Job description
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a HR Officer to join the HR Team.

You're likely to join us from a similar role and so you should have some prior experience of working in recruitment and contractual HR admin support. We're looking for someone who thrives on variety so it's important that you can handle multi-tasking within a fast-paced, process-focused environment. You'll join us at an exciting time when we’re implementing a new HR & Payroll digital system (MHR People First) which will transform the way we work, so you’ll need to be adaptable, flexible and able to grasp new ways of working.

You’ll have great communication skills too, whether that's over the phone or via email, as well as impressive attention to detail and the ability to take direction from others. If you also have plenty of self-motivation and excellent digital and IT-literacy, this is an incredibly rewarding place to bring your career.

The role is crucial to helping us optimise our operational effectiveness. That's going to involve making sure everyone understands our HR policies, procedures and processes. Specifically, we'll need you to provide administrative support for all new joiners, internal transfers and leavers, especially when it comes to pre-employment checks and inductions. As we improve our administrative processes and systems, there’ll also be the opportunity to enhance your involvement in other areas, such as supporting the delivery of HR training and other HR projects in the pipeline or getting some exposure into employee casework. It's that variety of generalist HR that makes this a brilliant place to work, grow your skills and make your mark.

How to apply:

Please submit an up-to-date CV and supporting statement. When writing your supporting statement, please refer to the person specification within the job description, and ensure you describe your relevant knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the role. Ideally, your CV and supporting statement should be in an editable format, such as Word, so we can anonymise your documents prior to the short-listing process. Please DO NOT include any personal details (name, address etc) on your supporting statement.

Closing date: Sunday 20 October 2024 at 11:59pm
Interview date: Thursday 7 November 2024

Please note that applications received after the closing deadline may not be considered. The Trust regrets that it is unable to give feedback on unsuccessful applications.

We are committed to creating a Movement that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone is able to be themselves and to reach their full potential. We want our people to flourish, just like nature.
