holding the relationship with our key stakeholders. The role also involves supporting the preparation and writing of bids for new contracts to secure funding and expand our services.
This is the perfect role for a confident, outgoing and motivated person – and has a love for crafting stories using different media platforms, supporting and strategising charitable missions and communicating Enable’s mission, values and achievements internally and externally.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
PR
- Develop and manage integrated PR campaigns around key company products and moments.
- Write campaign plans, messaging, and create media-facing materials for Enable as a non-profit company, as long as individual service areas.
- Create compelling storytelling content to showcase the impact of our work through various platforms (Linkedin, Instagram)
- Build relationships with key media outlets and secure coverage.
- Be a point of contact for key media enquiries.
- Provide counsel to internal executives on PR challenges and opportunities.
Campaign Strategy
- Develop and execute a communications strategy to raise awareness of our Health and Wellbeing programs and Community Initiatives.
- Analyse communication campaign performance and refine strategies as needed.
- Support the development and writing of persuasive bids and funding proposals for new contracts and grants.
- Collaborate with program leads to gather data, case studies, and evidence to strengthen funding applications.
Communications – External and internal
- Managing the relationship with key stakeholders (for example Wandsworth Council), including chairing meetings, regular feedback and reporting.
- Lead on monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to key stakeholders and partners. Including Enable’s quarterly activity reports and yearly Impact Report.
- Supporting junior members of staff and providing strategic PR and communication support.
- Occasional weekend work at some of our events will be required.
Skills and Experience:
- 3 + years experience in a Public Relations, Communications or Marketing role
- Strong PR campaign management skills to develop and execute integrated campaigns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence to engage with and present to various internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing and storytelling abilities for crafting compelling narratives and media-facing materials
- Media relations expertise to build connections with journalists and secure coverage
- Strategic thinking to develop and refine communication campaigns that align with company goals

Post Award Manager

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations and Projects Officer will provide administrative support for the team. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the Foundation, helping to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Within operations, you’ll provide administrative support on everything from finance and HR to fundraising and supporter care.
As a member of the Stronger Communities team, you’ll also provide support for our work building less lonely, better connected communities across the UK, where everyone feels that they belong. This begins with our current lottery-funded Bridging & Belonging project in Kirklees. You’ll act as the main administrator for the project, supporting the Community Group and Yorkshire Programme Manager to lead the work.
This will include setting up meetings, liaising with community venues and services, managing enquiries, answering questions directly and getting responses from colleagues where necessary. There will also be occasional on the ground community-facing work supporting the Bridging and Belonging community group at local events in North Kirklees.

Our Gambling Outreach And Living Support service GOALS is our community-based support service that provides bespoke and holistic 1:1 and group support to individuals and affected other impacted by gambling harms.
Our aim is to deliver an impactful GOALS service across London which builds effective networks of support for people before, during and after treatment.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to engage with communities across London, delivering the GOALS service and raising awareness of gambling-related harm through in-person community engagement. The role involves building strong, effective networks of support for individuals before, during, and after treatment, with a particular focus on those with lived experience of gambling harm and its effects on others.
As a key member of the team, the GOALS Community Supporter will work directly with individuals impacted by gambling harm, providing one-on-one support in a safe and confidential environment. The role also involves proactive outreach within the community, collaborating with local authorities, public sector bodies, businesses, and charitable organisations to raise awareness of gambling harm and promote available services.

The post holder will also work closely with the GOALS Service Manager to ensure the integration of the service within the broader framework of local and national gambling treatment systems. This includes attending relevant events, networking with key stakeholders, and promoting other Betknowmore services to enhance the overall impact of the work.
Qualifications or Relevant Experience
- Two years minimum experience in a similar role.
- Professional qualification in health, social care/community at level 3 or working in health/social care/addiction.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of gambling-related harm and its impacts on individuals and communities.
- Ability to effectively communicate gambling harm prevention messages and raise awareness of the services available to those in need.
- Proven ability to engage with diverse communities and work collaboratively with local authorities, public sector bodies, and charitable organisations.
- Experience of promoting services through outreach, including attending events, conducting presentations, and engaging with key stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across various sectors, including local authorities, public health bodies, and charities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to safe working practices.
- A proactive and flexible approach to community outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Desirable Skills
- Experience liaising with statutory and voluntary organisations to develop community-based support services.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly those impacted by gambling harm.
- Lived experience of gambling harms, either directly or through supporting others, is desirable but not essential.
