Health Systems Research Manager
World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.
The candidate will lead on the MAPPS II study with oversight from the Head of Data & Evidence. MAPPS is a global research study that identifies and addresses the barriers and gaps in obesity care in health systems across countries. The in-depth knowledge and insight gained can be applied to inform policy reform and achieve global milestones – with the ultimate goal of improving access to obesity care for all.
MAPPS II is an enhancement, extension and update of our first MAPPS study (which was undertaken in 2018 -2019), that will span 3 years (2024 – 2027) and feed into global campaigns and upcoming global milestones. Key components of the project include research, convening, dissemination and coalition building.
Desired skills –
- An advanced university degree (Master's level or above) in a health-related field from an accredited/recognised institute.
- Experience in conducting primary and secondary data collection from different sources alongside the ability to analyse both quantitative and qualitative data.
- The candidate should be a strong team player who can work responsively, proactively and flexibly with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent research and interpersonal skills
Required -The candidate should have the right to work in the UK and able to travel internationally.
