We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to those with advanced life-limiting illnesses, who live in Northwest Surrey. We care for patients and provide support to families and carers in the community as well as in our In-Patient Unit and Well Being Centre at the Hospice.

HR Team Colleague

In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of HR and Volunteer Services in providing a high quality operational HR service across the organisation to employees, line managers, and trustees.

The successful candidate will be an HR generalist with the ability to oversee our day to day HR processes. From attracting and recruiting potential candidates, to the provision of support, encouraging engagement, developing our people and their wellbeing,  and how we recognise and reward the amazing work of our colleagues across the organisation.

You will also be involved in delivering projects and new initiatives that align to our People Plan, provide line management to three members of the HR team, and be the first point of contact for all employee relations issues.  

This is a rewarding opportunity to be an integral member of a friendly and dynamic team.

Hours of Work:  37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday

You will have excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills, have some experience of working within a similar HR role including line management of a small team, and be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt and manage difficult situations.

You will also be an Associate member of the CIPD, have a comprehensive understanding of current UK employment law and best practice, and experience of managing complex employee relations cases.
