Criminal Justice Drug and Alcohol Worker

Location: Northallerton, DL7 8LZ

Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum

The Role

Based within the Northallerton Hub, and taking a multi-disciplinary approach, working with partner agencies such as Police, Probation, Prisons and other stakeholders, you will provide a targeted approach for people using the North Yorkshire Horizons service, from harm reduction, brief interventions through to structured treatment, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to each individual's priorities. This ambition will be achieved through working across a variety of criminal justice settings, such as probation offices and the secure estate. 

In addition to delivering a range of PSI interventions, the post holder will also facilitate court imposed Drug Rehabilitation Requirements (DRR’s) and Alcohol Treatment Requirements (ATR’s) and oversee the prescribed treatment for a caseload of people within the Criminal Justice system.
The post holder will be expected to work closely with Police, Probation, Prisons and other appropriate partners and stakeholders within office based, community and outreach settings.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience of drug/alcohol and/or substance misuse work.
  • Ideally you will have some previous work experience within the criminal justice system.
