Job description

About The Role

Can you help inspire our future conservationists and connect young people to nature?
Help us to shape unforgettable experiences for our family visitors of all ages. We believe the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them.
Our team delivers a variety of fun and educational seasonal activities, which the whole family can enjoy together. So, from pellet-dissecting to spotting their first wigeon, setting up trails to pond-dipping for waterlife, you will help bring awe-inspiring nature up close to families and spark that connection.
This is a great role for those who will enjoy getting involved behind the scenes and face to face with all of our visitors; ensuring they have with a great day out with us, encouraging them to understand the work we are doing, and supporting our work.

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You'll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

About You

This role will suit you if:

  • You are keen to support our work and be part of a visitor-facing role
  • Love to share their knowledge and passion with visitors, particularly families
  • Like to make family visits really memorable.
  • Have an approachable, warm and friendly manner
  • Are happy to work both as part of friendly, busy team and lone-working at times.
