Job description

This is a UK based contract and as such, you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. Evidence of your Right to Work will be checked prior to interview.

 

As someone used to operating at a senior leadership level and who excels at securing and developing high value corporate partnerships in a commercial or charity setting, this is a unique opportunity to use your expertise to save our world. It is not too late to act, and you can play a pivotal role in bringing our world back to life by joining the world’s largest independent conservation organisation as Head of Partnership Development.

The success of our mission depends on developing innovative and game-changing partnerships that will tackle the critical threats facing our world. As Head of Partnership Development, you will lead a group of fantastic collaborators, strategic thinkers, successful fundraisers and results-driven team-players. As the lead, you will implement a partnership development strategy, identifying target companies, approaches, income diversification plans and compelling propositions for different sectors. Critically, you will develop the expertise and knowledge of your team and encourage the development of compelling pitches and high-quality proposals that align to corporate drivers. You will help them develop new partnerships that maximise impact for WWF and the fight for our planet. We will look to you to proactively build relationships with senior level colleagues at WWF and senior executive prospects as well onboarding new corporate partners. You will negotiate strong partnership terms and ensure comprehensive due diligence and risk analyses is conducted in the team. You will liaise with WWF Network Offices, representing WWF-UK interests and leveraging opportunities for global partnerships too.

 

For this senior leadership role, you will be of graduate calibre and have experience of developing long-term partnerships at a senior level in the commercial or charity sector. With a record of securing high value partnerships in the multi millions you will be proficient in proposal development, budgeting and contracting. Naturally warm and enthusiastic, you will be an exceptional networker at CEO and Director level and excel at building high-performing teams . You will also possess a strong network of corporate contacts in the sustainability and/or at a C suite level. Effective at presenting, you will be an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills too.

 

A background in a corporate fundraising role for an international NGO would be an advantage. Experience of working with finance, FMCG, food or tech sectors would also be desirable.
